I have a test server setup for monitoring in OpManager 8. I have CLI based monitoring enabled on it as SNMP is not working. I get the CPU/MEMORY/DISK utilization dials and I also have some test service monitors setup. I am using telnet for CLI credentials and I am testing the service monitor for ssh service ( service sshd). OpManager discovers the service, however when I take the service down, it does not update the monitor with "service down" and does not generate an alarm. I do have notification profile associated to this device.

 

When I do a rediscover manually it updates the service monitor with "service down" however it still does not generate an alarm and thus no email notification. How can i troubleshoot this?
