Hello there, i'm trying to send SNMP Trap from OpManager to a MOM Server with trap receiver capabilities; all work fine but when I try to put in the $displayName variable and I test the function the The "Please wait" dialog box run perpetual. Issues with Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 services - false positive alerts?
We've noticed an influx of false positives for Symanetec Endpoint Protection (EPP) 12.1 on our servers recently. Basically, it just reads that EPP is down, along with a couple of EPP services. I log in to the server in question and EPP is in fact up, and the services are running. We recently upgraded EPP to 12.1 and did not have this issue with version 11. Has anyone else experienced this when trying to monitor Symantec EPP 12.1 services? Thanks

Unregistered locked account
I'm in the midst of rolling AD SS out and as I remove the pw block from users ad accounts, many are being in effect locked immediately before able to register with AD SS. As I have it configured now, when they attempt to sign in the first time, they get a password has expired error, contact your sys admin. Most users aren't on this domain, so they can't ctrl alt delete and change it that way either. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere to allow them to register and unlock simultaneously?
User must close call once resolved?
I've been asked to research various helpdesk solutions and have installed a trial version of ManageEngine. One of the requirements from management is the user must close their own call once resolved by a tech. This is to ensure they are happy with the resolution. Does ManageEngine do this and if yes where in the config is this specified? Thanks,

[Render Failed] Error on Requests Page on Data Restore
On seeing a 7909 error on upgrade to 7914 - I decided to get things checked. I did a backup of my SC+ 7909 and tried to restore it to a different machine - everything worked except the requests list page shows up as [Render Failed] [Render Failed] [Render Failed] instead of ID, Subject, Account Name ... etc for all rows. All other sections work - Contracts, Solutions even the Reports do work. The only way I could fix this was by getting a standalone Database Backup restored & replacing the DC+ Restored

Is it possible to set the permissions for the Asset module to view only and not allowed to edit?
Additional fields problem
Has anyone had a problem with the incorrect default value showing for an additional field when creating via a template? I have a field which contains drop downs of 0,1 and 2. It always defaults on 0 rather than "select": When I check the configuration under admin > Incident - Additional Fields, 0 is not selected as the default selection: I have restarted the service a few times and this has not helped. Hi, SDP 8122. Trying to create request for requester with name embedding slash or simple quote gives error : "You cannot create a request for this user. The user belongs to a site for which you do not have access." The same user but without a slash or simple quote has no error. So "john doe" is ok but not "john d'oe". Is it a bug or some a limitation ? jeff

Import "Device notes" by xls/csv file
I would like to update all my device notes information, but we do have over 500 devices that it is not effective to input them one by one. Is there any way to import those information to all devices in one shot, e.g. by a xls files? FYI, I am using OPM build 9410.

Would love a feature where if a CSR selects a contact or account while opening a new request, that a pop is displayed with an alert message that can be set by a supervisor or lead. According to the User Guide (page 132) I am to: 1. Mouse-over Dashboards tab and select the Dashboard which you want to set as the default dashboard. 2. Leftover Configuration and DB Restore Issues
Hi there, have been having some issues with db restores, migration etc for the last week so have reinstalled on a new 2008 R2 machine but now i've got some further issues. The original desktopcentral server "died", as in the service was unable to start up after a database move to MSSQL Express. Due to this, i wasn't able to uninstall the agents off all the clients. Hi, When I monitor MS SQL Service in new monitor in app manager, I receive this message. but when I arrive in monitor details, MS SQL service is DOWN Host Name changes and MS SQL service is DOWN but server with the same IP (10.255.137.4) is Up. what should I do? please help me. Thanks Mary

Option to set an expiry date when receiving item in PO
Hi guys, it would be nice to have the option to set an expiry date for the Software License or Asset in the Purchase Module when we receive items. I currently have to go in every asset to set the expiry date. Incident and Service Templates not working after Update to 8125!
After updating the incident templates are no longer accessible: javax.servlet.ServletException: java.sql.SQLException: Cannot resolve the collation conflict between "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS" and "Latin1_General_CI_AS" in the equal to operation. We also get an error when trying to change service templates: FAILURE :Exception while trying to get the Incident Template details. Seems to be a collation problem of the database. I can't use the CLI because of security problem. Using mib browser tool, I have tested the CPU/MEM/Disk Utilization. Switch Port Manager -> IF Speed and Vlan ID WRONG VALUES.
I use OpUtils v.6.0. I am testing this tool, but i have a problem with switch port manager. When i go to a switch the column Vlan ID and IF Speed have wrong values for many interfaces. My switches are Huawei and snmp is configured for all versions. OpUtils is installed on CentOS 6.3 and have the last built no. 60048 for OpUtils please let me know anything, Regards, Miguel Esnard

Hi all, I have 2 questions about ELA 8020: 1. When I generate a report, can I save the report in the file system and send a notification mail WITHOUT the attached report? In case of positive answer: can I insert in the mail a specified text? 2. When I create a new custom report and the related mail to notify, I can select "Summary and details" or "Only Summary" option. Backplane Utilization cannot be monitored on Cisco 2950
Back plane utilization on Cisco 2950 and 2960 switches need to be monitored and initially Backplane utilization of both models cannot be monitored. After upload CISCO-STACK-MIB, only Cisco 2960 can be monitored the Backplane utilization and still Cisco 2950 cannot be monitored. Please help.
Not all URL's visited are showing on URL report
I am evaluating the firewall analyzer and in testing noticed that not all URL's are showing for a user in the URL report. I wonder if this has something to do with HTTPS traffic?
