In OP6 there were Vendor Specific Monitors, in OP7 not
In Opmanager 6 there were Vendor Specific Monitors like Compaq Server Temp. In OP7 there is nothing. When i try to add a new monitor i need the right MIB file. What can i do to use the old option from 6 in 7. Thanks in advance Beheer_KA
OpManager 7 - BV images folder not updating
We have a plasma screen on which we display vital networking gear and servers in our NOC. We followed the guide for creating the HTML page as described by a tutorial on the AdventNet Site. What we have found is that the images used for this static HTML page are not updated automatically and the business views (BV) need to be clicked manually before they are updated. Basically this defeats the purpose of having our NOC display. Does anyone have a similiar situation and/or a solution. Below is a support

Hi, I had configured OpManager to show performance of my database server. I had configure it to show all the performance counters but it fails me to give performance readings(graphs) of CPU Utilization,Memory Utilization & Disk Utilization. I tried to troubleshoot but doesnot help. Pls. guide.
Discovery Issues
When Discovering devices in opmanager 7 the devices do not get placed in the proper networks. There is no way of moving the devices to the proper network or even creating a network unlike V6. I have many vlans some are 24 bit netmasks and some are 20 bit netmasks. The discovery process will create some networks that do not exists in my architecture. I did not have these issues in Version 6. Also why was the abilty to add, remove and rediscover networks removed? Bad decision if you ask me.
OpManager Premium or MSP
Hi All, I work for an IT services provide and we are currently looking to roll out a remote netmon solution and are looking at OpManager as a solution (we are also looking at MS System Center among others). Delete alerts and Bandwidth Monitor problems
Hello, I am having trouble with the following: Deleting Alerts, I had 3000 ip address manager alerts plus some others. I was able to delete the others by slecting the alert and deleting all. But when I try that with the IP adress Manager the screen blinks but they are still there. Polling Period
Hi, I want to setup a monitor that polls every 5mins but between certain time periods i.e create a URL monitor which polls each 5mins from 9am - 4pm, Monday to Friday. Can App Mgr do this.?? Regards, Rick

customing monitor
Hi, i would like to personalize resource monitor and create new vendor section but in the file opmanager_graphinfo.xml when i put a vendor different from SNMP i get error message in opmanager "resource monitor section". Monitoring oracle
Hi, I'm monitoring an oracle server with several databases. I want to monitor tablespace allocated, used, etc. for each database. The problem is that it seems to be monitoring all that but just from one database, the one that has the greatest index. Furthermore, when visualizing the data graphically, the titles of each tablespace graphic appear as the index of tablespace, not the its name. Any idea? Regards, Rodrigo.

Opmanager 7 GA questions&problems
Hi, we are using Opmanager 6, Netflow 5 and Service desk 6 in our organization, and apart for some small problems, we love them. I have installed version 7 on test server and i am having some problems with this version: - All my 2003 servers are recognized as NT, this does not happen with DC - There is no way that i can add Exchange monitoring on my mail servers, application tab is just not there. unpacking failed
Hi, I tried to install opManager v.7 on my son's computer and got the error message: "unpacking failed". Changing default port for SSH login
Dear OpManager Support Team I do like OpManager7 to login to devices using SSH but I have devices which do not run SSH on port 22 but use anotther port instead. Is it possible to tell OpManager7 to connect on another port instead of 22 ? Thanks. Baek

Hello, MIB browser does not show line number which caused the problem while loading MIB in the MIB database. It just displays the message : Unable to parse MIB file - MIB file name. This is quite time consuming process for user to go through complete MIB (as user has no idea where the exact problem is and check for any errors. SNMP String Value
I request SNMP Values from an Temperature Measure Software. Unfortunately OpManager isn't able to use String Values for his graphs (but get them in the Monitor Test and the MIB Browser?). Is there any possibility to get the correct Values (for example I get the Values with *10 and OpManager calculates with /10 for the graph or something else)? If this is not possible, where can I format the graphs so that the Zero Line isn't Zero Value?
Custom Monitor Issue
Hi I have custom monitor that test mailq size. I have tested the the SNMP with the following command from the server: snmpwalk -Os -c PASS -v 1 HOST .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.8.1.101. That works fine. error and white screen
I am setting up opmanger and i am trying to monitor servers over a VPN. Discovery find the servers, but when I try to change using the device type button I get a whote screen with the word error on it. Tha is it. Any ideas? Lucky
