Help Installing Probe in Windows 2008 with ISA server
I am having all sorts of problems with the probe installed in Windows 2008 server. The 2008 server has only iis and the firewall client. After installation I can't open the web client locally. I can't find any information other than the tcp ports the probe and central use. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
BlacBerry SNMP Monitoring
Hi, I added the BlackBerryServer.mib to the MIB Browser, and I added the dispConfigLicenceRemaining object to a device template and a monitor. In the MIB Browser, the object will report the correct value if I point it at the server and click Get Next, but if I click Get, I just get this error: Request failed or timed out. CCTV view for Operators
Is it possible for operators with read-only rights to have a cctv view. We have business view set up for them, but it would be nice to have a cctv view that cycles through all of the dashboards we want them to see.

Installation of OPManager with SQL2005 database
Trying to install Opmanager onto a server with SQL2005 , Opmanager will NOT install as it says it connot connect. I have created an sa equiv account , even created the database and made sure the sa equiv is the owner then put those detail into the install part of Opmanager. It tells me it cannot connect and to install MySQL instead !!!. I cannot find any information on how to install with SQL2005 for this product, can some one help please ? Scott
Purchased/Using OpManager 6 - Licensed to Use 8.0?
Hello, We purchased and are currently using OpManager 6 with AD, Exchange and SQL plugins. Are we licensed to use 8.0? I wasn't happy with some of 7.0 functionality and have been waiting for the next release. At this point, I wouldn't upgrade. I would start with a fresh install of 8.0. Thanks, Dave
Creating - Editing trap processors
Hello, I am attempting to set up trap processors for our Liebert UPS. We are trying to log when our UPS go into test state as well as a few other states. The MIBs are loaded and working fine to pull data, such as UPS load, from the devices. I have attempted to create custom trap processors in addition to trap processors from MIBs. How to delete default Opmanager Device templates?
I am finding 2 default Liebert Device templates w/ nearly the same System OID (slight difference).. when I try to add custom monitors to one of them from a Liebert supplied MIB, Opmanager UI hangs on an ADD function in URI, w/ status none bottom left. I have to relogin to Opmanager, and go back to templates, but I find my changes are not saved. I can successfully add and modify other templates and devices so I suspect something wrong w/ the 2 Liebert templates.. there is no way to delete in
Device Shows Alerts but I find no problems
Many of my devices show a yellow exclamation marker next to it, yet when I go to the SNAPSHOT view, I see no problems. Why are some of them marked with a alerts when there are no Alarms and all data is being captured. Additionally, how can I get OpManager to not show a problem when I have a VMware VM turned off. If I need to be alerted of a problem for a machine, I will add it to be monitored. Thanks, Bryan

device dependencies
I can't seem to find this in the manual, nor in the forums here.. so I'll just ask.. Suppose I have 20 servers all attached to a switch which is itself attached to a router; and that switch goes down. Providing that the switch is "pingable", how can I tell OpManager that those 20 servers are behind/dependent on the switch and NOT give me 21 alerts (20 servers + 1 switch), but only the ONE alert that counts (the router being down). You should be able to define multiple time periods when a notification profile is applied. Currently it is not possible to define easily that a profile is applied night time during week days and the whole weekend, i.e., Mon-Fri between 1700-0900 and from Fri 1700 to Mon 0900.

Hi everyone, I know that OpManager can chart the STP state of ports on a switch, however what would be far more useful would be to map an overview of STP(or RSTP/MSTP) on the network (display which ports are blocking and which are forwarding and if there are any loops). Opmanager 9 unable to parse syslogs.
We are using Opmanager 9 and have a syslog-ng setup to forward to our opmanager installation. When in the admin, syslog rules, tab we have setup an alarm. We can watch the logs being received though the "Syslogviewer" action. However nothing is sent to the alert that works for everything else. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
after SQL conversion Opmgr service stops
I just converted Opmgr from Mysql to SQL. After the conversion the Opmgr service doesn't start automatically. If I start it manually then try to logon to Opmgr I get 500 Internal Server error and the service stops. The conversion process seemed to go OK. However during the DB restore there were some warnings, but no errors. At the end the restore reported that it completed successfully. We're running Opmgr 8020 on Windows 2003 SP2 English. I'm getting this error when trying to start Opmanager. I already check the lib files & they are OK. What else could it be. No changes were made & it just stopped working. Already restarted & no go either.

