Report Time Window
first, sorry for my bad english. I ned to create a Device Availability Report. Period "yesterday" and time window "8-8" works fine period "last week" or all settings larger 1 day generates an error "Data not available for the selected period.Please select a different period" the same settings with time window 24h works also fine. any idea ? Opmanager 8 - Reporting
In previous versions of Opmanager, the reports would also be saved on the local server running opmanager, in /home/reports. I am running OpManager 8 on linux, and I do not see the same thing. Is this correct or where are the reports saved?
Is it possible to show the subnet "friendly name"
Is it possible to show the subnet "friendly name" in the list on the left and graphs of the summary view? Since this is where we are suppose to go to drill down into our subnets, seeing the friendly name would be very helpful. Thanks.

SNMP traps
Hi Guys, I have just configured the Trap Receiver module in the OpUtils 4 package (started the snmp-trap daemon listening at the UDP/162 port) but unfortunatelly I can't see any traps in the Viewer despite I can see physically the UDP packets comming from my Cisco router while using the tcpdump network analyser on the server. I tried to stop and start the trap daemon as well as refersh the view but it didn't help. Do you know if there is anything else that should be configured to see the incomming
Cannot uninstall OpUtil 4 after bad install on XP
Hi. I would like to un-install a bad install of the OptUtils 4 application and try again. I attempted to download and install the trial version of OptUtils 4 the other night. The install hung up after a statement said something like, "Installing/Unpacking, this will take a few minutes." I noticed that the hard drive was not being accessed. I waited about 10 minutes. I ran Task Manager to see what was going on. I noticed that the Performance was nearly at 100% and the system appeared to be locked

I placed a call in to opmanger support last week and have yet to get any sort of resolution. When I go into the routers catagory none of the routers show up. i change the view, nothing.

Problem with WAN RTT Monitor
I'm running a trial of your OpManager build 8005. I'm trying to setup the WAN RTT Monitor, I've setup the write communitry string on both router and opmanager to be the same, but when I try to add the router it keeps on saying "SNMP write comunnity maybe wrong".. Stop Alarms on Desktops but display up or down
How do I stop the alert messages for devices, however I do want them to show a Red/Green status for up or down? If I click off polling, the messages stop, but the status is always green.

mysql-bin.000 Files
Our server has a growing number of mysql-bin.0000x files in the mysql/data folder. Can these files be deleted? they are growing very quickly and the server is running out of space shortly. Hi there, I am using a demo of op manager, one of our requirements for an SNMP Monitoring software is the ability to fully customise the way it looks, currently the 'templates' are very VERY confusing, is there a way to build a custom template without having to edit a load of Java...this '.do' extension isn't a physical file from what I can tell so although editing of the HTML is ok, nothing seams to be particularly straightforward enough for me to just simply edit the pages. do you have a tutorial

connecting to asset in ServiceDesk Plus
I have added 2 serves in the assets section of ServiceDesk Plus In Opmanager I can link to one server but not the other. What is the connecting parameter. I was thinking that as long as the name is the same they should be related however this is not the case as the asset details (in SD+) and the name in Opmanager are the same but they cannot see each other. Feature Suggestion
Wondering if there is a way to make editing SNMP Trap Processors easier. When I added a bunch from a MIB file they all got added as Critical. I am now having to go into each one individually and change them to Attention. So it would be great to have a way to modify them in bulk. Also, when you are currently editing a trap processor after you successfully make changes to one it returns you back to the very first page of the trap processor listing. Hi we are getting too many traps made up of the following No Trap Parser defined for received trap: Enterprise: .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.21.2 Generic Type: 6 No Trap Parser defined for received trap: Enterprise: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.41.2 Generic Type: 6 How do we stop these please ?, its hurting performance and our ability to find "real" trap messages. Database and Application Migration issue
We have moved our Database to a new SQL 2005 server, and we have installed the application on a new server, and we are able to connect and see all the business views and devices, but we are unable to view any historical data, such as port utilization, dashboard information, etc. It's like it is starting from scratch. Upgraded to Opmanager 8 and Drive Space report issue
Just recently upgraded to Opmanager 8 last week. When the Drive Space Report gets email it has reverted back all jumbled up, it was like this in Opmanager 7 until Kevin at Opmanager fixed it. This mind you took over a year to get a resolution which is pretty poor. It was promised so many times in hotfixes but some files were copied to sort this out! Hopefully this can be resolved in version 8 asap please as we use this report everyday. Also in version 8 the graphic displays have also disappeared
Missing interface stats on V8
We are looking at OpManager for a couple of customers. I have V7 running on one machine and V8 running on another beside it. When I add a Nortel ERS 5520-24T-PWR switch the V7 config shows port statistics and graphs, but the V8 only shows N/A and No Data. Under V8 to see this data do I need the Network version ?

