Closing rules failing after 7505 update
My closing rules are starting to fail after the new patch - they will work for a while, but then later in the day, a tech can close a call without Cat/SubCat/Item information. Has anyone else seen this? If I restart service desk it starts working again.... Thanks. Al
Opmanager 8 Real time graphs
I've upgraded from opmanager v7 to v8. I can't find the link for Real time graphs in the devices. Are they in the same place as the beta? I had them there.
Can not change Vendor type from "unknow" to "
hi, Supporter, I am using OP7205, I can not change the vendor type. I tried to change it from Unknow to Microsoft, the page will refresh once, then i got "Field values are successfully updated to the database" but that option value still is "unknow" I can change it successful before, I have enalbed SNMP service, this device can not automatic update although I try to run "Rediscover Now" Win 2003+OP 7205+SQL2000. Availability Reports
For a while now, I have not been able to get reports on Availability. I run the report and it just comes up blank. I have ran a dbrepair and the results are still the same. This used to work, but for some reason quit a while back. Any ideas?
Error with updating the version
Hello, I can not complete the process of updating the version: AdventNet_ManageEngine_ServiceDesk_Plus_7_0_0_SP-0_22_1.ppm for AdventNet_ManageEngine_ServiceDesk_Plus_7_0_0_SP-3_0_0.ppm. The error occurred between 98% and 99% and it automatically unistall this update, before that error ServiceDesk don�t start. My server is: Windows 2003 Server + Sql2005 + ServiceDesk Professional

Need help on CPU Dial
Hi, I've installed your free product opmanager v.8, install it on centos5.2 and rhel 4.6. All has common problems. the CPU dial is not working, it says no data available. I've followed the link to test wether the test works, and via mib browser also works, I've also editted the opmanager_snapshot_dial.xml to no avail. What can I do to make it work? btw I'm using linux agent, all other dial is working correctly. Please help and thanks

I am having problems configuring VISTA's security settings to enable Opmanager 7 to monitor devices using SNMP. Worked fine while on MS Windows XP. Any Ideas?

Moving Opmanager Database From SQL2000 to a SQL 2005 server
Hi, does anyone have any documentation on this, I copied the DB to the new server setup a new admin account and gave it sysadmin role to test. I ran the DBconfiguration.bat file and changed the info in ti to point to the new server and credentials. however the apache service starts but the opmanger one fails. I look in the log file and has a sql connection error and a heap of java VM errors. As far as i can see my SQL setup is fine and user and login i created is ok. see part of the log excerpt below,
Approvals
Can you give more control over how approvals work. I Think this area is great but needs more thought in how it works or can be configured. I have posted some of this before, but i just saw it from the users side and have more to request. Can you make it so that the Manager, where the approval is being sent, can see more then just the original description. We often will correspond several times before we submit for approval and then we have to say several things again to the manager who needs to approve
Alert not correct
We are receiving alerts of high disk usage (health critical) but disk usage graphic shows that usage is low. How can I solve ? alexandre

