problems monitoring exchange on SBS 2003 + probe
hello, When i want to monitor Exchange on a SBS 2003 (DC+Exchange+Probe) i get the following error: 80041064 - User credentials cannot be used for local connections. Refer Troubleshooting Tips the troubleshooting guide says that i don't have to configure a password, but when i do that i can't monitor AD. SBS 2003 (Dc+Exchange+Probe 6004) Regards, Sjoerd
Problems with hyperlinks
When using MS Visio, I can't seem to get a hyperlink to work and bring me to a snapshot reports page of servers set up. Instead I am brought to an overview page. Anyone else have issues similar to this one? thanks matt
Linking to report pages
I'm working on a project where I need to have a hyperlink take me to a servers report page. Everytime I set up a hyperlink I am brought to the page which shows: Average Availability Availability Distribution Top-N CPU Utilization and more bar graphs of ALL the servers set up. Has anyone dealt with this or know how a work around this?
SMS Toolkit for MSP
Hi I have got MSP Central and Probe running on the same machine for Trial, thanks to Support. I can' seem to find SMS Server or how to create business views (WAN maps). Could this be because I an using a Trial Probe? Please point me in the right direction(s). Thanks Shareef

problem in adding a new user in USM table!!!!!!
Hi I need to create a new user with name=pratap & authorization password = pratap123 in USM table in C-Agent. As directed by you, I have tried this using application snmpUSMRemoteConfigure . Hi,Op team I have installed OP7 in Windows 2003 Server,and used MS SQL as OP7's Database,when I add swithces I meet a serious problem. I added a cisco 2950-48G using 10 mins,I found that OP7 needs long time to add it's ports,then OP7 returns "add successfully".Meantime I check "task management",there only sqlsvr.exe using 45%-70% CPU and 201M memory. It's very slow,add a switch needs 10mins.I have 52 switches.So,how can I do to solve this problem?? Waiting for your reply?? system configuration: 2

Hi Guys Need some help here. Whilst Ive studied TCPIP, SNMP etc a few years back, it appears Im quite rusty on MIB's. We are using Opmanager MSP (which has no MIB Browser at the central store.. only on the probe). I do have an understanding of what a MIB is, how it relates to SNMP, how it queries devices, traps etc etc What I do feel is lacking is my understanding of how, where and the related processes of importing MIBS into MSP. e.g. We have a customer�s site with a Xerox 8550 printer. MSP frustration
I have upgraded the msp version and was hoping a ot of new things... Look at the wifi section..... Is there any AP that is using a harddrive? So why do you see this? Why are ther so little mibs in the database? For example is missing AP1100 the cisco swich 3560. The AP1100 are in the the wifimanager so copy it simple into MSP. OpManager 7 becomes very very slow
Hello, we are evaluating the OpManager 7. We added a lot of machines on friday, with no problems. On monday the OpManager was inaccessible. The login page requires about 5 minutes to appear. After login you have to wait for more than 10 minutes to change between the sites. While surfing on the site the java.exe process consumes 100% CPU. The OpManager monitors now about 250 devices. Object are not placed correctly in map view
In mapmaker of Opmanager itself, I've created a new business view and have placed the shortcuts and links where I would like them. When I then view the map in OpManager, the icons are not where I placed them and the link lines are off about 1cm so that they are not actually touching the shortcuts. Any ideas on why this is occurring? Also, I deleted a business view and recreated it with the same name. My user who is limited to all business views can no longer see this particular business view in OpManager.
SQL 2005, non-domain, DBs & SQL monitoring not work
I have 3 SQL 2005 servers (1 in domain, 2 are non-domain). All monitoring works great on the domain member, but for the non-domain servers, only part of the WMI works like CPU, Disk, and Memory; windows service info is also returned. interface description length

UPS Monitors
I have loaded an MGE UPS mib and created some monitors onto OpManager 7 and it is working as expected. However it does not show up the monitors in the dashboard section of the UPS page. What names must the monitors be called in order to display the dashboard and graphs for Load, Remaining Time, Power Status, Battery health, etc.? We are using a higher level account to authenticate against our servers and wondered how secure those passwords were in the Op Manager database. Probe vs Agent
Hi, I seem to remember one of your support guys saying that (at some point in the future), OpManager (I am looking at the MSP product) will offer a full agent which can be installed on every computer being managed, rather than just the remote control agent. One of the things we need is the ability to monitor and manage computers that are not connected to the same network as the customer's probe (laptops, home computers where we manage those as well). Negative Number displayed for Server Response Time
I have installed version 7.0. I have a server monitor setup to monitor a machine over the internet. All I want to know is the Responce time and that the machine is present. The issues is that at certain times the values returned for the last monitor are negative numbers. I know the machine is available and the connection is active as others are using the machine from our office. What do the negative numbers mean?

Starting OpManager in Linux
I have installed OpManager on my Linux Redhat 9 server. I start the application by changing to /opt/AdventNet/ME/OpManager/bin then I run ./StartOpManagerServer.sh. The problem is this script doesn't exit and I don't get back to a command prompt. The application is accessible via web browser and everything looks like it works. Is this normal behavior or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

all PDFs are blank shells...
Fresh install in Free mode on Windows Server 2003 R2, 32 bit. Monitoring is functioning fine. Reports generate to screen fine. However, any PDF i create (click on PDF icon or any report via email) is nothing but a blank OpManager shell - see attachment. Please let me know what additional information would help diagnose the problem.
SMS Messages
Can we use a free service like google's free sms (http://www.google.com/sendtophone) to send messages to our telephones. I undrerstand that if the internet link goes down i will never receive the message but it would be a nice option to have for those of us that have redundant links to the web.
