Launching RESOURCES for template sharing
Hi everybody To make it easier to share templates across ManageEngine customers we have opened up a new portal called RESOURCES. See picture below. If you are using OpManager you can now export your script monitors and workflows as XML and share it with fellow users here. For now the sharing is manual where you have to do the Create new resource, attach xml, and post job. Also the sharing is restricted only to scripts and workflows. (monitoring templates not available now) Going forward when we release
Any way to edit multiple notification profiles?
Hi, I have around 20 notification profiles (SMS) and around 30 devices on them. I want to change the poll from 5 to 3 but the only way i found is with the wizard on admin section, but i need to remove all and add all again, But I have more then 100 devices and have to choose manually from them, now multiply 100x20 and you imagine the trouble in front of me :S thanks in advance. best regards, Nuno Franco

Hi Team, we require option like if any email alert s send it should have URL of the Network Device ( Example: http://172.16.0.1) where we can login directly to the device, is this Option is enabled on Opmanager Build Number : 9000 ? but this option is available after loging into the OPmanager we need that option on EMail alert as well. Switch ports reporting trouble when link up or down
I know there has been a lot of talk regarding this topic but I am still having trouble finding how to do it. My switch ports report "trouble" when the port link goes up or down (IE. someone turns off their computer). for example: Interface 'Ethernet Interface-g19' is down. I still want to monitor that port for critical alerts like this one: Critical Dec 15,2011 12:56:23 PM Interface 'Ethernet Interface-g19' is shutdown. Is it possible to use a csv file to specify multiple ranges for device discovery? My network has multiple subnets with private ip address blocks. It would be great if I can record these ip address blocks in a csv file and automatically run device discovery for every block.

Custom Script monitors in OpManager - Some examples, documentation needed
Hi all. I've been playing around with trying to port some Perl, bash scripts etc. from an old Nagios instance (Which by the way, seems to support custom scripting a heck of a lot better than OpManager from what I can see!) with the intention of decommissioning nagios eventually. So far however, I haven't gotten very far at all, as each time I try a custom script (Perl, PowerShell etc.) I seem to always get some obscure error of one kind or the other. Can you please provide some actual working examples
IP Routing Table
Hi There, We were always able to access the IP Routing Table for a router from Opmanager. In the last few releases including the new one this is not available any more. Is it a configuration problem on my side or has this feature dissapeared from Opmanager? Regards, Rudolf
Threshold Value issue on opmanager
We have added our wireless device on OpManager for monitoring in that we have set threshold value 90% to send alarm and re-alarm value as 85%, but I am getting alert for 30% for same interface Below are the snapshots. I have searched almost all the options but couldn’t find the settings, I am randomly getting similar alarms for few server’s , VM Device’s & Wireless Device’s. Please let me know the solution. I am using opmanager 9 build number 9010. i have added cisco 3560 catalyst switch and enabled snmp on the device. i can verify the snmp credential from device snapshot page. i also verified it from mibrowser.bat under RFC mib sysoid . to make sure i re added performance monitors to the device.but when i edit performance monitor and cilick test monitor. it says "The monitor did not respond to the test request ". Timestamp different
Hi...Having some issues with the Timestamp for the alarms and other things in the system. Opmanager it self shows the correct format "20 Jan 2012, 14 : 48 : 32 CET" but the alarms shows "Jan 20,2012 02:43:55 PM" How can I change the alarm timestamp so it shows the 24 hour time insted of 12 hour?

SNMP Community Name Issue with '%' Symbol
Hi, I have a read-only SNMP community name for a Cisco router and it has a mixture of numbers, letters and symbols in it. OpManager is having a problem with the '%' symbol as it is excepted but then adds a '\' to the community obviously then stopping SNMP from working. I can't change the community name as it isn't managed by myself. Is there anyway around this issue? Thanks. Pete.
How to clear alarms automatically after processing them
Hi I have more than 100 devices in the opmanager 9, each time an alarm is generated, we get an email and one of us troubleshoot the issue and correct the situation. My question is how to configure and allow opmanager 9, after we correcte the situation, to double check that issue and clear that alarm. how to apply windows service monitor to multiple device
I need to monitor the same set of windows services on multiple windows servers. Do I need to manually setup each server one by one? Or is there a way to apply this to multiple windows server in one shot? I have a large number of servers. Therefore, manually change each one by one is problematic.
Question about the dell server temperature displays
Is it possible to change the label of the instance field to something like Ambient air or CPU instead of the .1.1 or .1.2? Also the monitor shows it in Tenths of a Degree Centigrade for example 434 instead of 43.4 C is there a way to put the . to limit confusion? I know that Dell OpenManage shows the temps as 43.4. Many years ago you use to be able to do custom graphs by adding the code to the xml file.
How to setup a notification profile for disk utilization profile
Hello, I have about 100 servers that I need to add an email alert for disk utilization thresholds. How can I apply a notification profile to all 100 servers without having to go through all of them? When I go to associate for the email notification profile, the only option for threshold is for all thresholds. Is there a way to do this in bulk so I dont have go through each device individually?

No graph CPU Utilization on the Linux Redhat
There is no graph CPU Utilization generated when monitoring. Both SNMP Agent from AdventNet and CLI failed the testing. When I test for Disk and Memory it also passed. What seem to be the problem. It cannot generate the necessary graph and data. Please help. thank you.. ffatullah

lsass.exe - CPU runing at 100%
Running Opmanger on a VM windows 2008 with 2 cpu with 8 GB RAM, still Opmanager is using the lsass.exe windows process at 100%. I think it has something to do with Opmanger is polling every x minutes because lsass.exe is the Local Security Autority. Anyone else?
Total page counts for monthly reports
Part of a maintenance contract we have on our printers requires a monthly report of total pages printed over the previous month. We cannot find a way to pull this information in an OpManager report. The SNMP polling is working and it is pulling page counts because we do see snapshots of pages printed throughout the day but no where can I find a way to pull total pages for the month or just total pages period and we can subtract from total of the previous month. Mainly using HP Laserjets.
