Can anyone help me if there is a "host" provider that is already supplying the infrastruture to support the products of the AdventNet over the Internet ? I would like to use the applications, but without a proper "hosting" the attempt to give a "good service" can be turned back on me if the availability of the service is not good enough...
Monitoring devices like Bluecoat Proxy and Cisco SSL Module
I need to monitor system resources for below devices :- Cisco SSL Module Cisco FWSM module (Firewall Services Module) Bluecoat proxy I was able to query these devices and retrieve the snmp oid. However i dont get any statistics like CPU usage or Memory usage or Disk usage. Please refer the attachment you can find data not available Can someone please help me ?

Hello, How can I remove an alert profile from several devices at once? I have an alert profile linked to 400 access points that I want to remove and I don't think it is a fun task to go into every device snapshot and remove it. Thank you Ramzi
snmp traps
Hi, Most of the bugs I reported ages ago did not seem to be fixed in the service pack. 1- I reported way back that Opmanager does not recognize a trap if the source IP is a vlan interface IP other than the device IP configured in Opmanager. 2- when I rediscover a device the display name is reverted back to it's DNS name. That's not a problem but can I at least trim the domain suffix and just keep the hostname. What we realy need is a service pack that fixes all bugs in version 6 and then then worry

Hi, We have been using OpManager for a while, but we have problems to get ucdavis MIB values from a Linux box (net-snmp installed). For example, in MIB Browser we use .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.3.2 to get 5 min Load Average but the result is: Request failed or timed out. need information about SSH future with HP-UX
I am evaluating OpManager for use in systems that we provide to Energy providers. As such, they must adhere to a lot of goverment NERC/FERC regulations for security. They will be unable to use a product that needs the userid/password kept in a file or database. The systems we setup use exchanged ssh key pairs to do authentication, will OpManager be supporting this?

Hi All I can't able to install OpManager 6 for linux in SUSE 9 ENT Server.Though the installation was successful.But when i try to start OpManager Server its giving and error unable to start mysql deamon.and then it terminates. switch port mapper
Hi there, I've noticed that in the Switch Port Mapper, I have two switches that can both see a host called "eastnor" - one switch displays the IP address of the host and the other switch does not (see images). Both switches are Ciscos, the one that isn't showing the IP address of the host is a 3550 and the one that is showing the IP address of it, is a 2950. StillSecure's Strata Guard IPS/IDS snmp
Is it possible for OpManager to receive SNMP traps from IPS/IDS' that does not allow polling, and relies on SNMP monitor (OpManager) to only listen for the snmp packets? It seems that StillSecure's Strata Guard will only direct SNMP traps towards OpManager, but will not allow OpManager to poll Strata Guard. I know that by adding a device in OpManager causes SNMP polling towards the network device, but Strata Guard totally ignores them. The implication is that OpManager cannot see the Strata Guard

HI We are trying to restore opmanager on new machine when moving from free version to 30 trial. Database Maintenance - Keeping Data forever!
Why is it not possible to keep detailed stats for longer than 15 days and hourly stats for longer than 90 days? I'd like to keep ALL data indefinetely. Why isn't this an option?
CPU/Memory/Disk Utilization
Hi friends, I've just installed the free version on a Windows 2003 server and can't get the CPU/Memory/Disk Utilization monitors to work on the same machine. I suspect that SNMP is not configured properly on my server, because I don't see a little blue star. not able to see Resource monitors for Router (With Snapshots
I have added Resource monitors for Router but it is not showing any data. But all the details work well in "solarwinds" and it shows all the "CPU Utilization" and "Memory Utilization" monitor that means my MIB is correct. Server with Dynamic IP address
I am trying to monitor a server that unfortunatley has a dynamic IP address. It appears that when I add the server it resolves the name and ONLY uses the IP address. When the address changes, I loose the server. Any way to have it use Name Based?
OP Manager
I just want to ask: if you havee 5 notification profiles on OP Manager, is there a way to have 1 of the notification profile be disabled for a certain time, but the other 4 profiles still continue to give alerts 24hours ? jjcubillan@gmail.com
Device Response Time Questions
hi, if I open up a device it comes up with the today's availability, device response time and today's packet loss amongst other stuff. I want to know what protocol the device response time is being measured on (icmp?) and if it is icmp can the packet size be controlled. There also doesn't seem to be any report based on this counter - there are response time by service reports and response time by service also appears on the home tab but no response time by icmp(?) in report form of on the home tab.
VBScript Interaction With Website
I'm trying to write a VBScript that can talk to opmanager and get the stats of specific servers/devices/etc by a quick call. I've wrote one that occasionally works and can very rarely pull the appropriate data from the snapshot page, but its obviously having issues loggin in. As I'm no web interaction guru with vbscript and have no idea how to deal with ".do" files, is there any way ya'll can assist in getting this script working? We have just upgraded to OpManager 6 from 5.6 in the hope that the countless bugs might be resolved. I was horrified to find that MapMaker seems to have lost all its device management capabilities. It appears that it is no longer possible to add a device there, you must first do this in the web client. The map maker still has the fault that it says there is a link between devices when none is shown, and still shows strange bits of links in the top left of the window when the business view is seen

My pre opmanger 6.0 unit icon's on webinterface looks like old times images, my new created unit dont look like the old ones they have only a green spot not a router image what is wrong ? on the mapmaker the look OK.
SMS Server issue
Hi, I have a problem with OP Manager SMS server. I have installed service pack 1 to OP manager 6.0 I have a Wavecom m1306b GSM modem connected to server. I have tried to send a SMS with a local application and it works. I am running OP Manager in a Windows 2003 Server. When I try to configure the SMS server in /Admin/SMS Server Settings/, I obtain the screen attached in SMS_server.jpg file. Thanks.
Query regarding desktop discovery in OpManager
Hi, The desktops in my network get discovered very well. But the problem is some desktops show an IP address under the device details instead of host names, whereas the remaining have their host names mentioned under device details. Monitoring System Resources of 3COM Switches
Does anybody know the correct OID (Object Identifier) of 3COM's switches? We would like to monitor the following parameters: - CPU Utilization - Memory Utilization We are trying to monitor system resource as we do with Cisco equipaments (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58 - avgBusy5). We have already downloaded many 3COM MIBs (1.3.6.1.4.1.43 - 3COM Enterprise MIBs) but could not identify the MIB variables to monitor the health of the device, just the traffic of the interfaces.

Every night at 3:00 we reboot some of our windows servers. i found in the alarms an attenttion a few minutes later of: Device Active and Responding But hours later another warning gives: ColdStart : CTX03.1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.2 Hardware: x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 7 AT/AT COMPATIBLE - Software: Windows 2000 Version 5.0 (Build 2195 Multiprocessor Free) The server is not rebooting on that time and there is nothing wrong on that given time. Issue with scheduled reports
Hi all, I have some scheduled reports for my devices, and I have errors in the data contained in these reports. For example, in one of the routers I managed, the report for 30 days availability gave 99% and the dynamic availability report from the router snapshot gives the real data, 75%.
