Outgoing mail does not get sent when tickets are assigned, updated, or closed.
We are running the current version of ServiceDesk plus (version 7509). Although the settings are in place, no email gets sent when a ticket is assigned to a technician or when the ticket is updated or closed. We are running Exchange 2007. It worked fine in the past. Incoming email works fine, so I don't think it is a authentication error. Any ideas?

PMP 6.1 Password Alert
Hi All, A few days ago I've installed PMP 6.1 and went filling the application with passwords. Today I just saw (as admin) a yellow bell. When I move my mouse over it it's "ringing" and get a popup with the text "1 passwords in violation". What does this mean? How do I find out which password is violated? How do I get rid of this alert? A lot of questions but I hope someone can help me with it.... Thanks in advance. Fobe.

I would like to perform a search for a specific user. Is there a search option to find a specific user among the various reports and events. Scanning the logs is causing eye strain.
Rule - Catch All
When someone uses the quick create option, the request isnt assigning a group and therefore, none of the technicians are getting emails. I tried to create a rule that is if category is NOT...(all the categories we have) then place in general group. But it doesnt seem to be working. Do the rules not apply to quick create?
Import Active Directory Users to Business Unit
Hello, I am trying to use the business units option and it looks really good. I added a second business unit (let's call it B, the first one is called A). I had a supportrep who was available in the global support reps. I wanted to remove it's rights from A and only let him have access to B. So I removed him and tried to add him (with active directory import) into B. The problem is that the supportrep will not show up there. Installation of OPManager with SQL2005 database
Trying to install Opmanager onto a server with SQL2005 , Opmanager will NOT install as it says it connot connect. I have created an sa equiv account , even created the database and made sure the sa equiv is the owner then put those detail into the install part of Opmanager. It tells me it cannot connect and to install MySQL instead !!!. I cannot find any information on how to install with SQL2005 for this product, can some one help please ? Scott
Purchased/Using OpManager 6 - Licensed to Use 8.0?
Hello, We purchased and are currently using OpManager 6 with AD, Exchange and SQL plugins. Are we licensed to use 8.0? I wasn't happy with some of 7.0 functionality and have been waiting for the next release. At this point, I wouldn't upgrade. I would start with a fresh install of 8.0. Thanks, Dave

Request Templates missing from latest release
Hi, I'm not sure how many revisions ago this happened - if indeed it's deliberate. But the Request Template facility is missing from 7509. Notably the "Request" image on the main page is missing the drop-down option (see attached). Is this restrictred to my particular installation?
Internet Explorer 7 crashed without error

Creating - Editing trap processors
Hello, I am attempting to set up trap processors for our Liebert UPS. We are trying to log when our UPS go into test state as well as a few other states. The MIBs are loaded and working fine to pull data, such as UPS load, from the devices. I have attempted to create custom trap processors in addition to trap processors from MIBs. How to delete default Opmanager Device templates?
I am finding 2 default Liebert Device templates w/ nearly the same System OID (slight difference).. when I try to add custom monitors to one of them from a Liebert supplied MIB, Opmanager UI hangs on an ADD function in URI, w/ status none bottom left. I have to relogin to Opmanager, and go back to templates, but I find my changes are not saved. I can successfully add and modify other templates and devices so I suspect something wrong w/ the 2 Liebert templates.. there is no way to delete in
Purchase Order Default Numbering

Some errors in 7503

Unable to send emails to some users
We are having problems with sending emails to specific users. We have created contacts and some of these contacts we cannot send emails to. We get the following error. "Exception while trying to send notification for the request." I can send them an email just fine from outlook. We have created connection exceptions for the server and recipient in exchange and it is not making a difference. We are not getting a bounce back in exchange, only in Support Center. For most users we can send just fine.
IP Binding
I'm trying to change the IP binding on my Windows server. I've found how to change which IP ServicDesk is listening on, but the problem I'm having is that it still won't let me change the port to 80 since I have a different website on this server using port 80. I have an IIS site using 10.10.0.6:80 and I'm trying to get ServiceDesk to use 10.10.0.7:80. Like I said, I can change the IP to 10.10.0.7 via the TrayIconInfo.xml conf file, but it won't let me change the port using the changeWebServerPort.bat
Device Shows Alerts but I find no problems
Many of my devices show a yellow exclamation marker next to it, yet when I go to the SNAPSHOT view, I see no problems. Why are some of them marked with a alerts when there are no Alarms and all data is being captured. Additionally, how can I get OpManager to not show a problem when I have a VMware VM turned off. If I need to be alerted of a problem for a machine, I will add it to be monitored. Thanks, Bryan

[Solution] Mail fetching stops occasionaly since v7.5
Hello, We had a problem with mail fetching which stopped now and then since v7.5. Our problem was with the default settings to stop mail fetching. In v7.5 there are mail fetching settings which by default are checked (why?). These are under: Admin -> Settings -> Mail fetching settings. Uncheck both options ("Suppress auto-notification" and "Stop email fetching") and everything works fine again. (Or alter these to your needs).
OpManager Ent Ed and Netflow plugin

Hi, everybody. I install NetFlow Analyzer 7, i configured it and do all i need, but when i saw in Storage settings i found, that i can store info about netflow only during month. Suppose I have 20 servers all attached to a switch which is itself attached to a router; and that switch goes down. Hi, I'm having trouble with the following query within the "NEW QUERY REPORT" function of Service Desk Plus. Individually each of the 3 following subqueries run fine. When I union subquery 1 with subquery 2 no problem. But as soon as I union the 3rd subquery I get a failure. Also I cannot union subquery 3 individually with 1 or 2. What am I missing here? Ps. Multiple time periods per notification profile
You should be able to define multiple time periods when a notification profile is applied. Currently it is not possible to define easily that a profile is applied night time during week days and the whole weekend, i.e., Mon-Fri between 1700-0900 and from Fri 1700 to Mon 0900.
problem viewing helpdesk in IE 8
cannot view helpdesk in IE 8. users get a black screen and nothing else. we are running vista enterprise with all updates and sevice packs installed. 75% of our fleet is brand new. works perfectly in IE7 and Firefox. any suggestions?

What is the difference between 32 bit and 64 bit traffic counters? Why would I choose one over the other?
Where did Group view go?
In the 7.0 system, we were able to see requests by group via the drop down menu. Now in 7.5, we no longer have that functionality. I've been forced to create a custom view and have people use the custom view to see things, but the ability to view by group was easier. Any one else running into this sort of trouble?
