Great product when it works. Try to update and sometimes it works; but when you spend more time fixing the servicedesk than using it; then it becomes furstrating. I'm looking at rolling back (we run VMWare) and risking losing call data and waiting for a GOOD SP1 fix. Show of hands?

I am trying to use SDP to keep track of all the assets for my company. But when i try to move a server out of the WORKSTATIONS group and into the server group i dont get the same detailed information about them. Is this something i am doing wrong?

Hi Support, During out of office hours we had an incident recently where a request came in from one of our priority customers and they had cc'd their boss. From supportcenter this was emailed out directly to a support reps mobile phone email address so we could respond while being away from a PC. I suppose it would be the same case if we had SMS set up. When the supportrep got this email he replied immediately as it was an urgent issue and sent the response. The originators boss didn't know that
Outbound Email as HTML
We outsource a lot of our support. These 3rd parties do not have access to the internal SDP, but are notified of tickets by email. Many users email their issues direct to SDP, and include screen shots and other graphics to demonstrate their issues. At present SDP only has text outbound emails so a lot of detail is lost about the issue to the 3rd party. When will SDP include an option to have either text or html emailing outbound?

I have my 1mbps connection speed crippled suddnely. I want to see whose pc on the netwokr is generating a lot of traffic [b/c virus or something] and disable the pc switch port/quarantine it. under normal time, the bandwidth is quite enough. witht the LAN isolated I get the right speed on my laptop. Can I run a report that lists everything I've purchased?
Hey all, We're barely scratching the surface with ServiceDesk right now. I was asked to provide a list of everything I've bought month by month and who received it. I saw the stock report for "Purchase Orders by Ordered Date." That's an excellent start. If that could list the contents of all of the purchase orders at the same time, I'd be set! Is this a possibility? I've not yet installed 7.5 yet.
No OUT traffic on HP Procurve 5400
Hi, I'm collecting sflow from a HP procurve 5412. Unfortunally there's no OUT traffic on some interfaces. As stated in many posts on this forum, i've enabled sflow on all of the procurve interfaces. Is there a solution for this behavior? Thanks in advance!

My question is: Am I better to install the license and upgrade the standard version to Enterprise, and then install version 7500? or am I better upgrading to version 7500 first and then using the license upgrade to the Enterprise version? When I run a Domain scan, it reports that one machine changes multiple times. Hi, After upgrading to 7.5 all my Additional Asset details date fileds have defaulted to 1970. To go in and change all of these is going to take ages let alone remember the dates for the fields. Please advise Regards Neil
SDP 7.5 Templates
We are trying to customize templates for the technician view and want to remove the group filed. Clicking the properties only shows opens for the requester and clicking the x to remove the field does not do anything. Also, when we are customizing a template, the save does not seem to do anything and all the options for modifiying the requester template are greyed out.

Hi, Is it possible to create custom pages in Application Manager?? For example, i would like to have the number of sessions and average response time for a 2 applications which are running on 2 tomcat web servers. Cisco IOS router with ADSL: NetFlow collection
Hi, I am trying to collect Net Flow statistic from Cisco 1841 router. The router is connected to the internet using Cisco ADSL HWIC. The connection is made using Dialer interface. Net Flow Analyzer detects all interfaces of the router correctly. My problem is: for "Dialer" interface only OUT traffic is shown for "Virtual-Access" interface only IN traffic is shown all other interfaces are shown as expected. Personal passwords for enterprise systems
We are a reseller and have just purchased PMP to use to manage the passwords of our customers' systems that we manage. We have a mixture of accounts that we create for them (service accounts) and accounts that we use to log into their systems with (for remote support,etc). Moving IT assets to another category
Hello, I want to have a seperate category in my IT assets view where I can put my servers, which are now under the category workstation. I created a new product type called "Server" which is listed in the IT assets view. However, I can't find a way to transfer the servers from the existing workstation view into the newly created server view. memory threshold alerts in AIX server
Hi Can the manage engine application perform memory threshold alerts for AIX servers? When I was about to setup the alert for memory utilization threshold. It says, �No other monitors of type "AIX" are available�. But based on the CPU & Memory utilization graph, memory usage is 99% and the alert icon is on critical status (red). Kindly help. Thanks.
Alert profile threshold configurations
I wanted to configure the alert profiles to generate high utilization alerts if the utilization is above 90 % , 5 times in 60 minutes duration. I have configured the thresholds as the same 90 , 5, 60, in the alert profile configuration. However, I am noticing an alert even if the utilization is above 90% even for 5 minutes. Please advice whether the configured thresholds are correct.
