Trouble loading a DELL-DS2-MIB into OpManager 8050
Hi I'm having trouble loading a dell console switch mib into OpManager 8050 as it appears to be missing a construct definition, but I have no idea which MIB would define the OctetString construct. Any help would be greatly apprecaited. Thank you rob

Upgraded to 8050, now issues
Once I upgraded to 8050 things started going wrong. Among other issues, it appears that now the "Server Availability Distribution" is all over the map. Look at the times at the top of the chart that is attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Error! Displayed in Alarm Escalation
I've e-mailed OpManager support twice about this but had no reply... I was adding a new rule within Alarm Escalation but included a space. I was shown an error telling me to remove special characters, which I did so. On then trying to save the escalation rule a page simply displaying "Error!" was shown. Now this is all I see when I click on Alarm Escalation. What can I do to fix this? Thanks

I have several Cisco access switches that are monitored by Opmanager. Every time a user unplugs their laptop or it gets shut off we get an alert. This is not optimal as we get hundereds of alerts a day. I have read the forums and the solution has been to unmanage the ports. I do not want to do this since I want to continue to gather performance statistics on these ports. I have seen the ability to change the criticality of certain interface rules but I dont want to change the rules for interfaces

Hello, I would like to change and actovate threshold in AD add-on, I have 41 DCs and I cannot find a way to modifiy globally threshold and if I go in each snapshot and i try to modify thrshold, all options are in gray and canot be changed. Service Down notifications
We often get false alarms for service down. Alerts for device down can be modified to only alert after 3 bad responses. It would be extremely helpful to have this same functionality available for service monitors. Has anyone found a way (supported or not) to accomplish this?
Server restart based on a exceded threshold
Hi, I'm monitoring our servers using OP-Manager - latest build. One of the monitors is getting the temperature of the CPU or ambiental temperature. Blackberry Curve 8520 and OpManager build 8050
Hi, I have OpManager build 8050. I tried to connect to it using the Blackberry web browser but, after some time, it says "connection timed out". I am using the LAN IP address of the server and I am connected to the LAN using the WiFi. Does anybody have the same issue? How I can fix it? Thanks, Roberto D.

Hi All, Re: OpManager I have look through the documentation and cannot see this anywhere but what is the definition associated to each of the alarm severity levels? The levels I know about are .... Critical - ? Trouble - A threshold or limit has been exceeded which could indicate an issue. Information purposes only at this stage unless a manual review deems it appropriate to action [This is my definition]. Attention - ? Service Down – The service being monitored is offline and cannot be accessed.
Problem in opening ManageEngine OpManager Console

new interface
Hi all New to Op Manager so forgive any stupidity How can I add a new interface to a device template? I have been able to create a custom monitor from an imported MIB file, but I want to show it as an interface along with the other interfaces that are discovered for the device. Thanks
Adding custom WMI monitor does not work
Hovering over the WMI perfomance counter shows me the current raw value from the exchange server, however when I add the monitor and try to test it, I get The Monitor did not respond to the test request. The specific monitor in question is the PhysicalDisk.AvgDisksecPerRead (any instance). Is this due to the fact that it is a 2008 server. Has anyone gotten this working? Thanks. Rob

Hello, I have a problem with Opmanager 8 build 8050. When I try to make a new Notification Profile Rule in a device (Add Profile > Select a Notification Profile > Define Criteria > Apply this profile during the below mentioned time window), I define From 18:00 To: 8:00 all days, but this rule does't work. Cisco MIBs- how to load?
Hi, I am trying to figure out Cisco's MIB files. They are names with an extension ".my", and they don't look like standard MIBS. I tried to upload one of them to Opmanager but I get an invalid MIB error. Here is an example- I want to load MIBs for my 4402 Wireless Lan Controller, and this is their list of MIBs for it: ftp://ftp-sj.cisco.com/pub/mibs/supportlists/wlc/wlc-supportlist.html Are these regular MIBs that OpManager can import? Problems adding Wan RTT monitors
Hi. I'm triying to add some Wan RTT monitos but i can't, I dont have any message apart from "Error!", no error codes or anything. I've checked the snmp and telnet access to our router and works fine, is not a credential problem and I've been able to add wan RTT monitors before without any problems. Any clues?. I'm using OpManager Pro 8050 over windows 2003 server, the router is a L3 switch (cisco catalyst 3560). Regards.

credentials for asa 5500 series
I can't get the firewall to recognize the credentials im using for the firewall. I select ssh type in the username and password and hit test credentails and it fails. i know i'm using the correct credntials.

Errors Rate in Interface Templates
Hi, I am monitoring some routers and in the interface templates I have setup thresholds value for errros and discards at 5.0 % and rearm value at 4% for both. The ocurence it is setup at 3 times consecitively. Whe I go in the dashboard of an interface on the right side i see a graphic with errors and discards. How to Set Up SNMP on a Windows 2003 Server for DHCP Scope Monitoring
Can anybody provide insight as to how to get this working? I have the SNMP service started and the oputils server is listed in the security tab with the appropriate read only community name. When I try to add the DHCP server in oputils, I get this error: "E2001: No response to SNMP queries" Does the SNMP trap service ont he windows server need to be configure as well? Any documentation or advice you can provide will be helpful. Thank you in advance.

I have many devices i don't want to add this guys email id going to each and every device and adding his email in notification profile Any quicker way i already have network map for this company. i can assign all attention related assign to this person for all device in network map for this company but are memory threshold only attention alert? i don't think so help!

Can't select from list for Wake On Lan in OpUtils 5
I have the trial version of OpUtils 5 and want to add a list of PCs to a WoL schedule. I get the pop up box and click on the PCs I want and then click OK but the PCs never show up in the rule I'm creating. Do I need the full version to add the PCs from a list? I can add the PCs manually, but was hoping to test how easy it was to do a mass WoL setup.

OpManager 7 will not start new install w/ logs
Hello, I cannot get OPManager to start. This is a new install of v7. I was looking through the logs on the server, and it was referencing an active network connection that we do not use for "normal" traffic. Is there a way to specify what network adapter it uses?
