Devices not showing in Opmanager 7
I've been using OpManager 6 for a while now and just replaced it with OpManager 7.
Because there aren�t many devices to monitor I manually added these devices back in.
Although OpManager had informed me they had all been successfully added, I encountered problems with some of these when I tried to view them.
3 Cisco 7206 routers were picked up without a problem, whilst one Cisco 6513 switch showed up as a desktop and the other 6513 was missing completely.
I updated the settings in OpManager for the Cisco switch that had showed up as a desktop but even then OpManager still couldn�t see any interfaces on it. After checking I found it needed the ACL updating that was limiting SNMP access.
I then deleted the Cisco 6513 switch from OpManger and manually added it again. This time, like the other 6513, OpManager reported it had been added but it doesn�t show up in the device list at all.
I�ve tried using both the name and the IP address to reference these when adding them in but it makes no difference.
So I then used the MibBrowser and found that it can retrieve information like interfaces without problems from these 6513 switches so this doesn�t look like an SNMP issue.
In which case why is OpManager not showing these 6513 switches in its database?
