Our company purchased OpManager a few years ago (maybe v3?) and stopped using it after a year due to excessive issues. We ended up going to HP SiteScope, which, with its latest versions, gone to crap and is no longer good enough for us. The latest OpManager sure seems to have a lot of improvements over the old one, and many of the issues we used to have are no longer there, but unfortunately a few more have creeped up. Ophaned/legacy user report
I'm hoping someone can nudge me in the right direction. Is there a way via the gui or db to track down users who do not have direct access to a shared resource/group, or are not a member of a user group? We've got 1000 users in the db already (expect it to reach 2000) and I'm nearly certain there are a good number who've been imported in error. All it takes is an accidental '*' in our ldap import string and a couple hundred extra users appear in the user list. Likewise is there a way to track down
User Membership Report?
I'm hoping someone can nudge me in the right direction for a user group membership to resource group mapping report Not interested in what particular resources they can touch, just who is in what user group and what resource groups those user groups are mapped against. So far we have 40 resource group and I expect it'll grow to about 100, so looking for a simple top level report. The intent of report is to share with the team leads so at a group level they can easily check that membership lists

Issues applying hotfix 70136
Hi I am currently trying to update from build 70126 as I have found it really buggy. The latest hotfix available on the manage engine does not seem to work. I keep getting an error saying the "ppm file that you have specified is not compatible with this product." Has anyone else had this issue or is there a resolution for this issue. Thanks

Hi, I think I already have proposed this idea before but cannot find it anymore. 1) It would be useful if we could have a mouseover option for the notes like there is for the request. So quickly see in the mousehover some information about the latest note(s). 2) Changing the printWO form for the request when opening them from the account information. The print form shows less information and attachments cannot be opened from them. Why not just link to the complete request information. Now we open

Helpdesk ticket from Contract reminder
Is there a way to raise a ticket when a contract is due rather than just send an email reminder? A ticket is a perminent reminder until it is completed, an email can be forgotten. I can forward the email to the helpdesk, would be nice if it was an automated procedure though.
Templates for Problems
Hi all, it would be absolutly great if there would be a possibility to you the request templates also for problems. That would help a lot because the interface would look similar and you can sort you fields in the same way as you can in the requests/incidents. For our technicans it would make all clearly arrange for them. And I don't think it would be that much work to integrate it because this feature is also useable for requests and changes. SNMP v3 problem in MibBrowser
I just downloaded and installed the free MibBrowser tool. I want to query a host that only recognizes authenticated SNMP v3 requests. I went to MibBorwser "Settings" -> v3 and then add a user to its list. I entered my SNMP v3 hostIP, userid "xyz" and pass phrases. I clicked apply and after a short wait, it fails with a "Discovery failed for user xyz". I traced the SNMP traffic with WireShark. The actual SNMP packet had the userName "initial" not "xyz". SMPT external
Hi I want to set SMPT settings to an external server. Example i want to be able to use smtp.gmail.com We want to do this for priority alarms, so that a third party can be notified. This monitoring will be through a second link, so will have access to internet if our main service goes down. We do not want to use our exchange server, as this defeats the purpose (if our main link is down) there is no way of communicating to the server. this second link is seperate to network for security reasons.
Folder Monitor in OpManager
I have several network appliances that I have setup to dump a backup file of their config to a server every night. Is there a way to use the Folder monitor in OpManager to check to see if the files are coming in every day? What I want is OpManager to look at the folder, see if a file was saved there in the past day. Is that possible?

PDF Report Maxes Out at 85 Pages
Today two of my reports that I received via email stopped reporting after 85 pages. The reports are sent as a PDF and did not contain all of the event logs. For instance it would display the logs from 1/18/2011 between 10am and 11:59pm, but the reports from midnight to 10am were missing, since the report stopped after 85 pages. Is there a way to change this? Our reports do not hit this size often but when it does I have to go back to our old way of viewing events to catch the events that were missed.

Highlight Mandatory Fields on Request Details
When opening a work order, it would be great if fields that are mandatory for closing could be highlighted if missing. The warning that you attempted to close a work order without a mandatory field completed comes up too late and poorly placed in the process, that most techs fail to realize that they haven't closed their request. I have a bunch of remote subnets with clients that are not on a domain so I would like to give desktop central an IP range to scan. Swipe data
It should be possible to swipe data. Users are getting more and more into the software, and get good ideas, and sees things from different view angles as soon as they get familiar with the product. Often it sadly is that there is a lot of work in the system, and a lot of data has already been inputted in different cases. Opmanager URL Monitors dont show up in dashboard
I have added URL monitors via the Admin section of Opmanager My dashboard shows the number of monitors I added via the admin section, but when I click on URL monitors the view indicated there are no monitors in the database. Do the URL monitors in the Maps view have to be URL monitors set up i nthe server profiles or is there a way to put the URL monitors I configured in the Admin section in view? Wrong bandwidth shown in the historical gpaph
Hi, I'm monitoring a 1.54M link using Opmanager. When I generate a graph for this interface (in realtime) it generates a accurate graph. But if I generate the same report for a custom period, it gives wrong values in the Y axis. For an example I'm getting 17.5Mbps of traffic in the 1.5Mbps link. Please refer the attachment. Thank you.
