When I open the eventlog analyzer it hangs in "Report is being generated. Please wait" this has been happening for quite a while now
STP, RSTP, MSTP management.
Hi everyone, I know that OpManager can chart the STP state of ports on a switch, however what would be far more useful would be to map an overview of STP(or RSTP/MSTP) on the network (display which ports are blocking and which are forwarding and if there are any loops). I know LoriotPro has STP Management, sadly it does not support RSTP or MSTP. Is there any hope the OpManager team would consider implementing this feature or can someone point me to another tool that would give us a network view of
Workstations Failed During Scan
I have a lot of workstation that are not in use right now and are showing up failed durring scan. Well thats because they are off... I have some in Not In Use and Dissposed and then still are showing. Is there a way I can get them not to show up when doing the scan? I removed them from AD as well....

Do I need to do anything to enable the ServiceDesk API?
I am trying to use the API, and have followed the guide, but when I use the URL specified I just get an Apache 404 error. Question regarding deleting configurations
Is there an easy way to delete multiple "old" configurations that have already been executed or permanently suspended? To delete one, it takes anywhere from 30 seconds to over a minute before the screen refreshes and I can move on to the next one that needs to be deleted. I have lots of old configurations that I would like to delete, but don't have the time to allocate to deleting them all at one time. Currently, I'll delete a couple and then the next day delete a couple more, etc. Would it
Just Highly Vulnerable Patches?
Is there an easy way to push out patches that are needed to just the Highly Vulnerable computers only? I push out patches every week to all my computers and still there are always Highly Vulnerable Computers left over. I can never get 90 to 100 percent of my computers Healthy. Right now I still have 100 Highly Vulnerable computers out of the 500 that I push patches too. Jamie

Request search does not work
Hello, After upgrading to 7.5 my collegues all reported that they are unable to search in requests. I was the only one who was able to search in requests. After investigating browsers etc I found out that this has to do with language settings. When the english language is selected everything works fine. I am wondering if there is someway to make a report detailing how many copies of a piece of software are installed on a pc with a count for each day/month/year. The report would list all of our software and for example on July 1st we had 50 copies of office 2007 standard installed and july 2nd we had 55 copies installed ect...Can anyone help me make a customer report? Hi, Administrative passwords are literally ‘aplenty’ in enterprises of all sizes. They are mostly insecurely shared and lie scattered in the enterprise leaving little scope for any internal controls. Administrative identities like 'root' account on UNIX/Linux, 'Administrator' in Windows, 'Enable' in Cisco Devices etc are shared by a group of administrators. Apart from the ‘officially shared’ passwords, users often tend to reveal administrative passwords to their colleagues for some reason or other.

I have been able to customise my user portal in regards to changing colours but is this possible once logged in? At present everything is blue and I would like to be able to change this?? Thanks Liz
Opmanager 9 unable to parse syslogs.
We are using Opmanager 9 and have a syslog-ng setup to forward to our opmanager installation. When in the admin, syslog rules, tab we have setup an alarm. We can watch the logs being received though the "Syslogviewer" action. However nothing is sent to the alert that works for everything else. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
after SQL conversion Opmgr service stops
I just converted Opmgr from Mysql to SQL. After the conversion the Opmgr service doesn't start automatically. If I start it manually then try to logon to Opmgr I get 500 Internal Server error and the service stops. The conversion process seemed to go OK. However during the DB restore there were some warnings, but no errors. At the end the restore reported that it completed successfully. We're running Opmgr 8020 on Windows 2003 SP2 English. Attached are the warnings and the only error I could find

If I have few status in our system which we have added and would like to know for example how much time each support rep has spend in that specific status, is that possible? In other words, If I support rep received a request and changed its' status to test phase and spend 3 hours in that status, then it will send for approval to another support rep with a new status of approve phase and he or she spend another 2 hours on this, can I find out through a report how much this support spend on the test

I can't seem to get the Customer Portal Settings to take. I have tried to change all the options in this page and it doesnt seem to apply. Yes I have clicked "Apply Changes". Do I need to pay more to use this too?
Failed to establish connection with web server. Gracefully shutting down OpManager
I'm getting this error when trying to start Opmanager. I already check the lib files & they are OK. What else could it be. No changes were made & it just stopped working. Already restarted & no go either.
Changing requesters views does not work.
We set our department heads and directors with the ability to view all requests for their department but it seems that after a few hours (approximately 24) it keeps reverting to show only their own requests. Please advise if there is a fix for this or will there be one as it is quite annoying.
Failing to Scan Server
The error message is FAILURE :One of the attribute of the Workstation refers another Object which does not exist. Hence cannot add this workstation. Please can someone advise of possible fixes, strangely, this server is being detected as a router in the automatic scan but none of the settings are available.
Linux monitoring through SSH
I have just started to create Red Hat Enterprise Linux monitors with SSH. I have noticed that on one of my servers that it works great. However on another server it will not pull out any information for System Load or disk Utilization, and this so happens to be what we actually want to monitor on the server. Any Ideas. Thanks, John

Hi, I am planning to publish SD over the internet. I notice that the approval link sent to the approvers has the NetBIOS name of the server where SD is resolved.
