Feature Request for URL monitor
Is it possible to have a report about the availability of the URLs being monitored especially in the Report Tab?
Problem with Traffic Monitors and HP switches
We have installed OpManager build 6011 and we have found out that the Traffic Monitors does not work with our switches. When we test these monitors, OpManager says: "The Monitor did not respond to the test request". We have tried the SNMP Timeout fix but it still does not work. We used the mib browser with the OID of these monitors, and the switches return the appropriate info. The SNMP communities are OK, because all the other monitors are working. Our switches are HP Procurve 4108gl, 2650 and 2626.
I can't view graph with SSH root account, user account work
Hi all, I use OpManager, when I want to see i.e. Memory utilization graph and I use Telnet/SSH account with right password - I can't see anything. When I use user account - I can see Mem. util. graph without problems. But CPU I can not see in bots cases, same as any information about HDD. Milan
Opmanager engine doesn't start
Hello, After installing SP1 and last Hotfix, ManagerEngine OpManager doesn't start, with an error 1075 (see screenshot attached) OpManager is installed on Windows 2003 server Any idea ? Thanks
trace route time out period
for some nodes we are getting time out exception for trace route operation. Can we increase the time out period? Is the trace route operation code is open source?
Error starting Opmanager from Linux Console
Hey All, I'm having a problem when trying to start Opmanager via the Linux Command prompt without X. I am running all the required libraries but can't seem to get it running without using X. login without user/password
We need to use Opmanager interface without use user/password, is it possible?. Could we deactivate user/password use? Thanks

force delta calculations for a non-counter32 type OID
Is there a way to force the polling of an OID for a customGraph to do a delta calculation, even if the OID type is not counter32? Setting <saveAbsolutes>false</saveAbsolutes> does not seem to be enough.
Agent on Debian firewall
I am running the following linux distribution on my machine: Debian firewall I have installed OpManager on the other machine and wish to configure SNMP Agent on this machine. do I need to download new version of SNMP or not. Running OpMgr, ServiceDesk and DeviceExpert on a single host
Folks, I've been tesing the apps I am interestedin, namely OpManager, ServiceDeskPlus and DeviceExpert, one by one. Now I am trying to run all of them on a single machine, and that's where I ran into a large number of problems. First, it looks like each of the apps contains a copy of httpd, tomcat, and mysql. Second, all of the apps seem to run off of the same port :8080, Third, mysql would not run if there is another version is already installed on the system. The rest of the problems I related

Device Association to Notification Profile - not retained!
Since recently upgrading from (6002?) to 6011, the way that notification profiles and device associations have changed. When i edit my email notifcation profiles; it does not reatin the Criteria of the profile. i.e. each time i edit, i have to retick the desired criteria boxes. And then on the next screen, where you assocaite the devices, all devices show in the 'not assigned' column! It does not retain the selected devices. This used to work find, i could take devices in and out of the profile.

I've tried it, but it doesn't work for me in new 6011 version. It worked before. prevent desktop and switch alarms
In the MSP edition, is it possible to prevent alarms occuring when a desktop is down? Also, I would like not to recieve alarms when a port is down on a switch. Is that possible?
OpManager is not starting
Dear Freinds, I am new to OpManager. I install OpManager on my linux machine successfully. Now when i try to run script to start OpManager a mesg appears "Failed to establish connection with web server. Gracefully shutting down OpManager" and it shutsown OpManager. Also i want to know how we monitor servers and how to add machines to opmanager for monitoring. Please reply soon...... Regards
Making sense of trap messages
I have loaded the vendors trap mib and OpManager shows them under SNMP Traps but when a trap come in all I get is the follow... iperiaAlarmWarningApp is received from x.x.xxx.xx with the following related information : sysUpTime: 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0 seconds. , .1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.0: .1.3.6.1.4.1.4016.3.3.0.3, .1.3.6.1.4.1.4016.3.3.100.1: 7000, .1.3.6.1.4.1.4016.3.3.100.2: soft As you can see this tells me nothing, is there a way to increase the length of a trap message that is displayed and why

