Errors encountered evaluating NCM and Netflow plug-in on OpManager 8022
Dear Support Team, I am running registered OpManager 8022 and had installed NCM and Netflow plug-in. When I click on the NCM link on the top-right corner, it will direct back to the OpManager login page. As for Netflow, I cant find any link from anywhere to invoke netflow. Is there any other settings required or did I missed out any steps? Thanks.

I'm using opmanager on a win server, now i want move all data on another server windows with the same opmanager release. Is it possible migrate all data from a opmanager to another one? thanks
Router configuration
Hi, Within the router snapshot page, can I customize the router health today chart to remove buffer hits,misses and failures. I would prefer having the traffic related to certain interfaces rather than the ones mentioned earlier. I am currently on Opmanager V8. Do let me know. Thanks, Renita
IP of a certain server changing itself by magic
Hello I have a certain server who's IP is 1.2.3.5 and at random, OM7 is changing it to 1.2.3.6, which then sets off alarms. When I log into the console, I can see it's changed, I simply change it back and update the status, and it's fixed. It has done this now everyday for the last 4 days, only to this server, and always to the same wrong IP. It happens at random times during the day. We've had this stable install of OM7 for at least 2 years in various versions without a problem. Any suggestions?
ESX 3.5 snmpd.conf file
I am trying to enable monitoring of our ESX servers with OpManager. What is the standard configuration of the snmpd.conf file in ESX 3.5 to allow monitoring from OpManager? I have a 3.0 ESX server that works, but i cant see the VM's running on it.

CPU Performance graphs
Can anyone tell me why OpManager shows CPU performance graphs for some machines as 2 CPU's, when all they have is 1 hyper threaded CPU and other machines as 1 CPU, when they have 2 Quad core CPU's? Am I seeing all the CPU stats on the 2 Quad core CPU's or am I missing some CPU performance data?

Router down but no alarme triggered ?
Dear all, we use OpManager for 5 years, last week, I've totally re-install my server with release 8022, an discovery again all devices from a clean database, so most of parameters are default. Last night, we had a breakdown on a wan router, I can see in the response time of this router that it did not reply to ping request for the time it was down, but no alarm had been created !!!Do you know this kind of issue ? thank you, Christophe Christophe

Hi, I am running the report Disk Usage by Drives and only one column/field show up (Free Space) the other columns Total Space, Used Space and used % has a NA in the field. I would like to have all these fields present with the appropriate data. How can I make this work? Thanks, Marc
Impossible to add devices in 8021
I have made a fresh installation of opmanager and it seems quite impossible to add nodes. I keep getting the following error: Entries for the device are either partially added or removed.Click [here...] to remove and readd the device I have a ms sql database and have tried to follow the tips in http://support.opmanager.com/AddSolution.sd?solID=1808 but that doesn´t seem to work for me. Path and limit of generated daily log files in OpUtils
Hi, We are using OpUtils (version 5.6 (build 5617)) and few days ago we had generated daily log file of 1.5 GB in size. Daily log files are generated on path AdventNet\ME\OpUtils\logs\localhost_log.YYYY-MM-DD.txt by default. Is there a way to change this path? Is there a way to limit size of log file? Thanks, Darko
Slow Switch Port Mapper Scan
Hallo We've installed the OpUtils Tool in our factory. So far it's working great an we get all informations which we looking for. At the moment, we've got 112 Cisco devices an around 3300 switchports to scan. The hole system runs on a virtual VMWare ESX server, with Windows Server 2003, 3 GHz processor and 512 MB memory. When i click scan all devices is takes around two hours to scan them. Isn't this a little bit to long? Greetings from Switzerland Patrick

