Switchport descriptions and updates
Good evening, I have a Cisco switch with 100 switchports. The description on these ports changes. How can i reindex them to update the description. If i do a rediscovery it does not notice that those ports have changed. Thanks in advance, i am very much looking for a solution. -sean

Technician view own requests that they submit
There is a huge problem with tracking requests that are submitted by technicians. I have seen several posts about this but no resolution. Hello, managers love to know how our time is spent. Here is the criteria Technician Time spent by individual ticket When the ticket was opened and when it was closed (the problem with this one is that a ticket can be resolved and if the user doesn't close it right away it is left open until 5 days pass (our business rule) then it is closed. Is there a way, when a tickets are assigned to a group (ex. network) the ticket is auto assigned to the next technician in line? Physical Memory% Question
I'm using your trial sw to monitor 2 AIX ervers and it always shows the physical memory in 99%. I execute svmon -G and I see that 50% of the memory is free. Each server has 11GB and 2 tomcats with 2GB each.
OpManager mtce over midnight
How do you assign mtce past midnight, OpManager insists that 00:30 is wrong it the start period is 23:00 The best you can manage is 23:00 to 23:45, then 00:00 onwards, leaving a gap of 15 mins
Outbound email from business unit displays main reply to email
I have setup the business units, the inbound emails are XXX@123.com and XXX@abc.com the inbound requests are routed to the correct business unit, however when auto replies are generated the reply/from address shows the main email XXX@123.com. So when a contact replies to the request it is routed to the wrong business unit and a new ticket is created in the main business unit. How do I get the reply to field on the different business units to display the correct reply to address? Please help ASAP

I need to capture just a few of my router interfaces, however, he has no support for this functionality. Need to filter all packages by origin, to diagnose what is the standard interface that is generating traffic. For example, all traffic from source network 10.13.0.0/16. You can filter this? Dear all, I'm facing another problem with my ELA. I've already added 58 servers in my monitoring list but now, when I try to add another one, the webpage takes a long time, then pops a message box saying: Unable to add following hosts: Duplicate:[ITMIBB00] Where ITMIBB00 is the actual servername of the host that i'm trying to add, either netbios and DNS. We are in the last throws of evaluating OPManager with a view to implementing it within the next two weeks and have a couple of questions. 1. When we create a Device Templates for particular devices we enter the OID we want queried, but how does the response tie in with the OID. Tables in Reports dont show all data when printed
When printing a "At a Glance Report" generated on the information stored about a Switch, the "Display Name" of each Port is not fully displayed. There appears to be no way of expanding the column so that when the report is printed the full details can be seen. How can this be achieved ?

Can I change the domain of a server device?
Our company was purchased and we had to migrate all of our servers from one domain to another. So my question is how can I change the domain of all of our servers in OpManager? The "Rediscover Now" action appears to work and it shows the correct IP address. However, the credentials for the new domain fail so our monitoring no longer works. One strange thing I noticed is that the "Asset Details" shows the device name with the old domain! The only way we've found to get around this problem is to delete
Sort by Columns
I would like to propose a minor enhancement to Opmanager. Where ever columns are used to display data, can they be made "sortable". In the attached screen shot of the Downtime Schedules, the column headers are static. It would be really good if they could be made "sortable" so that you can organise the view by Name, Status, Type etc. This would be ideal if this was the default for all views of this sort. thanks

How to customize the Snapshot page?
I see several threads from 2008 and 2009 claiming you plan to implement this "in the future" but no solid road map for a seemingly necessary feature such as customizing the snapshot page. Has this feature been implemented yet? I'm amazed Op Manger seems to think that a one size fits all is sufficient for every client when this is clearly not the case. I do not wish "disk utilization" graphs on my snapshot page. How do I remove them and replace them with other monitors?

We use a model of having Accounts that sell our products and a relationship of the account to an end user. We sell SLA's to our Accounts however it is the actual end user who is using this SLA and the SLA should be in the name of the end user. In the Contract area, there is no ability that I can see, to add fields for the contract to include email addresses and such. ADAudit Plus server will not start
We ran into a disk space issue on the drive where ADAuditPlus is storing its log files. We have increased the space for the logs, but are now unable to get the ADAuditPlus service to start. There is a chance that the service issue is completely unrelated to the disk space, but they did happen at the same time. WMI Access
Hello, After getting the SNMP working, I am now struggling with getting WMI working. This is monitoring servers that are not part of a domain. I have installed Opmanager on one of these servers, and it can communicate fine with itself; ie WMI and SNMP all good. However when trying to connect to another server, the SNMP is working, however the WMI just keeps failing with Access Denied messages. Worklog improvements
Just an idea for the worklog function... Would it be possible to have a button that starts a worklog and a timer on it? The technician clicks "I'm working on this" (or whatever) and the timer starts, (the job changes status to "In Progress"?) and a new worklog is created with the start time. On finishing, the technician clicks "I've finished" and gets asked for what work they did. The worklog is then finalised, with the start time, the elapsed time and the finished time.
Firewall analyzer wont receive logs
I am running Firewall Analyzer 7 on a Windows 2008 R2 Standard box. keep getting an error "No Firewall currently exporting logs to Firewall Analyzer" The firewall config # logging enable logging trap debugging logging device-id string fwlacc0z01_new logging host inside [Firewall Analyzer IP] If I run wireshark on the windows box I can see all the logs, but not in firewall analyzer. I have disabled the manage engine dir for virus scanning, no logs I even disabled the anti-virus completely, no logs.

Running OpUtils and SNMP monitoring software on same server
I have problem with running SNMP monitoring software (Mikrotik TheDude) and OpUtils. This cause problem with SNMP queries from one IP address. How I can setup source IP address for SNMP queries for OpUtils? Example: I have 2 IP addresses: 10.10.10.1 and 10.10.20.1 on the server. Can I set IP address 10.10.20.1 for OpUtils? I received error: User name cannot contain invalid characters. Our AD user names contains a dot as a separator. Why is dot "invalid character" in Oputils ?
