Backup Opmanager Settings
I want to migrate Opmanager to a new server. I want to backup the settings from the old server, but not all the data. I've used the DB backup utility in Opmanager, but i dont need everything. Is there a way to backup only settings and reload on a new server?
Change port that traps are received on in OpManager 8
I recently had a problem with OpManager and in the end, had to shut it down, repair the DB, start and start it back up. When it started back up, it worked fine except I got this error: Port 162 needed for receiving traps has beed occupied. Please free the port. We only have a trial of opmanager right now, so the other program we are using for network monitoring is currently using port 162, but it can forward the traps to another port. So I am wondering if there is a way to change the port that
No Data Gathered in Availability Report
Hi, Would like to refer a problem we've just encountered in OpManager. Last July 3, 2010 we we're still able to received Availabilty Report for selected devices. But on July 4 and July 5, the report were no longer able to gather availability of these devices. The report was sent with no data in it. Your assistance is very much needed. Thanks in advance.

Refresh interval time on widget
I want to set refresh interval time on all widget now only real time widget can set it I know Opmanager have a CCTV feature but when CCTV change dashboard widget will refresh but the real time widget will clear previous data and start plot graph again. If you can make it the Opmanager dashboard will be perfect dashboard.
Removing a counter from multiple devices
I've never had to do this before, and am slightly nervous to experiment based on the number of devices in our system. We have a counter that stopped working on all of our monitored servers. I've found that removing the counter and then re-adding what appears to be the same thing makes it function correctly. Ignore VLAN interfaces
Is there a way to ignore interface types? I have several VLANs that are being matched as an Ethernet interface at 1gbps so the thresholds alert. I'd like to ignore the VLAN interfaces and just gather data on physical interfaces. For thresholding as well.
OpManager 8.7 - Widgets
Hi, In this new version, the widget "Last Polled Bandwidth Utilization Value" show now in the top menu a new line: "Last polled Bandwith utilization value for (interface_name)". VMWare ESXi monitoring not working
I have some problems with monitoring the VMWare ESXi servers. I did the following things: VMWare Esxi - Enabled SSH - Enabled SNMP + String + Agent started OPManager - Imported the ESXi machine. - Tested SNMP credentials (working ok!) - Tested Login credentials SSH (not working!) - Tested some SNMP monitoring (example: CPU Utilization, not working!) How to ignore offline guest on VMWare
Hi All, Last week I update opmanager service pack 8700 for Virtual Device issue now I have some problem about offline guest on ESX Server. OpManager-8 VoIP Monitor help needed
We have OpManager8 build 8052 and I have some questions regarding VoIP Monitor. I setup some monitors (one through an MPLS network and another via IPSEC tunnel) that work fine but when I configure additional monitors configured the same way for additional MPLS and IPSEC tunnel sits they do not collect data. Whe I click on the "Troubleshoot" link I do see that the SNMP creds and source router are green and successful.

Using HTTPS logins
Am I missing the obvious here? I don't see any discussion on enabling HTTPS logins for OpManager, yet I can't seem to figure out how to do it. Under SDP I'd use the changewebport tool and do port_number https, but this doesn't seem to work with OpManager. The sad thing is I've done it before and forgotten what I did. Quick pointer anyone?

MSSQL 2008 migration

Receiving alarms without monitor
Hi again! I am monitoring some printers. One of them has an alarm message that the toner level is 10% and the threshold value is 15%. The correct statement is that the toner level is 10%. But the threshold for this monitor is set to 5%. Therefore the alarm is wrong. I cleared the alarm. 5 minutes later it came up again. I cleared the alarm again and deleted the monitor. 5 minutes later it came up again. I remember that when I added the device (few months ago) I set up the threshold for the monitor

Ability to enhance message sent in alert
We often alert on errors in the Windows event log. many of the events have very cryptic descriptions and don't provide any information on what needs to be done to address the problem. It would be nice if alerts had a "custom message" field that would alow us to explain to the technician where to go to get information or how to address the problem.
Data for NIC interface are not collected

Opmanager 8.7
I couldn't actually download 8.7 via the upgrade links because the UK/Britain/Great Britain/England is not listed in the country drop down. Undeterred I downloaded it from the trial link and installed it, eager to see the support for vSphere 4. Irritatingly, it has only picked up our 12 vsphere servers as linux boxes, exactly the same as 8.5 did, I've rechecked the community strings are correct, which they are. Any ideas please?
