Hi We are using AD Selfervice We are using AD Selfervice Ver. 4.4 Build 4430. We want to make SSL. when we enable SSL. the port number will change 9251. My query is.. the port number 9251 also has to change in client site or it will be same 8888. After enabling SSL i waited for 2 days, its not getting change in client side.the port number is still 8888. please help Thanks in Advance
SD+ does not import current OU structure and relationships
Hi, Running SD+ 7.5.0 build 7504. When I import OU's from AD I am not seeing my current OU structure in AD but rather as it was when we first started up SD+. Anyone having similar?
V8.0 - Alpha & Beta interest
With a potential Q2 release of V8.0 when will you be able to open this out for interested parties to get thier hands on it and start giving feedback and testing. With standard non disclosures etc and not using in production. Seems to be some new direction in it, so likely to get some interesting feedback but hopefully get things sorted that might cause issues for users migrating out of the way ( like the sites stuff that were an issue for some going to V7.5 stage ) Look forward to it. 1. Goto the online demo 2. Log in as a technician 3. Select Open Requests 4. Click on any of the requests 5. Click �Enter Resolution� With Safari, I am unable to type in the Text Box. I tested with Firefox on the same machine and it works fine. We are currently demo'ing your product. Most of our end users are running Mac OSX 10.3 and 10.4 with only Safari installed.

Hi, I'm new to SDP and am having difficulty with defining my priority matrix and SLAs. We've migrated from a simple hepldesk ticket system and we're now finding that our simple SLAs aren't really appropriate for use with SDP. For example, the ability to stop the request timer when awaiting information/testing from a user, means that our incident SLAs are probably too long. I'd appreciate screenshots of your matrix and ideas of your SLAs for the priorities within the matrix. Thanks in advance, Rich

