Trap received from a Virtual Machine
Hi guys,
Yesterday we have activated on a VM to send traps from a software to OP-Manager so we can generate alarms.
We have made the rules so we can see a lot of traps in order to define what trap processors we need. Then we will reduce them to only the needed ones.
Other TRAPS are received by OP-Manager from CISCO and NETAPP devices in this period. After 12 hours no TRAPS are listed from this server (VM) in the UNSOLICITED. We are sending the same traps to multiple IP and using "SNMP Trap Watcher" we can see those arriving. I have stoped OP-manager and start "SNMP Trap Watcher" on the same server and traps are being received. After another 12 hours still no TRAPS.
Is there any limitation to receive traps generated by a server managed in OP-Manager as VM? Where can we check why the traps are not visible.
