Cannot Start the SD+
Hi All, I upgrade the SD+ from 6015 to 7000 but finally upgrading to the 7000 is failed at 99%. So, I Uninstall the 7000 and Restore Full Back of 6015. Now, Here is the problem. "Unable to start MySQL server on port 33335. Please free the port" This Error Message appeared and I understand that i need to end mysql-nt.exe from Task Manager. Ok, I start the service with run.bat but now this time... The error message appear like that "Failed to start the server. Please refer logs for more details." WHAT
OpManager On Startup
Just wondering is there a way for OpManager not to open upon startup? I've removed it from the startup panel and didn't see anything in the registry. I am doing this because I am only a part-time Admin (due to the facility being small) and I share a computer with the night shift operations manager. Already installed OpManager on the server, but it was running rather sluggish (upgraded the memory by 512mb (now 1 gig), can't upgrade any more due to their budget). Hi, Can not add perf monitors to new devices. Can not add perf monitors to existing monitors. WMI/SNMP does not matter. Tried repair. Tried http://forums.manageengine.com/forumHome.do?forumGroupId=49000000002007&forumTopicId=49000002643739amp;highlight=exception+occured+savepolleddata+api Categories do not work. e.g. add windows 2003 do not get monitors. Configure threshold
In a user guide it is said to click Graphs and Thresholds under configure menu... I simply can't find this command My main purpose is to alert an e-mail on a threshold event. What about thresholds which are notified in Monitors are they able to generate e-mail?
Request: Customization of pages
Hi, Could you include the ability to customize the serverpage. It seems that only "Service Monitors" are shown, not the "Windows service monitors". This would be a nice feature as you directly would see the affected services. The ability to edit the view of "business views" would be very much appreciated. I have about 50 business views, and more are coming. I would however like to have only 10 of them visible, as we will try to involve helpdesk personel to opmanager. 50 or more pages is not effective

Hello, We are currently monitoring 73 devices, of which i initially manually set up a notification profile to just my email address. I want to add more team members to be notified of device issues. Is there a better way to get all existing modified than manually adding a new notification profile to each device? thanks

Hi all, I have a problem concerning the monitoring of my custom OIDs. In fact, I have a "multiple" oid and I request the state of my ports, it sends me back the state of my 4 ports like on this picture. Unable add a device after delet it
Hi, I have OpManager 7102 and SQL 2005 DB with compatibility level 80. When I add a device by IP address first time I have not any problem but if I delete it and add again I don't see this device in OpManager. What can I do ? Slava
Availability Statistics problem
Hi guy, We are using OpManager 7 and its working fine. Only problem is since last month 19, availability data is not being saved to OpManager. When i click on a device (any device router, switch, servers etc... all are same) and show availability for last 30 days it shows the following: Availability Statistics Options Uptime(%) Today 100.0 Yesterday 99.639 Last 7 days 0.0 Last 30 days 100.0 This week 0.0 Last week 0.0 This month 0.0 Last month 99.919 As you can see we don't have any data for last
Availability Report - limited to business hours/days
Hi, We would like to create timebased availability reports for some servers like: - only during business hours from 7:00 till 18:00 - or only on week days - 24h 7/7 - 24h 5/7 In following topic" How to create a report limited to business hours only" from (08/05/2008) was mentioned that this would be available in he next hotfix. But we don't see an option in the current version of OPmanager (build 7102). Is there a way to create timebased reports (eg report of last monts between 7:00 and 18:00) ?

Hi all, I have some question about OpManager restore process. my OpManager version: 7020 Than I backed up the data from this OpManager (7020). I restored DB in other server. But It couldn't restore every server. Hi, my Sophos Antivirus performs an update every hour. If this update is successful, an event is generated. If the update is not successful, no event is generated. Is there a apossibilty to create a monitor in opmanager that gives me an alarm, when an event is missing for a specified period of time? Regards Juergen

