MySQL and JasperServer
Hi, We have been using JasperServer for some time now to produce more complicated reports and we recently started looking at Ad-Hoc reporting to allow our users drag and drop ability with the data and allow them to create custom dashboards. Recently we moved to the latest version on Jasper and this broke Ad-Hoc reporting for Support Center. Mainly down to version of MySQL that is running. Are there any plans to upgrade as Oracle have EoL'd this a while ago. Thanks John
Requests randomly deleted
Hello, We have had a few requests recently being randomly deleted when technicians are working on them. Once technician was writing a reply and clicked 'Send' on to be told that the request had been successfully deleted. After checking the logs it does state that the technician deleted the call but he had not. There have also been a number of other occurrences of this with technicians completing other things. We have not been able to replicate this and have no system logs from when this

SDP Email Commands don't filter body
Using the email commands @@SDP@@, @@Operation=AddRequest@@, etc... The @@SDP@@ is removed from the Subject, but all the commands in the message description stay. This is really ugly in the incident description. The commands are parsed fine. I just wish they would be stripped from the description like the subject is.
Email template for Announcements
I would like to start using the Announcement feature to send/create announcements letting our users know when a change is being implemented. Currently our process is to send an email to a distribution group letting them know that a change is about to start, and then send another email when the change has been completed. We currently do this using email but I would like to move away from that and just use ManageEngine as all the information is there already and I don't want to have to copy and paste
Close Problem and Resolve Associated Incidents
Hi Is it possible to setup problem management to resolve associated incidents rather than closing? We allow the requesters to close a resolved incident or autoclose after 7 days so do not want the Problem management to close the associated incident/s. Oputils Rogue Detection problems
Dear Oputils, I really thought i was going crazy. For a number of weeks now the rogue detection has been showing several mac addresses when devices connect to our network. But this hasnt always been displaying the switch port... or its ip address ... or both in some cases. I thought - ok i probably have some routers or switches that i havent populated yet. I have been through our network with a fine tooth comb and every router, switch has been added. I cant see how adding a printer to the router
Reverse Lookup Failed in IPAM
The majority of the addresses have no DNS information and are "not in AD". I;m not sure why this is the case when I've added the DNS servers under General Settings tab and added the AD Domain information under the Active Dorectory tab. Am I missing something?
Exchange 2010 virtual machine not recognizied by Opmanager
I have created Exchange 2010 virtual servers on our VMware environment. They are split up into CAS and DB servers. However, Opmanager does not recognize any of them as Exchange, so the monitors are not showing up. When I try to add Exchange Monitors from the performance tab, I receive an error "800706ba - The RPC server is unavailable." I checked the services and both RPC and WMI are running. I'm running Windows 2008 R2, and Exchange 2010 SP3. They are configured with load balancing and DAG's.
DesktopCentral patch reports
Hi All, please point me in the right direction if i am missing anything but the reporting on patch management seems very limited. am i able to report on a select number of machines? if i wanted to show only servers that are missing updates. who do i run a report that shows which patches were successfully deployed to 1 machine in particular? will i have to request these reports everytime? thanks Russ

Email command templates not Working.
I'm trying to Create new tickets using the email command function. It actually creates the ticket and populates the Template field properly. The problem is that it doesn't create any of the tasks associated with the template. BUG: IP Address rolls back on device that has had its IP Changed when the device goes offline.
If you change a monitored devices IP Address, then the device goes down due to a network outage hours, days, weeks or months later, the device rolls back to it's original discovered IP Address. This bug has been in effect since version 9.
Rename "admin" username for Desktop Central
Hi, I would like to know if we can rename the "admin" username in Desktop Central to someting else. I know from the application it can't be done, only the password, but in the db (MS SQL) , if i rename it, will it cause any issue ? If it's possible, where i can change it ? Thanks
LAN vs. Roaming Agent Usage
I am not seeing significant differences in how the LAN vs. Roaming Agents operate. I have laptop users that leave the LAN, but still appear to be contacted, scanned and patched. Other than identifying a Remote Office that is associated with an IP range so the client will contact the correct distribution server, is there a difference? SDP stop mail fetching when ServiceDesk email receives Kaspersky Report
Hi, We get daily Kaspersky Anti-Virus Reports sent to our ServiceDesk email at 9am. SDP fetches email from this ServiceDesk email address. The Kaspersky Reports do not have a "sent from" email address. Ever since upgrading SDP to build 8210, the Mail Fetching constantly stops when we receive an email from Kaspersky. This is presumably because there is no "sent from" email address however this has never been a problem in the last builds. The temporary solution is to delete the Kaspersky email

