Import a Opmanager 7 database to opmanager version 8
Hi, We are trying to export the database from version 7 to version 8, but when we import into opmanager 8, doesnt appear any error, but doesnt work, do you know if we need to do any migrtion process ?? Regards, Diego diegotam@gmail.com

With the old version 7 ( free version opmanager) The status for RAM, CPU and Disk monitors were OK. But Now whit the new version 8 (professional licence) I dont see the RAM monitor please view the following image: 2.- , I do not know that I must put in the field of commandpromt, please check the following image: When a telnet connections is open in my as400 , the prompt command is teh following screen ( logon screen)
feature request - performance monitoring of custom applications
hi my company runs the biggest online retail website and travel portal in south africa and i would like to monitor the performance of this application this app (including many other internal apps and a few external apps) do publish performance information to WMI and i wouldd like to see a feature implemented in opmanager where i can(like with the CIM studio) browse the WMI tree and tell opmanager what to monitor and how to monitor it, reporting on it as well..(almost like the mib browser) MS
Utilization not perfectly shown
Dear Team, Please find attached the screenshots of the problems faced. The issue is i can see the rx & tx traffic when i click on the device but when i go ahead & click on the interface which is showing the utilization there is no traffic shown in any of the graphs. Custom SNMP Monitor behaviors
1. It would be nice to be able to EDIT a custom SNMP monitor once added. Right now, once added, you must delete it and then re-add it -- very cumbersome. 2. There is no way to view customer SNMP monitors other than going through the Device Template area or Performance Monitors area on a device. There should be a link under "Admin" to view/edit Custom SNMP monitors 3. Issue with Drive Space Report Scheduling since upgrading to latest hotfix report format is all over the place and does not show graphical bars
Since recently upgrading to the latest hotfix of opmanger the scheduling reports format has gone all over the place. I believe this is since putting back the graphical bars in the report as requested by myself. Please could you fix this isssue asap please. I believe it is probably just resending an up to date version of the schedulereport classes.
Opmanager interface status alerts
I am trying to manage a routers inteface which is a isdn and would like a alert of when this interface comes online. There is a operational status which says dormant I would like to get a alert of when this becomes up. Is it possible in anyway to configure opmanager to do this. The alert would be by an email. Help or advice would be appreciated.
Shortcut Errors in Biz Views
Whenever I create a business view (view 1) with a link and shortcut to a 2nd BV (view 2) when a link and shortcut back to view 1 is created the icons for those shortcuts on both business views eventually turn red. Fortunately I don't get an alarm but it would be very useful to have the ability to create shortcut arrangements like this without them turning red. Is this easy to fix? Thanks.
Windows service monitor reports
I have reports running fine for services (web, ftp etc) but i would liek to be able to generate reports for windows Services as well ( Microsoft Exchange MTA Stacks, Microsoft Exchange System Attendant, etc) is their a way to do this??

OP Manager Languages
Hi everyone, I know when you initially install OP Manager you can chose the language. However after it's installed, is there anyway to select the language, or have language preferences? Like in service desk you can click "Personalize" and select your language. Op Manager doesn't have that option under "Personalize". Credential Problem and Feature Request - HELP
How about under quick configuration wizard adding: Remove Performance monitors to several devices(SNMP, WMI and CLI) Remove credential from devices As for the credential problem - I don't know for sure but either one of our domain admins changed the OpManager windows password (unlikely) or the credentials defined in OpManager became corrupt and we have a log analysis tool that began reporting/alarming on failed logon attempts to various windows servers so rather than going through each server individually

