Disk Utilization - Windows 2008
Hi. When OpManager raice an alarm for a Virtual Windows 2008 server I often increase the disk size for the server. But OpManager does not see that the disk has been increased. Even if I rediscover the server, remove the disk utilization monitor and add it again, it still have an alarm on the utilization. Only removing the server in OpManager and add it again helps. Running both SNMP and WMI. Any other solution to that? Thanks Torsten

SNMP : The Monitor did not respond to the test request
Hello, I want to monitor a Eaton ups (Evolution S 3000) on OPManager but I receive an error: When I try to run a test from a performance monitor, I receive a popup with a error message (The Monitor did not respond to the test request). When I try to run the same test (same OID and same device) with the "Mib Browser", I receive a correct value. Can you help me to fix this issue? Regards, PYM

We typically do not utilize the FTP process. I need to see if I can find a way to monitor the process for when it gets turned ON as it should be in an OFF status. Any help is much appreciated.

I get "Cannot add device. This free edition of OpManager does not support adding more than 10 devices". I have only 7 devices in my list... I have deleted a device too, because there is a device I want too try out, but I still get the same error-code. Are there still deleted devices in some kind of config-file so the program think it is 10? I would need some help here, please .....

Hi, We use SD+ v8017 and we configured our Service Catalog and are testing it. When we use extra Resources in a service containing different questions, there is no possibility to set these fields as mandatory. Is this possible in next versions or in the new release of 8.1? Also when the user doesn't fill in all extra resourcefields and the approval is done, the status of the approval is reset to pending when a technician fills in the empty fields. Programs deleted from DesktopCentral store
I am in the process of clearing out old applications. I deleted them from Desktop Central but when I look at the store, they are still there. Is this behavior by design? To give you an example: I deleted the itunes application that resides in swrepository\swuploads\... I then went into the swuploads (store) directory and see 300271-iTunesSetup 300271-iTunesSetup_10.5.1.42 I can see the same for java, flash and acrobat. Thanks Charles

Hello, Does anyone know if/whether the agent used by desktop central is the same/compatible with the agent used by service desk plus? I have some agents and asset data in SD+ already, and I'd like to add desktop central into this (specifically for patch management) but I don't want to redeploy the agents or have to regenerate all of the asset data already configured in SD+.

Dell Warranty status not updating correctly
Hi, I am currently running DC8 ans while most of the warranty details have been scanned correctly, there are some which are currently showing as expired even though they have been purchased this tear. When I look at the machine info it shows the correct purchase date but the expiry date is the same date. When I then perform a scan for the information it used to bring up a dialog box saying the details supplied were incorrect and when I clicked on the tag link it took me to the Dell warranty page

Shutdown Computers tool
Hi, I tried to use this software tool to replace our current limited solution, however during testing I couldn't get the app to find the computer. The app wants me to enter a domain address, but there is no such environment here, only workgroups and even putting the work group name didn't let the software find the computer. Is there anyway to use his tool to shut down computers that aren't on domains? Thanks

Reclassifying products issue
Hi, I'm having an issue reclassifying some of our servers. When we first installed Service Desk we imported Servers from a CSV file and classified them as non IT Assets with a Product Type: Servers Imported, we did this because we lacked the node licenses to properly import the servers under the IT Assets server. Since then I've purchased more nodes and I'm trying to change the non IT Assets Servers Imported into IT Assets servers. I've had success with most Product Names by changing the Product

LDAP imports to bring over 'display name' not just the userid
Is it possible when importing users with ldap that it brings over the 'display name' as well as the userid? Sorting Resources on Copy Accounts
When copying an account from one resource to another, the Copy Accounts box pops up and the resources are listed but in no order in which I can make sense of. Is there a way to sort these devices as to easily find the one you are looking for? We have close to 1,000 resources and copying accounts can be time consuming.

I tried to upgrade SCP on my test server, but something went wrong. Then every time I try to install SCP, the installer asked if I want to remove SCP and all it's components. Eventually I managed to install SCP 7801, but now it does not start at all. Have a field toggle a task request
I would like to be able to see a feature where a particular field can toggle a task request. For instance, when creating a new user account we have multiple accounts that the manager needs to be able to select from. I would like to have it be setup so that if they select the field "Email Account" and select "Yes" that it would create a Task to create an email account or if the select "No" it will not do anything. Do you think this is something that could be incorperated in? Thanks, William
