How to monitor an attached iSCSI volume for availability
We have a RHEL Linux server which is a VM (the VMFS is hosted on a SAN storage device) but the system also uses an iSCSI attached volume from a NAS device for its database. How can we monitor/check the availability/capacity of the iSCSI attached volume from within OpManager.
Feature request: List view for UPS's
Since the list view tab only shows CPU and memory utilization, it's not very useful for UPS devices. Could a list view for UPS's be created that shows %UPS Load and Battery Charge %?
Resend the Alarm notification If it’s not acknowledged.
Hi, I notice the OpManager will not send email notification if it is already sent earlier. Yes, it is okay to avoid sending the same notification many times while we are working on resolving the issue. But what if no one acknowledge the alarm? Suppress Alarm
Hi, I would like to check, is there a way where we can suppress all alarm related to the network interface? I can do this in "notification profile" (to avoid send email on network interface related alarm), but then in OpManager it will still trigger an alarm. Basically, i would like to monitor all the interface in my Cisco switch as i will have an overview on how many interfaces are active and the Rx and Tx status. I want to see discards/errors without seeing up-down events on interfaces. Any ideas?
I have student ports I would like to monitor for errors or discard excessiveness, but don't want events to come through when they connect and disconnect their computers. Will I have to unmanage the ports or remove them and lose everything monitored on them just to stop the updown events? Thanks.

Is it possible to include th elast polled value in the Monitor/Threshold widget in the devide snapsnot? The only way to get the value is to go to edit the threshold.

Device Template For multiple 2003 servers with different thresholds?
Say I have several classes of 2003 application server. Monitors are using WMI. A) Type 1 that needs to say monitor free disk space by GB, threshold of less then 10 gigs. B) Type 2 that needs to monitor disk space by GB, threshold of say less then 50gigs. It would appear you cannot create two device templates using the same OID or name like "Windows 2003". So you make one with a OID "Windows 2003 A" and "Windows 2003 B" but now you cannot apply the profiles to any devices because the list of devices

CPU and Memory Utilization for F5 Big-IP 3600
Hello, Running OPmgr 8721. Trying to get CPU and Memory Utilization for a device running 9.4.6. I have downloaded and loaded the mibs from here: http://www.oidview.com/mibs/3375/md-3375-1.html It is a multiprocessor device. Most of the monitors that were created for the 3600 template work, except for CPU and Memory. This OID for CPU in the template returns nothing: 100-(.1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.1.2.1.42.0*100/.1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.1.2.1.41.0) Likewise for the Memory OID: (.1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.1.2.1.45.0*100)/.1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.1.2.1.44.0

Is it possible to publish a report in html format, say every 5 minutes to an FTP site to be uploaded on a different web server? We have a web facing application utilising around 6 servers, the monitoring is done on a server that is not accessible to the web. We want to be able to provide high level visibility of the servers availability to the board and customers. When I click on the Virtual Devices MAP it shows Error!
Virtual Devices Maps results in Error! So far all the other maps seem to work. Anyone else having this issue? I can find the VM's if I search for them.

I had two problems: 1) I couldn't get the software to run after it was installed as an NT service. Unexpected OpManager Shutdown
Recently our OpManager service shutdown without warning and we went a number of days without even realizing it. OpManager logged the event in the Windows Event Log as: "There were 2 failed launches in a row, each lasting less than 300 seconds. Giving up." WMI is not showing in Credential Library when creating new

Fixing WMI Errors in OpManager
Hi Team, I recently saw a Script in ServiceDesk Plus, which can free up Firewall ports, DCOM , RPC errors in Systems before the systems can be installed with the agent version in SDP ? Is there any chance to incorporate this script in OPManager and when we discover the devices and use the WMI Credential, this Script can be executed and free up the WMI errors. HI, I'm a system admin in an IT software company. Now we using nagios monitoring tool, but it is not enough for our requirement, we need to get syslogs and event logs through a centralized monitoring tool. I downloaded and installed OpManager in a linux box for this purpose and added some systems for monitoring, but it shows only its health like CPU, Memory, HDD, etc. My question is how to do syslogs and event logs through OpManager?

Notification Profiles Triggering stops working AGAIN
Hello, Running Opmgr 8721. Came back after a weekend to find ,yet again, that notification profiles were not working. The Opmgr service was running but no one rec'd alerts. Once I restarted the service, a ton of notifications were sent, all late. Is anyone else having this issue? I see no other solution at this point than to reboot the server every day. Please help! IN IBM-AIX MACHINE COULDN'T GET MEMORY UTILIZATION
In IBM-AIX device, I couldn't get the memory utilization using Host-resource.mib. We have use default SNMP of IBM-AIX. That is to say, we don't use Net-SNMP. In default SNMP, we couldn't get them memory utilization. But we could get the CPU & DISK Utilization. How to solve it? Thank you in advance.

I am OP 6.5 install and run for a while. It work fine with correct SNMP community and cisco 2960 switch. The problem since I monitor 3 days with 5 min snapshot setting for more than 100 devices, the network device monitor data change into N/A instead of correct snapshot data ? I change setting "Admin/SNMP Parameter" into 3 sec time out/5 times retry and won't get snapshot back to work ? Running MiB Browser is work fine ? Disk Used Space 100%
Dear support , I was install Opmanager for monitor server system , when i update to version 8722 , some server of window 2k3 ( only 2 server / 15 server ) with warning Disk Used Space 100% , but in this server it's not . When i click "Real Time" of disk , it's comeback to normal . It's only on version 8722 , in version 8721 not have this problem . Pls fix this problem . Thanks !
Remote monitoring
We currently use OpManager build 8720 to monitor our main network. I have a smaller subnetwork within the main network that routes traffic to different places than our main network does but I can't adequately monitor that traffic because OpManager is on our main network. Are there OpManager agents I could install in the smaller network or is there another solution?
Why can't I change the Category?
Please see the two attachments. Both servers are virtual servers and are both Domain Controllers. The only way that I can get the Active Directory dashboard to display is to set the category to Domain Controller. I was able to do this for one server, but on the 2nd server and other virtual servers I am unable to change the category. Is there another way to display the Active Directory dashboard?

Hello, Are there equivalent tweaks available in Opmanager 8721?