disk usage of windows mount point
I have not been successful in monitoring a windows disk that is mounted to the file system. It sees all the drives that have letters, but it will not see the ones setup for a mount point. Is there and option to do this or can I add a WMI monitor that would allow for this?
OpManager 8 Lost Network Connectivity

Hi The server that we have MSP Probe running on did an automatic restart after installing an IE7 update. Since then it is no longer working. Can't Rediscover interfaces
Hi everyone, We're using Opmanager 8021 and monitoring a lot of devices. All are well except for one. We have a server that has two network cards, on two different subnets. Op Manager can detect one card, but no information on it. The other is undetectable, even though the two subnets CAN communicate with each other. If I try to run the the interface tab, it immediately comes back and says " Unable to rediscover the interfaces." When I run the test credentials, both WMI and SNMP respond with "Passed".

Hello, I'm trying to find an alternative to Solarwinds products. I have seen ManageEngine product and in particular OpManager and DeviceExpert that could replace NCM and NPM. I have two question about those products: is there something in the ManageEngine portofolio that can replace APM (Application Performance Monitor) in order to monitor the application installed on machines ? can the ManageEngine product be installed on the same machine and can they be integrated like the Solarwinds products

Huge filesize of in mysql/data
Hello opManager support, on my opManager server I have a very huge (<100GB) file with the filename "checked". Obviously it's needed by opmanager, but it's way too large. A web search on "mysql file checked" or other variations doesn't work - too many false hits. Do you have an idea how to shrink that file to a more reasonable size? TIA GWeiss

Hi, I am trying to configure SSH so that i can monitor resource usage on our Linux servers but all that happens is that it connects and does nothing. It doesn't even start the initial key exchange. Disk Utilization is way off

MS SQL 64 bit support?
Running OpManager 8 hotfox 8021 Does OpManager support 64 bit MS SQL? I get error: "80041010 - Specified class is invalid. I did prevous OpManager installations and with all adding SQL monitoren went succesfull. All were 32 bit MS SQL.
Adding new category in Device Templates
I have a temperature monitoring device that I would like to add to OpManager v8. I've got the MIB from the vendor and was able to successfully upload it into OpManager. There is no category in the Device Templates for this device and I could not locate anywhere on how to create a new category. I was hoping to at least classify this as a network appliance. Thanks.
Active Directory
Hi all, I'm monitoring Active Directory on 2 DC's. For some reason, the first DC is working fine apart from the AD store dial telling me there is no data available. The second DC's AD store dial is working fine but the majority of the other mornitored process etc are displaying as n/a even though the WMI and SNMP credential check both pass ok. This DC is also a VM machine. Is there any reason why this might be happening? Matt

Admin -> URL Monitors -> Click on existing URL monitor name -> Click "Configure URL" in upper right -> Click "Threshold Settings", and then click "Enable Threshold" Now an area called "Threshold Settings (optional)" comes up. How do these values apply to a URL monitor exactly?

ESX 3.5 Servers Not Adding Correctly
Hi I have installed Opmanager 8 and have set up WMI - SNMP and SSH (using : : # for VMWare) (test SSH with Puty and User Details work ok) The Auto Discovery has found and says added the ESX Server, but these do not show up. Google Earth Integration
Attached are 2 files that I use to display Opmanager status in Google Earth for our big screen in the NOC. Where is the google map stored, want to add overlays like weather.
Is the google map stored on the local OpManager server? I would like to add some overlays to it like weather radar which can be done on the maps.google.com site but I do not see my OpManager map under my google account. If it is stored on the OpManager server would it be possible for the developers to make it so we can add overlays? Thanks! Kevin
"Utilization" monitors not returning data
I've just installed OpManager 8 and am having issues with getting data to display in any of the "Utilization" monitors. We cannot run SNMP, so I am usign WMI. I test the credentials and they work, and I can do a test adn it brings back WMI data. But OpManager doesn't seem to want to do it on its own.