OpManager Support Tab delay annoyance
Whenever the "Support Tab" is clicked on the OpManager MSP Central Server, there is quite a lengthy delay (several minutes) before the page is displayed. I did a little network snooping and determined that the problem is caused by the OpManager server trying to connect to the nonexistent private address 192.168.4.158 on port 80. Once that times-out and fails, then the page is rendered. I'm not sure what is causing this be behavior. This is not a big deal, but quite annoying. Anyone got any clues

Customising New Device Types

Missing Event Log Rules
Hi, I installed a new probe (number 12 or so) and added about 80 Windows servers. Adding WMI monitors works fine so Windows Admin account and password are correct. When I try to add Event Log Rules I get Configure Event Log Rules screen with only System field with Netlogon in it, and Directory Service field with some NTDS rules. There are no DNS, Application Rules. Does anyone have an idea. This is the first probe with this kind of problem. This problem is the same for all servers on this probe.
Interface polling
Hi all, Using MSP, for reference. When a server has two or more interfaces, how is the polling done on them? Does a ping request go to each of their ips? Is it possible to permanently assign a second ip to the server for polling so that in case it is unavailable (nic disabled, cable unplugged, ip changed, etc), an alert is generated just for that interface? We will have some customers who only wish to have a few servers monitored, but may have several hundred devices on their network, we don't want OpManager to auto populate the system with all these devices, as manually deleting or un-managing them would be painstaking. Discovery Disallow Criteria Question
Ive got a quick question about the seed.file. In out stores we have different computers that we dont want discovered, and they are always IPs ending in .50, .51., and .52. Im trying to get the discovery part to ignore those but I cant seem to get it to work. Unable to monitor AD part
Hello, I'm finishing to build the pilot for our monitoring project and I added AD monitor part. Opmanager is unable to get any information using AD monitor part. I did the recommandation provided by microsoft wmiadap.exe /f, I'm using an account with Domain Admin rights but still to have N/A for every thing and addtional monitors didn't showed something. capable of processing IPMI SNMP V1 traps
I have a Sun Fire x4100 box which sends IPMI SNMP V1 traps out the ILOM (mtce) ethernet port. Is there a way to process these traps nicely in OpManager? The traps follow the IPMI spec. (PETs) so it is nothing SUN specific.
Difference between MIB browser and received trap

Unable to open web client in linux
I have installed Opmanager on linux platform {Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS release 3 (Taroon)}. I am logged in as root and execute StartOpManagerServer.sh file to start the server. Then I execute StartOpManagerClient.sh to start the client. Instead of getting the web client login page(refer to figure 1) I get MapMaker login pop up window (refer to figure 2). When I give the user name and password (both admin) in the pop up window, I am navigated to a new page (refer to figure 3) whereas what I want
Hotfix 6011 and server service response times
Since hotfix 6011 was applied all of our server service response times are consistantly higer. All services are in the 150-300ms range when they were averaging 10-20ms before the hotfix was applied. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Tack directory usage
Hi, Currently, we use "Directory Sizer" (www.franzo.com/dirsizer2/) to track directory usage on our file servers. It is like partition monitoring in OpManager but you can go down several level (configurable) of sub-folder through a web interface and see the evolution, so you can easily find where data has been added or deleted. This product isn't maintained anymore... It would be nice to have a such feature in OpManager Regards, DPE

Question about Run Program piece of Notifications
I have a setup a Notification profile to run a program if memory utilization gets too high on a server. The user guide doesn't seem to say whether the program is run on the monitored machine or on the system running OpManager. I have the command shown as: "c:\windows\batch\RestartLZ.cmd" I know the system has met the criteria to run this program because I have an email notification set for the exact same threshold violation and that is working. Am I doing something totally wrong?
