1st Time Install
Hey Guys, I have jsut installed opmanger 7 . the install completed ok, but the first time i try to login with the defult username; admin and password: admin it tells me incorrect username and/or password? The install went ok, nothing failed. I have set it up using MSSQL and i already have servicedesk running on the sameserver. Any ideas? i am based in australia nd have tried to call their 24 x 5 support desk, but it is closed and i get no answer!! sure its 24 hrs?? Thanks Scotty

SMS-Function is useless like this!

It�s very important that when something is wrong with our network, we get a message as soon as possible! Adventnet OpManager 7.1 has a cool feature which sends an SMS in a case of an emergency. service monitor alarms
since opmanager 7.1 there are no alarms generated when a service monitor is down. e.g.: " Service Monitors 1/3 monitors down." (ftp down) but on the same device (server) "Currently there are no open Alarms." and the same on alarm list and no notification via email profile.

HTTP Status 500 on graphical Monitors "Trouble Shooting
We are using OpManager 7102. On the device details page we got a HTTP Status 500 - Internal Server Error when we click on troubleshooting under the graphical monitors. Hi, I have any Server (or other device) in my OpManager and I want to change IP address for it without delete this server. how can I change IP address for added server ? If I change IP address of the server in "Device Details" menu it is not correct. (are not working Ping from "Action"/ pinging old addres). Slava.
configuring opmanager to handle cisco ips snmp traps
Hi, I am new to opmanager. i am having problems in configuring to work w Cisco IPS. My intention is to send snmp traps from cisco IPS to opmanager. i have sniffed and verified that the opmanager's server is receiving the traps. i have configured opmanager to send email when traps are received from this host(ips), however, i am not receiving any emails. i have tested the email, no problems in receiving test emails. i had read, and it seems that i need import MIB files in to Opmanager in order to work.
OpManager Run System Command issue
Hello, I am using OpManager build 7102 on Windows 2003 Server. I am trying to run a system command that craetes an sends an SMS through a gateway (in Australia it is not so easy to get email to SMS). The command works properly but the alert message from OpManager does not come through to the command line as documented. This means we don't know why OpManager is sending the SMS. troubles with Exchange 2007 server monitoring
Hello, We have troubles with monitoring Exchange 2007 server. Can you please explain, how it works ? Which protocols are OpManager used ? SNMP ? How should we configure SNMP ? SNMP service was installed later than exchange 2007. We have the latest build (7102) of OpManager. At the moment we don't see any values on Exchange Dashboard. All values are N/A. How to fix that ? Down Services Not Creating Alerts?
I just installed the trial edition of OpManager on a small network with 4 Linux servers and 2 windows servers. I created an Email and SMS alert profile, applied it to all servers. I also added a couple of URL monitors and these seem to work and send an email when the site is down. However, if I take down a service on a server (mysql for instance), it will show up as being down in the OpManager interface, but it does not show up as a Down Service on the OpManager Home Page Summary, nor is an alert

Increase Detailed statistics size
Hi, We are using the demo version of OpManager 7 and we need to increase the Detailed statistics size to two months. The maximum size is 15 days and is not enough. We have plenty of disk space so that will not be an issue. Is there a way to force OpManager to accept a large amount? I tried to edit a XML file but OpManager is not able to start correctly. I get a login screen but after the login my browser is trying to connect without success. Regards, Rogier

Shortcut: Apply a template to job from requests screen
I would like to be able to TICK a request, and then press "Apply Template", from the main Requests screen. This will save a MASSIVE amount of time on all requests. When you click "Apply Template", SDP should open the job in the EDIT screen, and PRE-LOAD the template you have selected. Suggest using a popup screen to list your templates, from the main menu. I would suggest put this new button next to MERGE, or next to ASSIGN TECHNICIAN somewhere in main screen :) EXAMPLE IMAGE BELOW -------------------

Business View icon text
The business view feature is great, but is it possible to remove the text from under the icons? We are finding it hard to organize our objects onto the map with such gaps between the dot and text, and a lot of icons end up overlapping. We are looking to use OpManager in an isolated lab network and this business view will be a map of our lab for quick reference as to what machine is down. Thanks in advance-
Server status without ping
Hi: We are currently using opmanager free edition build 6003. We are monitoring some server located on different net segments. One of the segment is behind a firewall and the ping port is locked. Does anyone know another form to activate( or inactivate) the server status ? I include some other monitors then I can use them to determine the server availability. Thanks Mega
Custom Event Log Rules
Hi everyone, I am trying to setup custom event logs for a server and its not working. I have set a specific alert for failed power supplies, event id 1125. I am not receiving any notifications when I perform a manual power supply failure on the redundant power supply units. However, when I enable All system event errors default configuration it polls all error alerts. I can confirm that I have all security credentials setup correctly as the default 'All System Errors' event log rule is working fine.
Disk Utilization per volume

Is there a way by which we can consolidate reports in opmanager. Now in this we have separate Tx and Rx Util, and we want them added up to give the total util of the int. Additionally, we would like to customize reports the way we like the reports to be. Is that possible?
Server object problem
Hello All, Recently, the infra-estructure Server map multiplied the device objects according with the service found in that server. E.g, a server that have FTP, SMTP and Telnet services now display 4 objects... the real server plus 3 with the name in the following format: <server name>_Telnet_23. OpManager 7 install did not install OpenService service
I've just installed OpManager 7 as a trial version, but it will not start. The first error was that Port 80 was taken, and to run ChangeWebServerPort.bat, which I did. The port changed to 9090. Now the eventlog error shows Event ID 100, OpenService failed - the specified service does not exist as an installed service. I have confirmed that this service does not exist.