Hi i have an implementation question I have a Linux Redhat system with Oracle installed. I want to create a New Monitoring (Bulk) that it will - Connect (I have the user and Password) - Execute a query that will report back a number (i have this) - Bring Back the query response (number of records in a table) - Create an alert based on the response (if >20) - Clear the alert based on the response (if<20) - Have a Graph reporting the perfomance of the query. Can we set a differnt ping and snmp collection interval?
There are situations where we want to ping certain devices rather quickly (1-2 minute) so we will know right away if it becomes unreachable...BUT we don't always need all the snmp info gather at the same interval and would like to only get that information every 10 minutes. Can we set the ping to have a different polling time then all the interface/cpu/memory/etc information? Thanks, -Wayne
Ability to set notification for Problems & Changes
One thing that i would like to have added to servicedesk is the ability to add business rules to problems and changes. We often have to alert multiple groups when changes are updated or when problems are created. The tool currently does not have this capability.
Desktop Central and Service-desk detected software
I have integration setup between DC and SDP and its "seems" to be working ok except for detected software. In Desktop Central I get 1709 individually detected pieces of software and in SDP I see only 1519. Is there anything that would account for this fluctuation. I dont want to have to seperatelly maintain two different lists of hardware/Software in these applications. having them sync is incredibly useful but if they do not sync correct, why even bother. I am going through the log files and see where I'm not getting e-mail messages sent out to notify users of password expiration -- serverout0.txt javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException I have double checked my account settings in the 'Server Settings' configuration page. Is there a way to send a test e-mail through once I've put in my account settings? The only way I can currently figure out is to have the 'report' run and send the messages... Data not recorded in Script Monitor
Hi I now have lost 3 days of data on one of my script monitors. The output file is refreshed correctly with new data every time the monitor is run, but in Application Manager, only -NA- is displayed. And in last 7 days, the latest data is 3 days old. Help appreciated.
SQL Server 2005 install
Had to manually create a couple tables: AM_SearchKeywordsColumnsMapper and AM_SearchResultsHandler. I'm guessing that SQL server has case sensitive column names, so have capitalized installer has: create table AM_SearchResultsHandler ( ID BIGINT NOT NULL, ... had to change to: create table AM_SearchResultsHandler ( id BIGINT NOT NULL, ... After that, the stderr.log file fills up with a bunch of invalid column names, and all the services stop. I'm switching to trying a MySQL install instead.
App Manager Disk Utilization Error
We keep getting the following critical alert on windows 2003 servers: The disk partition DiskUtilization-D: is removed.Kindly delete it using 'Delete Removed Disk' When we log into the server there are no errors in the event logs and the partitions are 100% fine. This seems to be a false positive. Has anyone else experienced this?
SAP CCMS add-on: attribute name not reporting the complete ccms path
Hello, I've noticed that AppManager doesn't report the complete path for an attribute. For example (look at the attachment) I have in my CCMS tree several "Free space" attributes for each Oracle tablespace. The "Monitor Information" area display a generic "Free space" attribute in alarm, not the complete path. As I've set an email reaction to the alarm in order to inform administrators about the problem, they only receive a generic "Free space" problem. Is there a workaround to this problem or a
URL Sequence editing or import/export
Dear all, We've just ordered AM6 to do monitoring of our web applications. This supposes a heavy use of the URL Monitor and URL Sequence monitor types. However, maintaining the URL Sequence seems difficult as the editing features of them is very limitted (or I should change my glasses :-) ) : - how to reorder the urls ? - how to change the url labels - how to add/delete an url in the sequence ? Alternativelly, is there a way to export a monitor definition and then import it back after manual modifications
bug as400 event log
hi, i think i've found a bug about the as400 feauture I have installed the software the January 22, I set date format to ddMMyy (i'm from italy) and the software work well. When i come back to the office January 25, the software could no longer recover from log 'AS400. today I checked the logs and found that the program command DSPLOG PERIOD(000000 270110) OUTPUT(*PRINT) is wrong, beacause 270110 isn't an hour but is a date. The command right is DSPLOG PERIOD((000000 270110)) OUTPUT(*PRINT). Here
Priority Matrix
Hi, we recently finished our evaluation of SDP and purchased the Professional version However - we were evaluating Enterprise and it seems that one of the features we used, Priority Matrix, has been removed from the editable options, but is still causing effects. This means that users cannot manually set a priorty and we cannot put it in a request template, because it complains that it is automatically set with the matrix, which we now cannot disable. please see attached screenshot. Upgraded to 8050, now issues
Once I upgraded to 8050 things started going wrong. Among other issues, it appears that now the "Server Availability Distribution" is all over the map. Look at the times at the top of the chart that is attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Error! Displayed in Alarm Escalation
I've e-mailed OpManager support twice about this but had no reply... I was adding a new rule within Alarm Escalation but included a space. I was shown an error telling me to remove special characters, which I did so. On then trying to save the escalation rule a page simply displaying "Error!" was shown. Now this is all I see when I click on Alarm Escalation. What can I do to fix this? Thanks
Switchports and alerts
I have several Cisco access switches that are monitored by Opmanager. Every time a user unplugs their laptop or it gets shut off we get an alert. This is not optimal as we get hundereds of alerts a day. I have read the forums and the solution has been to unmanage the ports. I do not want to do this since I want to continue to gather performance statistics on these ports. I have seen the ability to change the criticality of certain interface rules but I dont want to change the rules for interfaces

How can I make the user Guide available?
Is there an easy way I can make the user guide available from the same server as Service Desk Plus is on. I don't have IIS on the box, wanted a clean environment. Stopping mailservices BEFORE starting restored system
Is there anyway to ensure that scheduled reports and e-mail fetching are turned OFF when a system is restored? I ask because I restored our live environment to test server to check the backups and ended up with a couple of scheduled reports being sent out from the test system AND it picking up e-mails. I appreciate it may be very unsupported/non standard, but an indication of what database tables control the processes or a config file that could be adjusted prior to starting the services would be
