Invalid charasters in WMI classes list
Hi! I have installed OPManager 8.8811, try&buy license. Database located on a server MSSQL. OS Windows 2008 in Russian language When I try to create a WMI-monitor I see following list:

i will monitor windows XP and windows Vista agent, i use wmi to connect. It test credential passed status but when i monitor didn't work, can't reply back cpu, ram and hdd data. (windows 2003&2008 it's work) plesae help

Historical reports not working
Hello, We have latest OpManager 8011 running on SQL Server 2008 R2. We recently discovered that historical reports are not working. We had a problem with database running out of space, but OpManager did not complain. The problem with database was recovere one week ago, still not even same day data is being reported. Checking the database tables, we see STATSDATA<date>, ElementAvailabilityDaily and Hourly all full of data. Appreciate help on seeing what is wrong. Thank, Jalal

Hi there, I´m running OPmanager 8 and all of a sudden it does not work, can´t log in saying Oops .... run RepairDB.bat to... but that doesnt work either. I´m also running McAfee on all our servers and it seems that the McAfee client is doing something with the OPmanager server... I stop the McAfee, close the server, runs RepairDB.bat, starts the server and it is all working again.. I dont know what to do in the McAfee to go around this, but the investigation continues ;) //Magnus
Network Configuration Management
Hello I have installed the NCM Plugin (trial version) in my Opmanager 8. (build 8811). Installation was OK. I get the "Network Configuration Management" tab on top of OpManager, but when I click it I only get a page saying "[!] Sorry, the page you requested was not found" Any help will be appreciate. Add Bulk
Hi Gabriel, I successfully added monitor on "Add Bulk' and responded on the test. But we encountering problem on the alarm, the threshold that we set on this monitor is already riched but there is no alarm. Please see my attached file. Traceroute from OpManager
Hello, How do I enable traceroute service on OpManager? When I try the traceroute from the GUI, it asks me to specify the traceroute service path in /conf/Ping.Properties file. I have already done that as below, but it still gives me the same message. tracePath=/bin/traceroute Do I need to restart OpManager service after this change?

Dear Team I need to know the list of reports which can be generated out of the box for each module. We can find what can be monitored on most of the module but what reports can be generated is not available unless you install and check yourself. TOP 10 CPU Utilization, Hard disk utilization and Memory Utilization does not appear
HI, I am using 8811 OpsManager. I have 9 domain controllers and one router being monitored. When i look at dashboard , overview,,, i cannot see the any statistics in TOP 10 widgets (memory, cpu). I tried changing setting from top to all devices but nothing showed. When i go to MAPS->DOMAIN CONTROLLERS-> LIST VIEW, then i can see on rights side the utilization statistics bar.Attached is screen shot. Any idea abou this issue? Regards, Abbas

Notifications Not Working

Hi, when i try to configure WAN RTT MONITOR on CIsco router i get this error \ Can anyone help mi with configuration of Cisco to support this feature? Trigger Alarm based on time/weekday
Is it possible to trigger an alarm for a (group) server(s) on a scheduled time/date. We want tot trigger an attention alarm for a group of server on monday. Then another group of servers on the next day etc. Is this possible with opmanager, or do I need to use a workarround? Create events, batchfile etc? Regards Ralph

Remove custom WMI monitors
Simple quesiton, how can I delete completely custom WMI monitors I added in OpManager (build 8720)?. I am only able to remove them from the devices but can't figure out how to remove them from the monitors list under WMI section. Thanks
VER - Switch port mapper slow and sometime doesn't work
Hi, I just installed the OPM 8811. I tried to use the "Switch Port Mapper" feature on several switches. The customer and I found this feature slow and unpredictable. How can I get a simple report showing which alerts are assigned to which devices?
I need to get, for purposes of review, a list or Excel spread sheet showing the device, it's category and which alerts are set on it. We need to review with a group of people and something to use like that would be very helpful.
APC UPS report
Hi. I'm monitoring 8 APC UPS and I created a Business View to agregate all of them. At the List View of this BV, I can only see CPU and Memory %, but I want to see the UPS load listed. If this view cannot be changed, is that any way to create a custom report to show all UPS load and charges at the same report? Thanks. Antonio.