Exchange Mailbox / Public Folder Size Monitoring
We are in the process of setting up Exchange monitors using OpManager, Build 7205. In setting up our backend servers to be monitored (the servers that house our mailbox stores and public folder stores) I don't see any options for monitoring the size of specific mailboxes or specific public folders. Is this something that the Exchange monitoring add-on provides? I've tried searching through the OpManager forums regarding mailbox size and public folder size but haven't seen very much on this topic
Performance Monitors for F5 LTM 1500
I've created a F5 BigIP LTM Device in OpManager and was able to get it added as a device. I'm trying to configure Performance Monitors so that I can make use of the MIB provided by F5. However, it appears that none of the Monitors are able to retrieve data. Response Time Calculations - seem high
Could someone please explain how the Repsonse times are calculated for network devices in OpManager as it seems that the Response Times for all devices in our Enterprise are longer than reported in other monitoring systems we use including ping. Thanks.
Error msg when adding device.
When adding device to Opmanger 8. It picks up the devices name and type. When you press continue to edit the device I receive this message below. Status Message Unable to find the object : 10.40.0.1When I do a search on the device it does not exist. I need to monitor these IPs for vlan information. Please help me in this matter. I had no problem monitoring these devices in opmanager 6.
IP Address revert back to old IP
Hi everyone, I am encountering a problem with Editing of IP. When I change the IP address of a current router which I am monitoring to a new IP and saved it, it will revert back to the old IP after 1 day. Anyone have any idea why? Using OpManager Professional Edition build 7205 Thanks in advance.

Event Log Rules / Event Viewer
We have version eight and are attempting to use the event log rules to close out false positive critical alerts (eg: master browser elections, etc) however every time we enter these rules in with the order to dismiss the event, it doesn't take. The error continues to flag as a critical on the server. Is there documentation on this server (we may be doing it incorrectly) or is this a known bug?

Monitoring Citrix Licenses
I was trying to monitor our citrix license use with OpManager. This would be a great thing for us to consider buying this product. As most I've tried loading the delivered mib with no success. Server name and time period in Custom reports + Scheduling of custom reports
Hi... tried searching in the forum to make sure that this is not a repeated post... apologies in advance 1) When i make custom performance reports for a particular server i dont get Server name and time period after exporting to PDF. I am using acrobat writer to insert the required details 2) Moreover i cannot schedule custom reports...... Error on switch page and question on backup
When I am accessing the switch page I get this error "Stop running this script? A Script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive." I did not get this error when I first started out with only 10 switches. But I now have 50+ switches and will be adding more. utilizing custom mibs not working
Hi There, I am attempting to use custom mibs to monitor a specific system. Here is what i did: 1. I went to "admin" -> "mib browser" uploaded the mibs 2. went to "snmp traps" and added the mib am i missing anything in this setup? How does the application know to use my custom MIB to monitor this specific machine?

Interface Bandwidth
I have a wireless device running a Lunix kernal and the interfaces come accross as 10Mps, The device is a Wireless G device and I belive the interfaces should be 100 Mps. When I am downloading something I get these trigers Port eth0 is over utilized. Current IN traffic is 3.448 Mbps(34.49%) and OUT traffic is 68.433 kbps(0.68%), whereas configured threshold is 30% . Port description is 'eth0' and index is 12. Can I change the interface type or change the threshold so this does not triger??
Feature request: Views that can include URL Monitors as links
If there isn't a convenient way to include URL monitors in a view please consider, for a future OpManager update, allowing a URL to be monitored in a business view as a link or unique object. Also, having URLs defined in a URL infrastructure view could be useful.
Netware and VMWare monitoring
Apologies if this is a duplicate, my browser was acting all hinky when submitting this yesterday, and I wasn't certain that this was submitted correctly. I have recently installed Opmanager and patched to 8006, but I was still unable to add disk monitors to a Netware server, which is listed as fixed in the patch notes. Alarms Process Monitor
Hi All, While monitoring an Exchange server on processes something happend and all the processes went down. We got an alarm from all the processes that went down but after the Exchange server was up and running again no alarms that were previously there could be found. Were they automatically cleared? The rearm value is left blanc. How can I prevent this in the future?

Error adding device to opmanager get error msg
I am having issue with adding devices for monitoring. I get a message of Status Message Unable to find the object : 10.40.0.1. It was able to pull the device and type. Is there a way to fix this I need to monitor these devices. The devices is are for vlan monitoring if this help.
