An update to SDP6 - SDP7 Migration Pack
Here is an update to SDP6 - SDP7 Migration pack.
A BETA pack is now available.
Follow the complete set of instructions posted below. Customers who may want to test it can send out an email to 'support @ servicedeskplus . com'. Those who have already requested the beta pack through http://forums.manageengine.com/forumHome.do?forumGroupId=49000000002007&forumTopicId= will receive a notification on this. Notifications will be sent to everyone who have requested for this beta pack in a phased manner and this exercise will be carried out until December 14, 2007, starting today. Feedback on this Migration pack is highly appreciated as we have to plan an open release of this Migration pack based on this feedback, at the earliest.
Instructions :
1. At any cost, the migration pack should not be installed on your production server. Configure a test server, install version 6014, restore the latest backup of the database and configuration from the production server, stop Mail fetching and notifications, survey etc... and then apply the service pack. ServiceDesk Plus Technical Support is not responsible if the migration is done on the production server and there is a subsequent data loss in the production server.
2. Refrain from publishing the beta migration pack link to others.
3. Report your issues to 'beta @ servicedeskplus . com'. Make sure that you refer the issues as BETA Issues in the subject line.
Help us with your feedback so as to help you better in terms of releasing the migration pack earlier.
