Cannot monitor SNMP printer
Hello, I am trying to use AM to monitor my HP LaserJet 4300 and 4350 printer, we have downloaded the MIB file from hp website but when trying to import into AM, we received parse error, I have attached the MIB file, does anybody know how to correct this issue? Thanks.

Hello, When I go inside a incident, and click on buton "Edit" in table Request Details, I want to update the request, but it stay with this status with none change maded... I think its a bug, because just in this way occour it, when I goes to the link in up of the request or select the box incident and click on Edit, I can update with no problem... Missing interface stats on V8
We are looking at OpManager for a couple of customers. I have V7 running on one machine and V8 running on another beside it. When I add a Nortel ERS 5520-24T-PWR switch the V7 config shows port statistics and graphs, but the V8 only shows N/A and No Data. Under V8 to see this data do I need the Network version ?
opening ticket default asset
Can some one tell me why some of my user when opening a ticket the asset field will defaulted blank or it defaulted the flat panel asset number? while some are correctly defaulted to their asset PC's number.

How to monitor Informix with OpManager
Hi all, I am trying to find a way to monitor Informix with OpManager. I have managed the RedHat server that it resides on. But unsure how to go about the Informix side of things. I used the monitor scripting and that works and outputs queries to a output.txt file, but it seems that functionality only works with Application Manager, not OpManager? I also heard that you can monitor Informix with SNMP but do not know the OID's etc. Any help in this would be much appreciated. Regards Joel
VM's not showing up on ESX 3.5 server
Hi, I have 6 ESX 3.5 servers and 5 of them are showing up fine in Opmanager but the last one stubbornly refuses to display any VM's that are running on it. Using the mib browser I can see the VM info pulled from the server and I have double checked all the snmp settings on the host but still not having any luck. Business Views - Cannot edit
Hi, We currently are having a problem editing the Business View maps both in MapMaker desktop client and the Web edit, both timeout. The MapMaker application lets adds/deletion from the map but does not allow customization of the individual icons or sizes, it displays nothing when right clicking and then selecting Properties. We are running OpManger 7204 with a Microsoft SQL backend. Please advise. Thanks Chris Gibbs

Monitor file content
Hello, We have a program running every 15 minutes and everytime a new log will be generated, the format of the log name is YYYYDDMM_HHMMSS. We want to use AM to check in the following logic: 1. Search for the newest log 2. Check for a special content in the log such as "Fail" or "Success" Is it possible to do this? Thanks.
Scanning Laptops
Apologies if this has been brought up before, but I was unable to find any answers through searching the forum. Is it possible to scan any assets that are not of asset type "Workstation"? We want to be able to scan laptops that are attached to the network, however we need to keep them as "Laptop" asset type for management reporting purposes. If it isn't possible, is this something that will be addressed in future releases? Thanks :)

REMOTE DCOM Option
Hello, I tried to scan the workstations on my network. However, when I clicked 'Scan Now', the following error came up: '...remote DCOM option might be disabled in the workstation.' Some website mentioned that if I need to access data on other computer, I first needed to register DCOM server first. Am I supposed to do that, if so, I don't have any Java or VB application on my computer, how can I fix this problem. Please advice. Thanks, wku
Change opmanager tomcat default port 8005
Dear Support, I installed another application (running tomcat as well) on the server running licensed opmanager 7205 and opmanager service fails to start. Have trace the wrapper log and it shows that the port 8005 is in use. I have tried to change the port number in server.xml in tomcat conf directory but upon restarting opmanager services, the server.xml file is been replaced back with the original copy. I need to run both application running tomcat on the same server. Pls advise how to change opmanager

Filter exclusion
Hi Netflow Team, I would like to filter by exclusion IP traffic. For instance we do have a full Class C like 123.123.x.x and I would make a filter to have an overview of all the rest of the traffic (exclusion of 123.123.x.x). Problems with data input
I have had to reinstall FA yesterday due to loss of data from a significant number of my firewalls. I am running on a dual proc quad core (8 processors available) 16 Gb ram and a pair of 300Gb SAS (RAID 1 Mirror). I was working fine for a few weeks and then I had to turn my data storage down to 1week and 1week so I wouldn't run out of space. A few weeks later, when the app started loosing data I was at ~160GB in the /Firewall directory. I can get to the 160GB mark in about 7 days, then it hovers
SDP 7506 very slow and time out request
Hi everyone, We use SDP on a Windows Server 2003 running in an VMware cluster enviroment (20 technicians) have always had a few stability issues and slow to open request, close request ans nothing However, since the upgrade to 7022 it got dramatic after the upgrade to 7506 things improved. MSSQL not running on this server (on a SQL server)
I'm getting this message when I try to add an MSSQL performance monitor. Also, it says the MSSQL windows services are not running, even though they are showing when I click "discover services". My credential tests says snmp/wmi passed.
Report on response times needed
We need a report on average response times per SLA. Is it possible to have a report to show the average time between Request creation date, and the time of it's first Work Log item. We would like the records to be grouped by Priority. And we would be running the report on a monthly basis. We have to reporrt on response times to the SMT on a monthly basis so vital that we have this report. Surely this is a standard report that people need ? Has anyone created one ? Regards
Server Availability Report Error

opUtils screen resolution
Hello support team, I'm using a secondary monitor on my computer. The main screen is 1920 x 1200, the secondary is 1280 x 1024. When I open opUtils on the second screen it looks like the screen width of some opUtil pages is set to a width of 1920. This happens with e.g. the IPAM screen, SPM single switch detail display but not SPM main display, rogue detection "Discovered" but not "Rogue", "Guest", "Trusted" Can that be fixed? Regards, Goetz
Interface Refresh
On all of my switches we use the description to name what the port is connected to which changes occasionally. I have tried to do a rediscovery and it did not update them to the new description's that had been changed. What I ended up doing is removing the device and re-adding it in order for it to be updated. Is there a better way to accomplish this? If so is there a way to schedule Opmanager to check that value on a periodic basis? Thanks, Joe
Feature Request : Page Advance button at bottom of pages
Currently you must scroll all the way up to top of page in order to advance the screen to the next page. A similar button at bottom of page would help quite a bit. Also the screen must be scrolled to the right in order to click the advance button. Moving it closer to center or even to the left would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
UPS Dials not working
We have 2 devices selected as Powerware 9390. The monitors all work and collect data, but the UPS Load and UPS Status dials are not populating. Are we missing something? There were earlier posts about modifying ups_monitors.xml (the data for the Powerware 9390 is not in the file), which I've tried. Shouldn't standard devices already be in the .xml file? Switchport Manager hangs at 43% on 6509 switch scan
We have Firewall Manager so I decided to install and test Oputils to see if it is something I could use. It installed OK and I added a router and a switch then started the scan. It starts OK but stops at 43.23% and does not proceed any further. The switch is a Cisco 6059 with the internal router installed so the router IP and the switch IP are the same. So far the partial scan does show MAC addresses but not resolving to IP yet. I am assuming that the resolving will happen after the scan is completed.

Hello, We are beginning to use the customer portal and we get some questions. For instance if it would be possible to assign some kind of account administrator. That would be an employee of an account which would be able to change settings for requests (for instance closing). Also whether it would be possible to assign some reports to customers so they could see some information based on their account requests.
