Problem with DC - OpManager
Hi, I seem to be having an issue with one of our domain controllers in OpManager. For some reason, the memory utilization dial and AD store dial constantly revert back to No Data Available. If I look down at the monitors, both of them say N/A. On the DC in question, the NTDS.Dit is not on the C drive, it’s actually on another (S drive) partition. When I enter the new path, I have to enter it like this: S:\\Windows\\NTDS\\NTDS.dit I click on ok but then have to go back and edit the monitor

Availability not monitored
I'm going to try this in the forum. We are in the latest verion of opmanager, and it has stopped monitoring Availability. I jus has a blue graph, and if you hover onit i says "not monitored". This is critical for reports the we need to produce. Thanks,

Is the ICMP poll interval for devices same as SNMP monitoring interval and where is settings for ICMP polling interval for device? I cannot find that settings in opmanager user interface. Thanks in advance!
Failed to establish connection with web server
Hi friends! I have a problem in OpManager Enterprise 7 probes and central. When I try to start Opmanager server, appears the follow error: "Failed to establish connection with web server. Gracefully shutting down OpManager." Read other topic, I found a solution only for OpManager 8, but not to OpManager 7 Enterprise. The OpManager 8 have the Apache Service, but The OpManager Enterprise 7 don't have "Apache" folder in "AdeventNet/ME/OpManager/".... this folder and the StartWebSvr.sh file not exist
netflow plugin+ssl
I installed opmanager and netflow plugin. Everything worked fine util apache ssl instalation according to link: http://support.opmanager.com/sd/AddSolution.sd?solID=22801 Afther that all page works fine except netflow pages. When I tray to open "NetFlow modules" appears "Security information" windows with informations that page contains secure and nonsecure items. When I click on Yes appears "Page cannot be displayed" page:(. Is there some configuration for this issue to start work properly?
error after losing the connection to the MS SQL SB

Hi , I'm new to using Opmanager, I am wondering if it is possible to have an email sent to me daily with resource statistics and memory usage, also an alarm emailed to me if resource usage becaomes dangerously high? I also want to be able to run a web client of opmanager on one of our client machines.........pointing to our server , is that possible? Is there a web interface i can run from a client?????

Running OpManager on Win2k3 server. When I want to go and add another windows service monitor, I get to the page that wants the server name. I add the ip, then user, I ad administrator, then password, which I supply. When the system finishes it returns an error: Error # The RPC server is unavailable. Anyone know what I am missing here.?

using disk treshold alarm for SAN-based disks on servers
Hi, when i try to add the Partition Details of the Device monitor on a main server that we have that has a lot of san-based disks attached to it, the only disk i get up and that i can monitor is c: wich is the only local disk on the machine. How can i monitor the san based disks?
Restoring from a backup in 8022
Hi, I am having the following issues on opmanager after upgrading to 8022 1. I made list view as the default view in the dashboard.however now when i try to revert back to get the map view as the default I cannot do so. Is this a bug within 8022?? if not how can i revert back to map view. 2.I had taken a backup using the scripts backupDB.bat,backupConfFiles.bat, and BackupDb_Config.bat.However now when i try to restore using restoreDB.bat. it gives me the followin error. Failover - failback?
Hi, I have OPManager running in a failover configuration using the built in mysql database. The failover itself worked fine but when the primary server came back online both servers now think they are the primary. I've done some testing adding a different device to each server and neither of them appear in the other server. It looks like they are running independantly of each other, is there something that I need to do to get them back in hot standby mode? Thanks, Gareth

I've Linux RedHat Version and OpManager8 in root. First of all, I need to apache before install OpManager or so. Or OpManager8 built-in apache. Next, I try to execute OpManager in <OpManager-Home>/bin but it's create the table and process until it alert the message like this "Failed to establish connection with web server. Cannot add new CCTV
Hi, I am trying to create my own CCTV view with just the Business View and list of alarms, however when I try to do it, I am unable to add a new CCTV view. It just not not show the new CCTV view in the list of CCTV views. It however does not throw and error while adding it. Am i missing out on any setting that needs to be done prior to adding a new CCTV view. Do let me know. Thanks, Renita

Hi, I wonder if there is any visual indication, if OPM is running in active or standby mode? When I start both servers, the green task icon is shown, regardless of the condition in which the server is. I see that in the OpManager/images/ folder are different "logo16x16_xxx.png" files in gray, green and red. Maybe this would be a nice visual indication. Best regards Philip

Our evolution of OpManager is over, so i cannot check it myself. The question is: Is it possible to make tabular report of such a kind: ____________________|Average Memory usage (%)| Disk C: used (%)| Disk D: used (%)| servername1__________|______________________|_______________|_______________| servername2__________|______________________|_______________|_______________| or (if this kind of report is not available) just multiple reports in ONE: Memory usage, Disk C: usage And it would be so great
Custom snapshot dial for Dell Poweredge 2950 disk status?
Hello, Is it possible to have a custom snapshot dial, that displays the disk status like in Dell OpenManage below: So it would display the disks and then either a green, amber or red light depending on the status? Or something similar to this, that will allow better visibility of when a disk reports an error. I have setup a custom raid status monitor, and currently recieve a status of 3 (OK). Thanks, Jack.

