URL monitor for FTP site
I'm trying to set up a URL monitor a ftp site. If I use a browser and go to a location of ftp://domain\username:password@ftp.mysite.com I am able to go in, but when I put the path into opmanger, it fails on the domain\username issue because it has a \ and it also fails on the @ symbol in the name. Is there any way to get around this, or a patch made so that i can monitor a URL this way? Copying a device template
We want to copy the Windows Server 2008 R2 device template to use for a set of servers that have different monitoring values. When we copy it asks for the oid. I did a query and selected one of the servers and that seemed to work fine but when I go to add a new monitor I do not see any of the HOST-RESOURCES monitor for snmp. If i go ahead and add the new one it removes the other 4 I had setup previously, probably because they are not in the list with the new template. Any suggestions?

Problem Occurred While Updating Workflow
I have a workflow that executes a windows script that reboots a PC when a certain process is killed (reboot PC does not work since there will always be a user logged on who has actually killed the process). This was working fine yesterday when I deployed it to one test machine. This morning however when I tried to add more devices, when I clicked Save & Finish I received "Problem Occured While Updating Workflow". OpManager WMI inconstancies
I recently switched out all my monitors for all of my VM's to make use of WMI for the Windows machines. Since then I have been picking up some strange data. Firstly - the poll interval on all the machines is set to 15 minutes (default) but yet I seem to get alerts at very random (sometimes less than 15 minute) intervals. opmanager doesn't show traps for certain servers
hello, I'm facing the following issue. Traps are correctly sent to OpManager server, I can see them by using both Wireshark and the trap viewer embedded in OpManager, but they simply don't show up in the db and consequently in the OpManager interface. How can I proceed further? I guess there's some kind of issue in the Trap Processor but I don't know exactly how to troubleshoot this. Hi I have a device template in which I have defined a threshold for the Free Disk Space in MB monitor. This threshold is appropriate for most drives, however for some drives it needs to be changed. From what I can tell I need to change it for each drive monitor individually which is not exactly ideal, but it works. Hi, We're doing a test with Telco customer. They have a custom build application which will send private enterprise Trap when any problem detected. Unfortunately OpManager didn't capture the Trap. Why does this Ironport MIB not work in OpManager?
I'm trying to monitor an Ironport security device in OpManager 7.1, and have downloaded the latest MIB but it will not open in OpManger of the stand-alone MIB browser, giving an error saying it could not parse the file with an error at line 7 column 40 I've spoken to Ironport support and they assure me that the problem myust lie with OpManager as they can open it fine in several other monitoring solutions. Opmanager stops working from time to time
Hello Is there anyone that have similar problems ? Opmanager stops graphing from time ti time and only restart helps to mage graphs again working. There is nothing in logs - and for now we need to use opennms that is monitor opmanager - is it still working. Thanks Pawel

Widget : missing device - Last N hours traffic
Hello, Few of my devices (firewalls, servers, ...) are missing in the drop-down list when I want to add a widget "Last N hours traffic" in a CCTV dashboard. I have 2 fortigate firewalls configured the same way (fortigate, snmp v1). In SNAPSHOT page : both show interfaces, RX/TX, ... values (interface tab). But only 1 appear in the drop down list of CCTV Dashboard WIDGETS. 1 firewall device appears in widget but not the other: The missing one in Wigdets is this one : I already have restarted OPManager

Hi, We're using opmanager v9200. If I open up the editor 'Edit Criteria for Profile ...' and want to select an option like "When any ... URL is down" the application says: No URL monitors have been added for this device. If I try to the option "When any ... Windows Service is down" I get an unusable list of windows services that aren't being monitored on the device. I won't get the same error message like above: No URL monitors.... OpManager - Many False Positive Alerts and Delayed Positive Alerts
We have been demoing out OpManager 9 for the last couple weeks and the setup looks ok. However, I frequently receive SMS messages (sometimes 30 at a time) that state: Attention - Host name Message: Device not responding: Probably down or busy Device - Host name Category - server/router/etc. Error Condition: Attention If I check the status of these hosts, even immediately after receiving these alerts, I can ping, SMB, RDP or SSH these devices just fine. Stuck in maintenance mode
I set a downtime schedule a couple days ago for some maintenance we had to do on a group of servers in the Downtime Scheduler. After the maintenance window closed, I deleted the schedule so no one would enable it later. I discovered later that the servers that were listed in the schedule are still showing "On maintenance" and the Service and Windows Service Monitors are listed as down. I removed and re-added the monitors and did a rediscover/update status, but it still shows as "on maintenance".