How to monitor Informix with OpManager
Hi all, I am trying to find a way to monitor Informix with OpManager. I have managed the RedHat server that it resides on. But unsure how to go about the Informix side of things. I used the monitor scripting and that works and outputs queries to a output.txt file, but it seems that functionality only works with Application Manager, not OpManager? I also heard that you can monitor Informix with SNMP but do not know the OID's etc. Any help in this would be much appreciated. Regards Joel
VM's not showing up on ESX 3.5 server
Hi, I have 6 ESX 3.5 servers and 5 of them are showing up fine in Opmanager but the last one stubbornly refuses to display any VM's that are running on it. Using the mib browser I can see the VM info pulled from the server and I have double checked all the snmp settings on the host but still not having any luck. Business Views - Cannot edit
Hi, We currently are having a problem editing the Business View maps both in MapMaker desktop client and the Web edit, both timeout. The MapMaker application lets adds/deletion from the map but does not allow customization of the individual icons or sizes, it displays nothing when right clicking and then selecting Properties. Change opmanager tomcat default port 8005
Dear Support, I installed another application (running tomcat as well) on the server running licensed opmanager 7205 and opmanager service fails to start. Have trace the wrapper log and it shows that the port 8005 is in use. I have tried to change the port number in server.xml in tomcat conf directory but upon restarting opmanager services, the server.xml file is been replaced back with the original copy. I need to run both application running tomcat on the same server. Pls advise how to change opmanager

MSSQL not running on this server (on a SQL server)
I'm getting this message when I try to add an MSSQL performance monitor. Also, it says the MSSQL windows services are not running, even though they are showing when I click "discover services". My credential tests says snmp/wmi passed.
Server Availability Report Error

opUtils screen resolution
Hello support team, I'm using a secondary monitor on my computer. The main screen is 1920 x 1200, the secondary is 1280 x 1024. When I open opUtils on the second screen it looks like the screen width of some opUtil pages is set to a width of 1920. This happens with e.g. the IPAM screen, SPM single switch detail display but not SPM main display, rogue detection "Discovered" but not "Rogue", "Guest", "Trusted" Can that be fixed? Regards, Goetz
Interface Refresh
On all of my switches we use the description to name what the port is connected to which changes occasionally. I have tried to do a rediscovery and it did not update them to the new description's that had been changed. What I ended up doing is removing the device and re-adding it in order for it to be updated. Is there a better way to accomplish this? If so is there a way to schedule Opmanager to check that value on a periodic basis? Thanks, Joe
Feature Request : Page Advance button at bottom of pages
Currently you must scroll all the way up to top of page in order to advance the screen to the next page. A similar button at bottom of page would help quite a bit. Also the screen must be scrolled to the right in order to click the advance button. Moving it closer to center or even to the left would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
UPS Dials not working
We have 2 devices selected as Powerware 9390. The monitors all work and collect data, but the UPS Load and UPS Status dials are not populating. Are we missing something? There were earlier posts about modifying ups_monitors.xml (the data for the Powerware 9390 is not in the file), which I've tried. Shouldn't standard devices already be in the .xml file? Switchport Manager hangs at 43% on 6509 switch scan
We have Firewall Manager so I decided to install and test Oputils to see if it is something I could use. It installed OK and I added a router and a switch then started the scan. It starts OK but stops at 43.23% and does not proceed any further. The switch is a Cisco 6059 with the internal router installed so the router IP and the switch IP are the same. So far the partial scan does show MAC addresses but not resolving to IP yet. I am assuming that the resolving will happen after the scan is completed.