Hi, I tried a couple of times to install NFA Add-on to our Opmanager setup. I get the attached error message when I start up the opmanager server after installation. And on the NFA screens, all traffic is categorized "Unaccounted". Even after 2 days of running. I am using build 8022 of Opmanager and build 7700 of NFA (wich is strange since everywhere the website mention that the most up to date build is 7600...) Hi, I don't know if this is against your dashboard/business view concept but it would be nice if I can build links to other dashboards in a business view map. For example I have a map with all my locations. If I click on one of them I get to the dashboard and have a nice overview of the location. Corrupt Dashboard, CCTV, and Widget names
I have recently reinitialised our OPManager DB and the components listed in the subject have become corrupt. For example: Network Overview default dashboard now displays as: @(dashboard.name.nwoverview) Device Summary Widget displays as: @(widget.name.devicesummary) All of the Widgets and Dashboards display like this. I've uninstalled and reinstalled OPManager, but the issue remains so it looks like something has gone wrong in the database. Any advice you can provide is much appreciated. regards

Different values between "Test monitor" and MIB Browser
Hi! I have a problem that I've never seen before. I have added some custom monitors (about one year ago). They worked fine. Yesterday I controlled them and found out that values aren't correct any more. Immediately I checked it by using your MIB Browser (the same device, the same credentials, the same OID). Then I've got values as expected (but completely different form the values returned from the custom monitor). What is wrong with this monitor? I'm adding two screenshots here so that you can see
EFI Fiery Xerox DocuColor 242
We are having trouble with printer monitoring with our Xerox DocuColor D242. it has a built in EFI Fiery. when we setup the monitoing the supply levels seam to report totaly randomly. one second it shows a toner level at 10% then it jumps to 50% then down to 3% then up to 1200%. it will do this for all supplys on the printer. any advice?
[BUG] Data files size chart for MS SQL databases
On the chart that comes up for file sizes for databases it shows the correct size on the left but under the chart the Min Max Ave and 9thPercentile numbers show something like 2.14748364737 for the size. It looks like it must be using a 32bit integer counter and cannot handle large numbers over the 2.1+ billion limit. Does the chart use an internal 32bit counter or does it use what the device shows for the counter type?
Network View Issue
I added two of our switchs... and went to network view.. it shows 23 of our networks..... the x.20.x.x subnet has links to what the core router is located but for our x.17.x.x network it shows this green link that goes off the top left of the page into the great abyss -- Is there a way to refresh or redraw that network map? I have tried to restart the app and refresh the browser cache. Thanks,

Dear all,We have several Dell Poweredge w2003 servers monitored with OpManager, using snmp&wmi. Issue is that depending of the device type we select : Type = Dell, vendor = Dell Inc. Type = Windows 2003, vendor = Microsoft I can add specific vendor snmp monitor or not. For example to monitor server temperature (OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1.700.20.1.6), I need to change server device type to 'Dell'. To add an event log rule, I need to change server device,type to 'Windows 2003'. This is not convenient,
Looking for widget for Bottom 10 as opposed to Top 10
Hi, I'd like to be able to see my "bottom 10" or "last 10" devices for CPU, RAM and drive usage, so I can see which servers are sitting idle most of the time. Is this already possible, and if not can it please be added? Thanks!
syslogs from routers
Hi, As a part of my router configuration, I would like to receive syslogs from the router and view them. I have it configured on the router side, however when i view in syslog viewer I do not see anything. Can I see these syslogs on the device snapshot page too. Is there anyway to do this. Change port number - Snapshot page
Is there a way (on the device snapshot page) to change the port number that is associated with the "browse to" icon in the Tools. For example, if I use the icon from the snapshot page of one of our devices, the URL goes to http://<ipaddress>;. What we would like ideally, is to be able to change the port number on the URL to http://<ipaddress>:<port_number>;. We would like to be able to do this per device not as a global setting. Is this possible? If not, can you consider it as a feature request?
Adding the SQL Monitor to multiple servers
I have about 45 SQL servers I need to monitor. Is there a way I can add the SQL Monitor for all instances to every server at one time or must I go into each server and click the Add Monitor button and manually configure the monitor for each SQL instance? I would ask the same question about the Exchange Monitor since I also have 10 Exchange servers. They all run Exchange 2003 SP2 and could authenticate against the same DC. Can I build a template and apply it to all of them?

We are having the issue where a remote office router is down, the servicing ISP reroutes the ping to an alternate (fake) IP but OpManager is not showing site (router) as down. In the ping we get a 'TTL expired in Transit' error. Any ideas on how we can get OpManager to see that the IP being returned on the ping is not the destination IP?
