Problem in migrating Application Manager from one Linux machine to other Iinux machine
Hi, How can I migrate Application Manager from one Linux machine to other Iinux machine? I am taking backup of DB from A machine, and restoring it in B machine. In both the cases, it is showing done successfully. But when I restart Application Manager on Machine B, I am not being able to get my configurations restored in Application Manager B. java.exe utilizing 100% of CPU
Hi. I'm running ServiceDesk Plus Enterprise version 7.5.0 Build 7508 with MSSQL 2008 as backend. The ServceDesk crash on random occations, and the reason seems to be that the process java.exe is utilizing 100% of the CPU constant. I've read a couple of entries regarding this here in the forum, but these seems to be old 'tweaks' - it dosent solve my issue. Worst Technical Support EVER!
Let me start by saying this product isn't bad. But the Outsourced (Indian) Technical Support is the worst support I have EVER dealt with. We are looking at using the product for our help desk. Although the software looks pretty good. We have spent weeks trying to get basic questions answered by the india-based support representatives. I have had half a dozen IT staff fail to give myself and my fellow workers, basic answers to simple questions. Some of which included: Can we integrate our own MYSQL

SOX Compliance Reports from Linux Server
We are evaluating the ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer for SOX Compliance. Our financial system is on a Redhat Linux server and we have set the syslog up to transmit to the EventLog Analyzer. Data is flowing into the EventLog Analyzer, but is not appearing on any of the SOX Compliance reports. We note that the help section indicates that "These reports are derived based on the Event IDs.". Does this indicate that the SOX reports can only be generated from Windows servers or are there settings

IP Groups have double the site-to-site traffic
For our MPLS network, I have created a few IP groups to help identify traffic flows going from our head end MPLS router to specific sites. The traffic displayed at a devices view (say the router) shows correct, however the IP groups seem to show double the traffic (exactly). I have verified that ip ingress is configured correctly on the end devices (as stated above, my devices show the right bandwidth). So basically, if I create an IP Group from Site A to Site B, it may show that a 1000kbps peak,

Hello, we use a Mailsystem (Kerio Mailserver) which does not use the "In-Reply-To" in its mail headers when you send a reply to a mail. For this reason ServiceDesk creats new tickets when someone replies to a mail a technican send him oder her instead of allocating this reply to the right ticket. Failover - failback?
Hi, I have OPManager running in a failover configuration using the built in mysql database. The failover itself worked fine but when the primary server came back online both servers now think they are the primary. I've done some testing adding a different device to each server and neither of them appear in the other server. It looks like they are running independantly of each other, is there something that I need to do to get them back in hot standby mode? Thanks, Gareth

We have a new batch of Dell Latitude E4200 laptops that we are trying to add to SD+ Asset Inventory. The error "/@@@@@ No MC Name @@@@ : Problem while discovering the workstation." is displayed in the System Log Viewer for each time we run a local scan (using the vbs script on the local machine or try and import the resulting XML manually). I was evaluating your software and came to a very disturbing issue for the deleting the request. This is the case: If a support rep who does not have permission to delete or even see any other groups request, is still can do this by typing it in the browser address section. i.e. if a support rep wants to delete a request such as xxx, can simply type http://............/WorkOrder.do?woMode=deleteWO&woID=xxx& and this will delete the request number xxx from the database. This is true for even viewing

Problem with mail
We are using service desk plus and have had no problem getting our mail. Out of the ble the fetching of mail just stopped. In the admin section where we configure the email everything looks ok, and the mail fetching is running, but it sais that last time it tried to get a mail was thu sep 03 and the time. I have started and stopped the mail fetching but for no use. Anybody who have any good idea why it just stopps and can i force it to fetch mail? Kristin

I've Linux RedHat Version and OpManager8 in root. First of all, I need to apache before install OpManager or so. Or OpManager8 built-in apache. Cannot add new CCTV
Hi, I am trying to create my own CCTV view with just the Business View and list of alarms, however when I try to do it, I am unable to add a new CCTV view. It just not not show the new CCTV view in the list of CCTV views. It however does not throw and error while adding it. I tested 7014, 7016, and upgraded on 7505. In installation window I can still see 7014 and 7016 version. They remain visible as it is still installed. May I uninstall older versions?

Hi, I wonder if there is any visual indication, if OPM is running in active or standby mode? When I start both servers, the green task icon is shown, regardless of the condition in which the server is. I see that in the OpManager/images/ folder are different "logo16x16_xxx.png" files in gray, green and red. Maybe this would be a nice visual indication. Best regards Philip

Custom snapshot dial for Dell Poweredge 2950 disk status?
Hello, Is it possible to have a custom snapshot dial, that displays the disk status like in Dell OpenManage below: So it would display the disks and then either a green, amber or red light depending on the status? Hi there, I was wondering if it was possible to create a customized report to illustrate top web destinations. I have tried to set the destination by IP and by hostname (eg. 69.63.x.y and website, *.website.com) but I'm unsure if the report is correct as I've reviewed my firewall logs and there are hosts that show up in the log but not in the report. reoccurring problem with login window
we are running the 7.5 version of ServiceDesk plus at our office. Occassionally, in the mornings before any of the employees have logged in, all the service desk login pages do not show the network selection dropdown menu, and therefore none of the users can log in. not even the administrator accounts on the local authentication. At this point we need to shut down the serivce desk system from the server and reboot it. after that, it usually works. but its still nuisance to have to deal with. we believe

Hi I have installed Netflow Professional build 7591 on a Server 2008 (std) VM, seemed to install fine. I have made no changes, not even logged onto it yet. I want to configure it to use a remote MSSQL 2005 (std) database, rather than the local mysql db, and have followed instructions as best as possible from http://www.manageengine.com/products/netflow/configuring-mssql.html. If I rename a 'Site' (I currently only have one), will everything associated with the site's old name automatically follow, and still remain associated with the same site with its new name?
