Mail Fetch won't start after server outage
Have noticed after a recent outage that servicedesk isn't fetching the mail. All looks ok, but when I stop fetching and 're-type' in the username and password I receive the message - FAILURE :Email Settings saved successfully. But error occured while trying to check connection with mail server - Authentication Failed using the given username and password. The username and pw are correct. I've even reset the pw to make sure. After the above message I can still click on Fetch Mail and all looks fine
Deleting software assets
Why do some software that has no installations not delete? We have tried moving type from managed to unidentified and it still will not delete. Some will, some won't. What needs to be done to delete?

Is there a way to track Feature ID's given from SDP Employee's. I keep getting these but do not know how I can track what the status of them are. We would like to know what the status of the ones we have been given are. Also is there a way to track Request ID's.

Hi everyone I got some problem with accessing into OP8 yesterday night. I checked Event log on the server, It said the OP8 was terminated yesterday afternoon. I tried to bring it back by restarting the managengine services and run the repairDB.bat and reinitialDB .bat. But none of them working. Can anyone give me some idea what happen is this? Is database corrupted again?

Dear Supporters, I have a problem to set up some mail notifications. Short explanation: I set up Business Rule: when a new request arrives: sender begins with “abcd” perform these action: set priority as “High” and Place to group “1234” In the appropriate group “1234” I added support reps interested in this group. Also I enabled both available options: send notification to support rep when new request is added to this group and when a request in this group is left unpicked (with selected time)

Newly emailed requests coming in as "Unassigned"
Just upgraded to the latest version of ServiceDesk plus. For some reason now, all emailed requests come in as unassigned, and aren't put in the General Category. As a result I don't get an email alert, nor are they added to my queue. Where can I change this setting? - Eric
when you click on a change sometimes a different change is brought up
Sometimes but not all the time, whenyou click on a Change in the Change Tab, that is not the Change that gets opened. Sometimes if you reorder the changes and try again the right one gets opened but not all the time. Sometimes you have to exit ServiceDesk all together before it fixes itself.
java.exe using 90-98% of CPU
Hi there, Since the latest build of SDP I have been experiencing issues with performance and mail fetching on SDP. I migrated everything to a new server with entirely fresh install but it has returned. I updated java and still no luck. Now my system has stopped fetching mail. I run on Windows 2008 with TREND officescan AV, and the system is literally clean as can be. DB is only about 100mb so it cant be that. When mail fetching is stopped the system performance returns to normal. Please help.

Ability to add attachments to a task. We would really like the ability to add an attachment to a task. We use tasks for multipul things and it would be very helpful if we could add an attachment to a task for multipul reasons, to show work completed, to show an approval for something being done, for what we call a UAT form (User Acception of Testing).

OpManager DE - Temperature gauge not working for Cisco 3700 Series Routers

AppManager 9 post installation issue
I installed AppManager 9 as a fresh installation because I moved the program files location, and it went fine for the managed server. However, on the managment servers the service will not stay started. Unable to Uninstall Ver6 Agent
When I try and remove Desktop Central 6 agent from add/remove programs I get a "fatal uninstall error" and the program cannot be removed. Tried using Desktop Central 7 to upgrade the agent or remove it and this does not work. How do I force remove or clean up an agent install on this computer. Thanks, Jeff
NetFlow Analyzer - Accessing data from another application?
Is there a way to access the information externally via another application? For example we would like to pull reports on a per IP basis, how much bandwidth they have used over given periods of time? I realise your software may already do this, however we require this to be accessed via another internal application, and reports built of these. If this is possible, do you have any documentation on this?
Let Requestors view any request
I have recently discovered that if a requester creates a request, I can forward that to another requester and it can be viewed but, If a technician creates one and forwards that to a requester, the requester gets a message saying that it is out of their scope and can't view it. Any suggestions?

Migrate opmanager to iis
Now opmanager is running on the default apache server but i want it to run on IIS. Is this possible without deinstalling opmanager? Also when i want to change the database from mysql to sqlserver2005 i get an error : host or port fails(localhost, 1433). Anybody?
utilize custom mib?
Is it possible to monitor a software package that uses SNMP but runs on a port other that 161? I have a software package that runs on my servers already monitored by OpManager on port 161. The software package runs on another port (199) with it's own mib. How can I add this information to the servers existing snapshot page? What I am asking is can you monitor an additional SNMP port on the same snapshot page as the one being monitored over 161? Thanks in advance.

It doesn't happen to all Worklog entries but enough to make it significant. I recently took over the role of managing our servicedesk install and I noticed there is a technician called sdadmin in the list. We are currently very close to our license threshold for technicians. So, can I remove this sdadmin technician or does it serve some purpose? FYI I am NOT talking about the sdadmin role, just a technician with the name sdadmin. Cheers!

ESX 3.5 Virtual Machine Email Alert Only Showing Machine Name for One CPU Core?
We monitor our ESX VI3 clusters with OpManager and there seems to be a glitch in the alerting for virtual machines with more than one CPU assigned. Example: DatabaseServer01 is assigned 4 CPU and during the course of daily operation, some action causes said CPU's to breach the assigned threshold of 95%.
