Manually restart windows service remotely
Hi All, Brief description of my problem: I have a third party application installed on a remote client network. This application stops responding sometimes, to fix it i need to restart a windows service. Please note that the application is down here and the service will still be in "Running" status. Currently, there are options in OpManager to restart the service or server as an action when the service stops responding. So can i manually restart windows service? Or can OpManager restart window service
Request merge notification
Is it possible in anyway that when two request are merged, that the requester and the assigned techincian receives a notification? We came across this problem when an admin merged two request. But the technician wasn't aware of a change in the request. therefore was still waiting on feedback from the requester Thanks Alex
UCS devices
Hi, i install Opmanager and add my devices. now opmanager show "Your current license does not allow to monitor UCS devices.You can either remove the UCS devices you do not want to monitor here, or procure a new license.Remaining devices will be deleted" but i have no any UCS device! when i login , it show a page with License Activation Details title, that allow remove UCS device, but no device is available!!!. what is the problem?

Verify Password Unreliable
The verify password function is proving to be incredibly un reliable. It works one minute and then it doesn't work. It will work for some account in a resource and not for others. This is becoming quite frustrating. I'm trying to document how our password admins should be adding resources, testing and resetting passwords and one minute it is fine and everything works then randomly it stops. For example I added a windows resource and the local administrator account and force a password reset
Request Approvals
I have the case when certain requests require approvals. I don't want to leave it to the technician to ask for the approvals instead for certain requests categories, I want the initiator of the request to be prompted to get approvals or at least the request get automatically transfered to the requestor superior. Once approved, the technician can see the request. Is that possible and how? Thanks Ramzi
Change Status notifications

Java eating up memory
We have recently updated to the latest version of manage engine service desk plus and not anytime it is running the java takes up all the memory and we can't even log into the server. Are there java settings that need to be done?
Tabular report
Hi, i need to produce a report in tabular format of alarms in a period for a group or for single monitor. Similar to list of alarm at the bottom of the page "Alarm history" of a monitor. With date/time and message, very simple. I search between the reports without success. And i must use copy and paste of alarm history but is a big job every time. Thanks in advance.

Single Sign On from Service Desk Plus to AD Manager Plus?
Is it possible to retain the logged-in session from Service Desk Plus when using the "Jump To" feature to connect to AD Manager Plus? This would be useful as the same technician login accounts from our Service Desk Plus environment are going to be used in the AD Manager Plus environment. Also is it possible to change the default login domain from AD Manager Plus to instead login to our Active Directory domain? Thanks for any tips! Regards Ben

Java eating up memory
We are running the latest version of java and the latest version of manage engine service desk plus Build 9.1 version 9106 The java memory usage just continues to grow. However if I shutdown the service desk it completely goes away.

Can I Prevent requestors from selecting Assets from a site that they do not belong to?
The Asset selector on an Incident Template allows the requestors to view and select an Asset from any Sites. (this is part of the 'Requestors' details ). This means, a requestor associated with the London site, is able to see (and select) all the assets in Service Desk plus – including assets assigned to a different site (e.g. Tokyo). The form defaults to my requestors site (eg London) - but I don't appear to be able to hide other sites - or even hide the asset selector? Is there a way to prevent
MSSQL Tuning for Netflow / Opmanager
Hi, Is there any sort of document or guide on configuring and tuning MSSQL for use as NFA / Opmanager Database? Archiving and Restore - Effect on DB
I archive out all data after 7 days. This gets written to .csv file locally. When I wish to report on a period longer than the last 7 days I have to restore archives (which is a pain hence my request for a data warehouse for archiving). My question though is how does this affect the DB? Are the following true: When the daily arching task runs at 02:00, is all data older than 7 days removed from the DB and placed in .csv files? If so, when i do a restore and this data is added back into the DB, how
Reports based on groups filters to handle nested group membership
Reports that allow the use of group filters will only list objects that are explicitly listed in the group and cannot handle nested groups. this makes this type of filter limited in any mid to large sized environment where nested group would be used. Linux resource discovery...
I'm just starting to work with PMP, but I'm scratching my head over this: PMP uses TELNET as the remote connection mode to discover the Linux/Unix type of devices.We have hundreds of Linux workstations and servers, but not ONE of them is running a telnet server or allowing access on port 23. I can't imagine that any security conscious sysadmin anywhere *would* allow telnet access to servers. so how exactly is this discovery supposed to work? Unless I'm missing something, it seems like this "discovery"
PMP - Google Authenticator reset function
Hi, I an trying PMP with Google Authenticator. It is very nice and easy to use for admin and users. Great job! On login page there is a link "Have trouble using Google Authenticator ?" which let user to reset the Google Authenticator in case user lost a phone. However, it is a security hole for hackers which already stolen user's password if user's email is not two-step protected. Is there a way to let the super admin to handle the reset manually? If not, can I simply disable the link, just re-enable
Managing both Windows local admin accounts and SQL accounts in the same resource
I'm wondering if there is a way of placing a windows account and an SQL account in the same resource. It looks like I need to create two resources, e.g. once called "MyServerName Windows Accounts" of resource type Windows with an account called administrator and then a second resource "MyServerName SQL Accounts" of type MS SQL Server with the SQL account in. It would be nice if I could have a single resource and add the two different account types to the resource. Is this possible? Does anyone
How to work a ticket? Notes and comments and replies, Oh my.
Howdy, Every Help Desk software I used basically stored any notes, comments, replies, etc in chronological order so you could see everything that was going on with a ticket in the initial view. SDP doesn't seem to do that and I'm not sure how to properly use the system. If a ticket comes in, I may want to type in some notes that I'm working on the ticket and what my next steps are. At some point I will need to send notes back to the user for more information or to have them try something again.

Last polled value of a performance monitor "No data available"
Hi, i am new using opmanager, i'm trying to monitor a few devices using SNMP. The problem is, when in the dashboard i add the last polled value of a performance monitor widget sometimes it displays the correct value, however most of the time shows "No data available". I would appreciate if someone can help me.
Couchbase NoSQL support

Java Process is using about 4GB of RAM, 65% of CPU and crashing within minutes.
I have ADmanager Plus installed and the Java process keeps on crashi ng the server. ADManager support has been "looking" into the issue for about 2 weeks with no solution. We'd really like to use this software to run reports for our 1.1 million user AD, but doesn't seem like this software is working.
Disk monitoring based on % free and size
Hi, We have over 300 windows servers (each with multiple disks) and would like to set notification thresholds based of the percentage of free disk space available (say 10%). If the disk is large (2TB) then the percentage needs to be adjusted to 5%. How can this be achieved in OpManager? Thanks John

XenServer 6.5 and Opmanager
Has anyone had any luck monitoring XenServer 6.5? I've tried setting it up and I'm not having much luck. It is being discovered as vendor type: net-snmp and the only data it is pulling is the system description. It's not reporting Memory, CPU and etc.

Report with Dates but not Hourly TimeStamps
Hi, I'm looking to create reports with the date stamps, but no timestamps, or to at least hide the timestamps in the reports. Putting them in a separate column would work as well.