Business Rule did not work
Hello, i try to create Business rules to assign call to Technician or Group if a text appears in the subject. It worked till version 7.0. But now with 7.5 (7004) it never works - even if the call comes per mail or if i create it as webcall. I'm using NFA 7 beta. The chart "Top devices by speed" was confusing until I figured out it is IN traffic only. Could you please note that somewhere on the chart and in the documentation? Also, would it be possible in the future to give the option of selecting IN, OUT or a total of both this chart?
No servers in Assets tab?
How can I list all servers in Assets tab? Now I have to go to Home tab and then select Assets and in All my Assets I can see servers count and when I click on it I can see servers list. But after I delete any server list shows me only workstations, so I have to go to Home tab and go on.
Unable to add all ports in OpManager 8
When rediscovering interfaces on 3com 5500G-EI switches, all the ports are displayed during rediscovery, but when selecting all the ports and clicking add, nothing happens. Only a portion of the ports are being displayed under the interfaces tab. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Contract Notifications
Is there a way to globally change the contract notifications for all contract expirations? The person originally receiving notification has left the company so we need to re-assign them to someone else. I hope to avoid doing each one individually.
service desk wont authenticate after migrating to new server
Hi all, i have just migrated my SD from one server to another and restored the database using the utility, but now SD will not authenticate and keeps on saying wrong password. can anyone help me with this? regards
Unable to scan workstations after MS kb967715 and kb91118
After applying Microsoft updates kb967715 and kb91118 we can not longer scan workstations. If we uninstall the updates from a workstation the scan works fine. Anyone else seen this and if so is there a fix?
View alerts option
Hi, Can You let me know where I can view all the currently configured alerts in app manager ? I can only find a button with "Configure Alert" and can not see what are all the alerts which I have configured in past. Thanx, Gaurav
Can't install App manager as a service
I was having some issues with the Admin console, so, I ended up uninstalling the service and reinstalling via the batch files. The service did reinstall, but, when I staret it, I get this error: Could not start..error 1075..dependency service does not exist or is marked for deletion. After some research, I see this is referring to some Apache service, but, that is not a service that is installed. I don't think it ever was. If I click the startapplicationsmanager.bat, I get an error that it will run
Uninstalled software still showing as installed
I am having an issue with the software scanning tool. I myself have uninstalled the software from these machines and it is showing in the "Audit History Trail" but when I search the software it is still there as being installed on that workstation. Do I need to unallocate the licence from the machine aswell?
Authentication - Domain account / SNMP settings
Hi, I am use to OpManager needing either SNMP or a Windows Domain account however I do not see where to configure such accounts within Applications Manager 8. Where do I configure so the Network scan will find items on my network such as .net apps, etc�? Thanks
Scheduling an Asset Scan
When an asset scan is scheduled in an AD environment does the scan allow me to select OU's or does it scan the entire domain? I want to be really sure before an automated scan is clicked. I usually invoke a scan manually via domain scan and select the appropriate OU's. Joe
Password Reveal Fail
Hello, I installed the PMP, and after adding the users and resource, tried to request for the password. The password request workflow works, password checkout is successful, but when trying to view the password by clicking on the **** masking, ther webpage reports an error and no password is shown. host not alive in the network
I have been trying to set the SNMP trap receiver but no luck so far. I have configured port 162 for listening the traps but is getting nothing. I have done SNMP ping to 192.168.10.20 which is the server sending the traps and in the status it says hos not alive in the network. The same is for the host that is listening. I also tried to change the port from 161 to whateverbut in the SNMP scan I got system not alive.

Error in 5031 adding switch
Hello I try to add our core switch Cisco 3750 to OpUtils without success. I go to Switch Port Mapper - Switches - Add Switch. Then i enter the IP address and SNMP community and click Add Switch. After 3 hours the status is still In Progress. I deleted the switch and added it again but still the same, it doesn't add. I added a bunch of other Cisco 2950 and 2960 without any problem. When i go to Diagnostic Tools - SNMP Ping i can ping the 3750 without problems, so SNMP should be correctly configured
SwitchPortMapper / Export issue
I Just download OpUtils 5. There are "Failed Switches" that I would like to export in Excel. But after I click "Export As" icon. Size of Excel, CSV, even PDF is 0 and it contain no information. Do you have any suggestion? For more information my Build Number is 5040 Thank you
Multiple Subnets and DNS Servers
Using OpUtils Prof. Very nice. We have multiple VLANS and multiple Subnets with multiple domains. Is there a way to say, for instance Subnet 192.168.9.0 uses 192.168.9.100 for DNS while Subnet 192.168.20.0 uses 192.168.20.20 for DNS Thank you.
Problems with Switch Port Mapper
I need to add another router but I am unable to do it, I want to use swtich port mapper tool that is based on the result from the router. I have a swtich where all the ARP table is on a specific router, so i need to add this router but I am unable to do it, I know my router has SNMP Up and running, if a use another software to retrieve arp table from my router using SNMP v2 I am able to do it
