SQL Services Notify Down when still running.
Hi All We have installed SQL Service monitoring on our servers. OpManager is reporting that the services are down on these, when we log in all the SQL Services are still running. When we look at the report for the service it says that these services have an uptime of 100%, however we get email and sms notifications that they are down. Notification we receive is below MSSQL Server, SQL Server Agent, SQL Browser Services are Down Service Down UnAssigned VirtualDevice Jun 10,2011 10:53:30 AM Any ideas?
Error loading RightFax MIB
Hello, I am attempting to add a MIB to our OpManager installation (Verison 8 Build 8025) and am receving an error: "Error parsing MIB:AVTC.mib Exception while loading MIB:Could not parse the file C:/Program Files/AdventNet/ME/OpManager/./mibs/AVTC.mib. Couldn't resolve these TC constructs : { Integer }" The MIB is for the RightFax application and is attached to this post. Can you assist please? cheers Tim

No monitor with update firmware
Hi i just update firmware of a Fw/router for Netgear FVS338 to the latest 3.0.7, In this Firmware the netgear said that the implement the OID for CPU utilization. I think i got the OId for this but how i do i implemented to the MIB or how do i get it to work i still dont get any Graph for this. Thx very much A.S

Help plz a beginnger in IT, Graph problem
Hi i am a beginner in Network and IT and currently studying the Network systems :D i am tryning to use OP manager to watch over my AP at home but i cant get the graph to come up i have a Netgear AP WG 302 and a Netgear WINAP 350. I have done all the trouble shooting check SNMP on both so its enable and i have open the service for SNMP for my computer. one thing i dont understand is that how to check the MIB browser i am getting OID from the Host resource MIB when i push the get SNMP from the device
clear notification received when alarm was not critical
Hi, I have a notification profile set up to only receive critical severity alerts. I also need to be notify if this critical situation clears. My problem is that if you select the option to be notified if the alarm clears it will notify for every severity. So if a threshold monitor goes to the attention severity I don't receive the alarm. But if the attention severity clears I receive a notification. Is there any way to control this? I would like to be able to be notified only if the same

i had installed OPManager into my desktop, i set for port of locahost is 8080 and i have ceate a rule (on firewall) to allow it. but i still cant openned from my browser (Mozilla), it always said "problem loading page", what should i do?
Increased polling if device is down
Hi everyone, I'm not sure if I'm phrasing this right, so I probably have missed it when I searched. Here's my question. Let's say we're monitoring a device every 5 minutes. Then it goes down for 2 minutes. Op manager is going to record it was down for at most 5 minutes depending on when the last poll was. This doesn't sound like a big deal but it can add up over time. Is there a way for op manager to start polling a device more often when it goes down? Say like every 30 seconds or 1 minute? Then

Max URL string size?
Is there a limit to the size of a URL string that can be used as a monitor. I'm able to paste a long URL into the add monitor dialog and successfully "check" that it works. Test Cridential Ok, but not test monitor
one of my client using OPManager to monitored their server and they asked me to configure it. then i set up the SNMP and WMI on OPManager and the servers. all server was detected by OPManager and then i want find out whether the SNMP and WMI that i configured is working or not and i tested using "test credential" and its working. but an arror occured when i want to configured the utility (CPU, memory, ect) it said like the SNMP is not running . what should i do to fix it ? thanks

Two arrows is added into link on business view, it is little strange. I think it is better to cancel the two arrows, or add a option for user to choose if display the two arrows.

Business View Device Icons changed after change of System Type
Hi I added a new device to the OpManager and insert them to a Business View. I changed the Icon to winxp and circle and saved the business view. Then I saw, that the device has the wrong system type (Windows 7). But the device is a Windows 2008 Server. So I changed the type to Windows 2008. When I now look to the B. V. the Icon has changed and can't see the circle any more (see attachement). That the icon changed to the new type is good, but that the status of the device is overlaped from the icon

Opmanager SMP: CPU utilization show different values using WMI or SNMP?
Hi there, At one of our customers the probe registers different value's for CPU utilization when using WMI and SNMP. Does anyone have an explanation for this? The server is virtualised using VMWare. Although you could say that the snmp graph is for the VMWARE installation and the wmi graph is for the server installation I don't think that could be the case. All hangar6-* switches should be connected to Hangar6 swithch, but Opmanager connect them to coreswitch. Hangar2-2, kitcenter and kitcenter2 should connect hangar02 only, not connect to core switch. 2 servers with identical traffic

Bandwidth Monitor
Hi, I'm testing the OpManager and after discovering my firewall, I edited the interfaces where Internet and MPLS links are connected to set the max bandwidth values(10mbps, 20mbps). On the Interface Screen it shows the right value, but when I add the widget "All Interfaces Bandiwdth Utilization of a Device", it shows the real interface value (104M, 1.048G). Performance Monitor - Router and Switches Interface
I need to activate some more performance monitor on some of our routers and switches that we are currently monitoring. However I need to setup the threshold levels of each or some of the performance monitors options. Do you have a baseline document that can help/guide me in setting out the threshold levels alert and rearm values. Recommended settings for Drop Events Statistics, Oversize Packets, Undersized Packets, Total No. of Collisions and so on. Got a mixture of L2 and L3 Cisco and HP switches
Receive E-mail Notification when an Alarm is Triggered
Is it possible to setup a notification profile, that will e-mail me when an alarm is triggered? I am mainly looking for alerts on Windows Services / Processes. I am currently monitoring ALL of the services that I need to, on all of my servers, however the only way I can see to set up a notification e-mail is to choose all of those services again, one by one, (without the aid of alphabetization) during the notifcation profile setup.
Voip Monitor Reporting Packet Loss
I have added a voip monitor to my opmanager system and it appears to have added the correct information into the router. It is monitoring and reporting all the information but it appers to think there is packet loss on it as well. Packet Loss threshold limit violated ( > 1). Packet Loss for router1 to 11.11.11.11 is 6 That is alerted over and over and they will clear, then alert all over again. The output from the router shows1 packet loss on the ip SLA but a constant ping never drops. Opmanager

credentials not working
I have just installed OpManager. It successfully discovered my devices on my LAN and afterwards I selected the devices I wanted to monitor. All of my devices are listed as unknown, so I go and categorize them in their proper category. The last item to input is the password, so I put the username and password in manually and I have also went to admin and placed them in credential settings.
