Upgrade and Migration Plan - Suggestions.
We're running SD+ ver. 6.0.0 build 6015, and we're planning on upgrading up to version 7.5 and migrating from MySQL to MS SQL to be compliant with company standards. We're hoping v7.5 gives us more details in reporting and in automated ticket creation etc.
The plan was to install build 6015 in a test environment, restore a backup of data taken from our live environment, then test the upgrade path all the to v7.5. Once we're happy with it, we'd then migrate from MySQL to MS SQL. Once that is good, setup a new live server and live MS SQL db, and do it all over again, then cut over the servers.
Problem I am running into now tho, is Ive installed v6. patched to build 6015, start and stopped SD, and have tried restoring our backup, but I run into the following error:
Unable to restore database : Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream
I tried with some older backups, and still the same problem.
What steps am I missing or what could be causing this? On top of installing SD+, do I need to install MySQL?