Problem with Business Views
Hi I've got problems running opmanager on a 64 bit windows. most works fine except the business views. With the current release of OpManager (Build 8021) it is impossible to create new Business views (the flash plugin hangs while initializing the new Business view) or add new devices to an existing one (after a click on add device the site has to be reloaded to be responsive again). After the installation on a 32 bit windows, the creation worked, but adding of new Machines doesn't work too. Is there
changing text in trap processor
I want to change message text in trap prpcessor for linkdown trap. I know the way how I can include informations from trap(interface index, type...). But, I want to include interface description, text set with "description" command in cisco routers. I have that information in device page in opmanager(in interfaces). I tried with variables($AgentMO, $SourceMO $IF-SourceMO...) but I cannot find the way for this problem solution. Is anybody who can help ?
Unable to edit/delete credential settings with special character in name
Dear all, I've created a credential with name 'AT&T SNMP' and I cannot edit / delete it. I assume it's because character '&' is not supported (but no check when creating). How can i solve this issue ? thank you, Christophe
Editing UPS Snapshot Dials
Hi, I want to edit the dial graphs in UPS snapshot view, because we use a UPS which has no standard template in OM. I know that I can edit snapshot dials from other categories in /conf/opmanager_snapshot_dial.xml, but the UPS snapshot view is structured in another way than the other snapshots (special "UPS Status" section). My tests to integrate custom monitors as a dial graph (type=number) failed. So, can you tell me, how to configure/change/delete the dial graphs in UPS snapshot view? Best regards
Monitor/Confirm WMI is operational
We have recently experienced an issue in which a server that was previously being monitored successfully with WMI started experiencing issues getting WMI responses. The net affect was that the OPManager kept displaying the last recevied status of those monitors (ie All good). However with WMI no longer working we were not able to identify that services were infact stopped and there was no error to advise of an issue. turning off a windows event log alarm

Notification profile not working with only an event log alarm
Hello, We have a server where we place a notification profile based on when an event in the server's log occurs. The notification profile works when you test it but not when the server experiences the issue. The server does trigger the alarm in OpManager, but the notification profile is not triggered when the event actually occurs. Thanks for any help... LeRoy
Opmanager Panic Attack
Hello, Every so often (its quite random in fact) Opmanager has a panic attack and sends out an alert for every device that it manages/monitors, this is obviously not good and not something we can live with. Has anybody experienced anything similar ?? We are using version 8 Build 8021, no plugins Scott.
[BUG] MS SQL Transactions per second monitor
When you click the link for this monitor the counter for each database is listed for "Today" but if you change that to say last 24 hours the names of the databases for the counters disappears and is replaced with the name of the server for every counter.

We own Licenses for both OpManager and Netflow... Seems that the Netflow plugin should be available to us by default. Who can I contact regarding that option?
mib upload problem
When I try to upload mib from mib browser page in opmanager every time I get error unable to upload mib. Where I made a mistake? When I downloading mibs from internet I save page with mib text to txt or file with mib extension. Another question is: Is the uploading mibs from mib browser page is the same thing as copying mib files to opmanager/mibs folder? Thanks
Applied Latest Update 8022 - Now Interface Stats no longer linked to Netflow? Help!
Dear Support Team, after applying the 8022 Update to Opmanager, to my shock I notice that under interface reports, the link to Netflow has disappeared. This was a great function and very useful to get some quick per-minute traffic stats. However now it seems you have replaced it with the poor looking netflow plugin. The plugin also only shows per-hour stats! So it makes the netflow plugin not very useful. I want my old link to the "top ten sources, applications, destinations, and connections" back!

My problem is it get disconnect with its Mysql database every 2 or 3 days. i mean opmanager services keeps on running but when i enter in the application in the snapshot of the device i see data not available . and it stop collecting traffic and once i restart opmanager service it start wroking well without problem and it repeate the problem again in 2 o 3 days and again i need to restart the services. i have open the ticket
Event rule to device association table?
I've browsed the forums and I was looking for a way to make an event rule apply for more than one server. I was hoping to see it in OpManager 8 since it seems to have been an issue going back a few years, but from the looks of it, the event rule area looks the same. Hi, Is it possible for OpManger to generate an alert if particular event is not found in event log during a given time period? Say for example, the backup job usually completes at 9AM can I set up a rule to alert me if the related entry didn't show in event log by 10AM.
