Alarm notification customisation

Hi All,

Some quick background.

We have a number of devices which are being monitored with multiple monitors on each device but the alarm messages we get are confusing.

For example, if a main service fails then we get an email saying the main service and 4 associated (monitored) services are also down. This is great, however bringing the main service back up does not always bring all the associated services back up and the clear message just lists the device name in the message subject and with lots of services listed it is hard to identify which are up or down until we then get an alarm escalation 15 minutes later.

My questions are:

1) Is it possible to get an email alert per service?

2) Is it possible to flag each alarm with a unique ID so they are easier to match quickly in your inbox? I tried to use the $strModTime variable but this does not seem to work as this is the time of the change of severity not the time of the initial alarm.

What my ideal would be is for a message to be formatted like .....

Anyone got any ideas how to do this?
