I have OpManager 8 configured to email me when a device I'm monitoring stops responding, and that works perfectly. When I go to the notification profile and tell it to send a test email, the email arrives immediately. I just had our Exchange admin create a distribution list or distribution group so that I can email more than one person when a node goes down, and when I try to email that group from OpManager, the email does not go through, even though it announces that the email was sent successfully.
As a test, the Exchange admin had me try from OpManager a distribution list that has been in place for months, and the results are the same -- the email does not arrive. When I email either distribution list from within Outlook, the email goes through immediately. Our Exchange system is 2010 sp1. Has anyone else seen this issue?
