Alarm Clear Notificatins
I can't get OpManager to send Clear notifications though email. I have a Notification setup to send me an email after 3 missed polls and notifiy when the alarm is cleard. I'm getting the email when the device goes down, but I'm not getting the cleared notification. I deleted the notification from one server and added it back. It worked after that, but this process only worked on that one server. I've done this on other servers, but I'm still not getting the clear notification. I'm running OpManager

Blank reports after upgrade to 5
I just upgraded to version 5 and I am having an issue again with my report exports to .pdf, and .html showing up blank. I seem to remember a hotfix fixing this issue with version 4. Is this a different issue with the 5 upgrade?

Querying Views of Solutions
Hi, we use SD+ Build 6014 - I know that the DB records each view of a Solution - is there any way I can query this to produce a list of who viewed which solution & when the y accessed it? I want to try and build up a picture of how efffective (if at all) the solutions we provide are to users (and if they're saving us calls). Also, anyone know of any pre-populated sources of Solutions that can be imported into SD+ thanks in advance..... Arnie
Cross-site departments?
In my organization, many departments are spread across multiple sites - for example, employees in some engineering groups may be located in two or more different buildings. It seems that SD+ assumes that all members of a department are located in the same building. Is there a clean way to identify a requester's location in such cases?

Standard iptables logs - syslog?
The host I am running FA on is a CentOS 5x system which is already setup to received syslogs on port 514 from all other linux servers, including the firewall/gateway which is running a basic iptables firewall. The log entries in the syslog (/var/log/messages) look the those below, but I cant seem to import the message file with those entries, or even when I created a syslog destination to @ipaddress:1514 to send to the FA machine, it reports an invalide log entrty. Database filters take precedence or what?
I've created an alert profile to notify me of any/all critical event log entries on a group of hosts. In addition to this I have identified a subset of critical event ID's that I do not wish to be notified about. So under Settings -> Database Filters I created a filter to drop those specific event ID's. Several days later I am still receiving alerts (sometimes hundreds a day) for the supposedly filtered events. Why does this occur and how do I fix it? Thank you.
AD users migrating to other domain
Hi, I have a question. Currently, the users are imported from AD from 8 different windows domains. In the near future there will be only 2 windows domains and the users from the other 6 domains will be transferred on the 2 domains. What will be the impact of this to the servicedesk? I will have to recreate the users groups if they will change the domain? Thank you.
Microsoft ISA 2006 Firewall Client compatibility
Has anyone had a problem using the network scan facility whilst having Microsoft ISA 2006 Firewall Client installed. Every time I initiate a network scan the workstations which have the firewall client installed crash and cause the machines to reboot. I have contacted customer support who have yet to get back to me but I wondered if anyone else has experienced the same problem and has found a fix?

Oputils 5.0 - Network Monitor Listing - Minor Issues
It would be helpful to allow the network monitor list to be sorted by alias name. Additionally, when sorting by Response Time, the list is being sorted on an alphnumeric basis when it should be sorted on a numeric basis (response time in ms). Also, the response times are listed as 4.0, 3.0, 2.0, etc. There is never a value in the tenths field say for instance 4.1, 3.2, 2.4 etc. Is this an oversight?

Will monitoring all interfaces for network count data twice?
Say I want to define an IP group for the 10.10.10.0/24 network. I know that all traffic to and from the network travel through Router_A. When defining the IP group, I check all interfaces on Router_A. Does anyone know if that'll count traffic twice? Once as it enters and once as it leaves? "ip route-cache" or "ip flow egress" (if route-cache is unsupported) are configured on the interfaces. Free Disk Space not showing past this month
Hi, I have 3 servers I setup at the same time to monitor FREE disk space using supplied vbs. Server 1 w2k 4 partitions on local scsi- can report back 90 days Server 2 w2k SQL cluster 6 partitions on DAS Server 3 w2k3 SQL cluster 6 partitions on SAN 2 and 3 only report back to 30th March regardless of period chosen? Other stats report back over 90 days. Whats making that decision?
0% utilization on a Dashboard all time
Hello! We have just installed free NetFlow Analyzer 5. All works OK, however on dashboard near interface status IN & OUT tfaffic 0%. If I click 0% - I can see all conversations and traffic. But why on dashboard 0% ? How can I fix it?
fortgate 300a - can see interface but no traffic is reported
Trying to monitor traffic on Fortigate 300a interface 2. Added the fortigate 300a to Opmanager and it only recognized it as router. Changed it to firewall 300a. Opmanager can see the 4 interfaces but no traffic is reported on any of the interfaces. I used a freeware interface monitor tool using the same community string and was able to see traffic. I have delete the device and readded and double check the snmp community string but to no avail. Any idea? Thanks

How to update Sys Desc.
This is an issue that I have had for a while now over several versions of OpManager. Whenever we upgrade a router IOS, the new software load is not displayed in the Sys Description Field. I have tried using the rediscover action and it still does not change. The only way I have been able to pick up the new IOS version is to delete the device and then add it back. Summary Reporting by Groups
Another Reporting question: AM doesn't appear to allow for doing summary reports by groups of servers (only individual servers). It's not an option in the reporting tab and monitor group greys out when you select Summary Reports. We really need to do this kind of reporting. Management doesn't care for 50 individual pdf reports. Is there a workaround we can use - some sort of script or setting?? Is this capability at least forthcoming in a future release?

Monitor Device by DNS name or by IP - Opmanager 7027
I have an issue whereby some devices seem to be monitored by DNS name and some by IP address. For some devices I can add a device by discovering it with an IP but not by DNS. Also - if I do a PING request - some show they are being pinged by IP and some by DNS. Can you please advise how this works.
