OpManager Build 8052 and Internet Explorer 6
Hi All, I have recently updated my OpManager 7 installation to build 8052. Although this is working great with Mozilla Firefox, this is painfully slow when accessed remotely through Microsoft Internet Explorer 6. Does anyone have a fix for this or is anyone else having the same issue? Any information on this will help a lot. Thanks,
OpManager Reporting Interval - can it be adjusted?
Thx for your reading first. the report function of OpManager is an awesome feature. it saves time in my business and help us to make a suitable report for analyzing our databases but we want to know the detail of database more, such as 5mins interval or no longer than that is there a way that I can config the report features to shorten the interval for reports that are longer than 24 hours? When we do a weekly or monthly report all that comes back is a single daily interval. Regards, Nathan

I need to provide a document with all devices in OpManage and what is being monitored. For example, for each device I need server name, IP, what services are set to be monitored, what ports are being monitored, and what thresholds are set. Is there any quick way to do this? Brad

Alarms and notification profiles not being triggered-OpManager 8
Hello, I have a test server setup for monitoring in OpManager 8. I have CLI based monitoring enabled on it as SNMP is not working. I get the CPU/MEMORY/DISK utilization dials and I also have some test service monitors setup. I am using telnet for CLI credentials and I am testing the service monitor for ssh service ( service sshd). OpManager discovers the service, however when I take the service down, it does not update the monitor with "service down" and does not generate an alarm. I do have notification

URL Monitor
Hi, I have an issue monitoring URL: http://cognos/cognos8/ . I have add them on server or in the Admin URL Monitoring page it is the same. The page is AD integrated so I have added a username and password for authentication. I have login on the server where OP-manager is installed with that user and open the pages - all is opening fine. deleted alarms showing up again
Hi, after the upgrade to 8810 we have issue with the alarms. We are receiving alerts and alarms that certain interfaces on certain devices are down , and after clearing, aknowledging or deleting the alarms, they keep showing up. We tried the RepairDB script but no success. Regards,
Datastore data collection not display
Hi there ! After moving my DB from MySQL to MSSQL. i still have an issue : i restored the DB from a ZIP file created before. OpManager is working fine EXCEPT : the datastore data collection is... Custom monitors not updating
Dear OpManager support, We are having problems while adding custom monitors to a modified device template and setting a custom interval to them. They are not updating values in stringdata??_??_???? table. If we add the interval editing device's monitor manually it works correctly, but we have more than 500 devices and we want to change their monitor interval, we need to do it in a batch with the Device Template, but this method doesn't work. Is there any way to do this and get the custom monitors
dashboard widgets not showing all monitored devices as choices
i am trying to create a dashboard with real-time bandwidth monitors for a handful of interfaces on a cisco 4948 switch. the switch does not show up in the list of devices to choose from when i try to configure the widgets. please help.
CPU/MEMORY/Disk Utilization Monitors for Solaris 10 not working
Hello, I have installed net-snmp_5.6.1 on a Solaris 10 server and I have added this server to OpManager for monitoring. However, I dont see the CPU/Memory/Disk utilization dials showing anything. I have tested the SNMP credentials and I can also do snmpget and snmpwalk to the server with results. Could you please help me to figure out what else I need to do to make this work? Thank you.
Crystal reports unknown column error 1054
Hey, we moved our and freshly installed opmanager to another server and restored the database, after this we tried to acces the database with an existing crystal report we received this error. error: Failed to retrieve data from the database. Some doubts\problems regarding UPS and AD
We are in the final process configuring opmanager and some problems/doubts came out. After following the solution http://support.opmanager.com/sd/AddSolution.sd?solID=5702 we were not able to make all the UPS Status values to show up. The UPS load and UPS charge dials that we configured in opmanager_snapshot_dial work perfectly, but all other dials don't dispite being configured (except for the battery health). What is missing? Regarding the AD we couldnt find a way to change the threshold values

I need the raw data out of the db in order to manipulate for reports in excel, word etc. Is there a way to get the data from each poll cycle, say interface PPS for the last 60 days and export it? Thanks, -Tony

The new monitor I created for monitoring memory utilization of my Cisco IDS is not showing any graph. I tried to 'Test Monitor...' but it gives me an error: 'The Monitor did not respond to the test request' My monitor implements the OID: (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.221.1.1.1.1.7*100)/(.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.221.1.1.1.1.7+.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.221.1.1.1.1.8) Both OIDs return some value when I test it with 'ManageEngine MibBrowser'. I created a custom monitor from OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.8 for Cisco IPS CPU utilization. When I add the custom monitor to the Performance Monitors, i get a "Unable to configure Graph".

Hi, We still cannot monitor Alcatel devices. We have two devices : OmniSwitch 9700 and OmniSwitch 6850. I added the MIB files from Alcatel site but no success...I can only see the interfaces but nothing else. I manually added the monitors from the MIB browser but I didn't receive any data. Windows 7 WMI access is denied error
I have a Windows 7 Prof machine that I added to Ops Manager for monitoring. When ever I try to test the credentials, I encounter the following error message. "WMI - Failed" Failure reasons - Access is denied. I have administrative access to the machine. WMI service is already started on the machine. this machine is not in my domain but DMZ segment. the admin account is a local account.
Switch Port Alert Craziness
I have read a couple of other threads from 2006 but haven't been able to find an answer. How does one make it to where Opmanager doesn't let me know everytime a port goes up and down? (this is for the opmanager software....as I do not have it setup to email me or sms me alerts yet.) I am tired of logging into the interface and seeing that the same ports are down...mainly because I don't use them. MS Exchange monitors return no data
I am running OpManager in 30-day trial mode. I get the exptected behaviour from almost all monitors except the Exchange ones. My Exchange server is version 2003, running on Proliant DL380 G4 server. SNMP is enabled, in case you ask.

Can OpManager listen to SNMP traps and poll using multiple interfaces?
Due to our network design I need to have my OpManager box listen to SNMP traps and poll devices on multiple interfaces. Is that possible? I have one network area to monitor and to reach it the traffic needs to go out eth0 and I have a different subnet that needs to be polled and the traps need to be received via eth1. I have recently removed several devices from OpManager as they were not discovered correctly, after deleting them, I can now not re-add them.