Delayed Email Alerts
Hi, I am just evaluating OpManager and I have setup a few email alerts for various devices but I have realized that I only get the email exactly 1 hour after the alarm was raised. For example, at 1pm yesterday a server went offline while I was working on OpManager and I seen the alert but I only received the email notification at 2pm. When I send a test alert, or even if I send a report via email from OpManager to the same email address, I receive it within 10 seconds. I dont have any email monitoring
Cannot login after Upgrade to build 8810
Hi, I did an upgrade on OpManager from 8050 to 8810 successfully. However once the upgrade completed, I could not login to the webclient. I uninstalled my antivirus and tried restarting Opmanager server again with no luck. When i tried to logint o the stand alone client it gave me an error saying make sure the Opmanager server is running. However when i see it in services. msc in windows i see the service running fine. I later tried stopping and restarting opmanager from the console using ShutdownOpmanager.batvand
Automatic map creation in OpManager 8
Hello, How can I create map of the network being monitored by OpManager 8? I read in the help documentation that I can put a seed device and then it creates the network map according to the seed device. However, I do not see an option in OpManager 8 to specify the seed device. The only option I see is to create the maps manually using the Maps tab--> Add Infrastructure view, Add Business View. Thank you.
CPU Ready report values are different
Hello I am trying to perform some capacity planning, but when I run the reports for CPU usage, I get different values for the same time frame when my report range is inside vs outside the 7 day range. See attached screen shots for more information. Why is it, that on 8/7/2011 at 00:00:00 one average value is 2805ms and the other 241ms?
Anyone Has Any Success Monitoring SuSE x86_64 using SNMP?
Hi all, I have no problem monitoring SuSE i686 machines via SNMP, with all 3 dials showing data. But with SuSE x86_64, I can only get 2 dials (CPU & Memory) data, while Disk Utilization is blank. Just wondering anyone has any success or similar experience. Rgds, -- OpM_support

I try to add a server HQ2 (Windows 2008) into opmanager but it fail as it say it already in HQ1 interface (HQ1 and HQ2 is deifferent server physically). So i delete HQ1 so i could add HQ2. After adding HQ2, im adding back HQ1 but got this problem. What is this? How to solve this....
Problem to add device after upgrade to build 8811
I just upgraded my opmanager to build 8811 few minutes ago but facing problem to add device as the "Add Device" button is unable to click. So I got mad and click rapidly the button until by accident click on far right edge of the button then it works..... tested on Chrome12.0 , IE9
Create a new WMI monitor doesn't show performance counters.
Hello. I can't create a new WMI monitor because I can't select the performance counters and the instances. I follow the instructions of the OpManager User Guide (page 64). I do the points 1 to 8 without problems, but when I select the WMI class nothing happens, I can't select the performance counters and doesn't appear the OK button. I have try it with Firefox and Internet explorer but the situation is the same. I'm using the version 8722 of OpManager, it's the problem?. Thanks for your time.
Outage Duration in Opmanager
Hi... In Opmanager I can see the outage history with start and end of outage, can I get this in duration of minutes. I tried exporting CSV and use difference formular for outage history but its not working
Work around for issue with adding SNMPv3 devices in OpManager.
Currently Running: CentOS 5.6 (Linux) OpManager 8.8 (8811) RAM: 2 GB Sometimes when adding a new SNMPv3 device in OpManager you will notice that it seems to take a very long time to added it, but when you search for the newly added device you will be unable to locate it. The reason is because for some reason in the mysql database the EngineID will report as nothing. The only way I have found to successfully correct this issue issue is to edit OpManager’s MySQL database and restart the service.