Hi I was hoping someone can help me. Just tried to enable Force Enrolment and I get this message Configurations Updated Successfully! Warning: Failed to copy the logon script, ADSelfService_Enroll.hta to the scripts folder under SYSVOL share of DC. Please add the file manually. Ive copied ADSelfService_Enroll.hta to C:\Windows\SYSVOL\sysvol\domain.co.uk\scripts now But im just wondering. Need to apply an interface template only to gigabit interfaces
I need to change all my existing gigabit interface thresholds from 30% utilization to 3%. I used the "Interface Templates" to create a new Ethernet template, but when I click "Select Interfaces to apply", it requires me to manually select each interface. The list does not show the interface speed, but I need to leave any 10/100 interfaces at 30%. Basically, how can I apply my interface template to only gigabit interfaces on a device that has a mix of 10/100/1000?

OPManager not detecting sms gateway
Hi all, My setup consists in a Windows Server 2012, Opmanager, and an SMS Gateway whose brand is Sierra Wireless Fastrack Xtend FXT009. I can test the sms gateway device correctly, using a putty session, via serial cable. However, when I go to Opmanager console, and try to add the com1 device, it says: "Modem is not connected properly. Check your settings!" There's nothing wrong with the device, because I can use it correctly. It as been tested correctly. Is there any other setting I must edit

Afternoon, I am using the Service desk application and it gets the users from AD, i was using the builtin administrator account and after it imported the domain admin account i can no longer logon as the administrator and have lost all the admin features, is there an easy way to either remove the domain admin account from the database or promote it to a tech? or do i need to uninstall and reinstall?

Cannot run program MSRA
Recently I have been encountering the following error when I try to use remote assistance on a users PC. Cannot run program "msra.exe": CreateProcess error=740, The requested operation requires elevation I was previously able to do this and I can still do this outside of ServiceDesk by typing in msra.exe /offerra <devicename> in to the command line but I am unable to do it within ServiceDesk. I am currently running 8125 and am an administrator within ServiceDesk and also a local admin on my workstation.

Deleting assets associated to a PO
I created a PO for IBM Webserver software. IBM licences this software with a 'unit' cost that is based on the processor model, number of cores, number of processors. So I am licensing 6 servers, 140 units each, for a total of 840 units. I entered 840 quantity in the PO, at the per unit cost. Then when I received the items, it created 840 individual licenses in my software inventory. Now I cannot delete either the PO or the assets, as they are associated with each other. How can I unravel this mess

Hello, I've recognized an issue with Read-Only users. At a device snapshot a Read-Only user has the abbility to "Rediscover now" the device (under "Actions" menu). If he does, all device details are reset to default (vendor, category, type, monitoring, ...). I think a Read-Only user should not be able to reset these settings. Best regards Philip

Notification Rule exceptions
Hi All, I was trying to find a way to set an exception rule for the Contact notification. What we want to exclude is one particular email address that automatically mails (from our website form) to support center. SCP then tries to send the acknowledgement notification, BUT this account CANNOT receive emails, this results in the bounce back being sent back to SCP. We want the normal notification rule to work for every other email address except this one. Anyone know how we can exclude this

Software Manufacturers
Hello Some questions about manufacturer list, how can I delete the manufacturers that don't have software associated? I am using the latest version of SDP, and I am having a problem with "Manufacturers" (mandatory field). These are recognized when a workstation is scanned and automatically added to the database. But it turns out that software manufacturers not always use a standard name, so you will end up with, If I change/edit the name of the manufacturer from the scanned software information
OpManager script for Ubuntu
I would like to create a script monitor that checks for the existence of /var/run/reboot-required. If the file exists, the monitor should be in alarm. If it does not exist, the monitor should be in the cleared state. I assume this would be a simple script. How do I do it?
Mail Server Settings as Microsoft Office365 Server
Hi Team, I am using Firewall Analyzer and Netflow Analyzer where I set some alerts to send as email. It was working fine when I am using the Microsoft Exchange Server Locally, but few weeks back we moved to Microsoft Office365 Server. So I changed the Outgoing Mail Server Settings in Firewall Analyzer and Netflow Analyzer as Office365 Outgoing Server (smtp.office365.com and port 587) with TLS encryption but I am getting error and mails are not flowing outside.