Edit Criteria for profile to occur between times
I wanted to Edit the Criteria for a profile assigned to a device and select the Apply this profile during the below mentioned time window option to specify that the notification should only occur during business hours Monday to Friday. When I do this the alert fail to be sent. I can get it to send if I specify 00:001 to 23:59 every day, but as soon as I try to make the time more specific or reduce the days, it fails to send an email alert. Unable to remove many monitors
We are evaluating OpManager for network device management. As an example of one of the issues we are experiencing with OpManager, we have a Cisco Catalyst 4506. I selected to Add Monitors for CRC Errors, Bits In and Bits Out. This created over 600 monitors on the device, 3 for each port. There appears to be no way to remove the bulk of these. If I go what appears as the easy route and select Add Monitor, and simpy UNcheck the monitors in question, they are not removed. If I go to the SnapShot page
Yet another feature request: Notifying groups by email/sms.
Hi all, Is it an idea to add the ability to notify groups of engineers by email or SMS? This should then be done by Notification profiles and it would be convenient if it would be possible to configure on device level too.. What I'm thinking of is creating a list of specific email and/or SMS receivers. While configuring the devices you can than specify either specific email or SMS receivers or a group of members with selected email/SMS receivers. Currently it looks as if you've to add email/SMS receivers
Allow multiple choices for additioanl fields
When adding customized additional fields, we can only choose one item from the pick list. However, we hope we can choose more than one items, e.g. impact on several departments.

Feature request for "Downtime Scheduler"
Hi! I've configured a "downtime scheduler" entry for restarting all servers each week. As expected I didn't receive any SMS for this time. But now, I activated sending traps on the servers. Traps are sent by SMS although the "downtime scheduler" is running. Is it possible to create a checkbox at the "downtime scheduler" configuration that traps shouldn't be sent, too?? Poll using TCP
Hi All, My problem is that two of my servers are not pingable. Therefore, I hace to use TCP polling. I configured TCP poll for port 22 and then 80. However, in both cases OpManager can see that the device is up, but for packet loss it shows N/A or 100%. As a result, it shows 100% unavailability on graphs and reports. Custom Monitor Graph description not making sense
Hi, i have created a custom monitor using a QoS mib from Cisco. The custom monitor work fine but when i go and look at the graph the display appears to be presenting index numbers of the map class, i can see no where where this can be changed. this is crucial to use rolling out the product to our clients. i have added an attachment showing what i am getting
Discovery of new services
Hi, I defined number of new services to be monitored. However, I can not make OpManager to find those services on my servers. The only way to assign services is to add them by hand. Is there any way to make OpManager to discover custom services? (They are marked for check during discovery process.) Bithajcsar
ESX Server VMware CPU Utilization is over 1000%
I have a VMware ESX server that is being monitored in Opmanager and I just added the monitors for CPU Utilization and it is showing that two of the machines are using over 1000%! One is listed as 3192% and the other is at 39246%. Is there something that I am doing incorrectly? Thanks, Joe

I added new device template to add my Cisco ASA5510 appliance, i am able to see all the interfaces, however, i am not able to monitor CPU, Memory, Active Session Count and Temperature of this device using SNMP credentials. Please help. Regards Samad

Problem with Exchange Monitoring
Hi, I'm evaluating build 7101 of OpManager and on the whole it seems to work quite well. However, I'm having a problem getting the monitoring of our Exchange 2003 server to work correctly. Every time I try to test one of the Exchange monitors I always get a message back saying the monitor did not respond to the test request. I've tried the following to try and fix the problem: I've triple checked the logon credentials and they are correct I've checked the permissions for DCOM & WMI on the Exchange
Moving Database to different server
Hi Guys I am trying to move OpManager from one server to another both servers are windows 2000, but have different host names. The build version is 7020 When I copy the database from the original server to the new one I get the following error Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted. Don't worry.. Notification after more than one check
Is there a way to delay the notification of a downed server until the second or third time it's reported down? We have a Windows service that is scheduled to stop and restart when it receives updates. We don't need to know that it went down for that, only if it goes down and stays down. -Thank you.
typo in device name has caused inaccessible device
Hi, I have put a typo in a device name. I clicked on its IP address after adding and by mistake put " - Device Name" I cannot reach this device by name, IP address, or by searching through device maps.... What to do?? Regards, BF

How can I compare and contrast OpManager and AppManager?? Is there anything on the ManageEngine website that would help me do this?? They seem quite similar, and I get the impression that AppManager provides more detailed application monitoring per se. Thank you, Tom
Acknowledged Alarms & recent alarm log
Any chance that once an Alarm has been acknowledged that it is removed only from the recent alarm log? At present the only way to remove an alarm from here is to clear it however as an Operations team, we only want to know about recent un-acknowledged alarms, not acknowldged ones. The alarms tab would still show acknowldged and un-acknowldged alarms. Many thanks Brad

I confirmed that system name, desc, oid etc. but i not confirmed that cpu utilization, memory, disk utilization etc. Does must HOST-RESOURCE-MIB load?
