We have installed OpManger 8 and have it running successfully on a windows box but we require it on a Linux box.
I installed and set it up on a Linux box but with encountered them problem bellow.
This message appears in the "Recent Alarms" widget.
"OpManager has detected that it has lost network connectivity and has suspended all monitoring. Monitoring will be automatically resumed once connectivity is established."
It is not polling servers I have added. I put both my screens side by side (Windows & Linux) and can visibly see only the windows server with OpManager updating.
There is definitely not a network connectivity issue as the alarm implies as I can SSH to the server, and I can still view OpManager in my browser.
The version of Linux I am using is based on Debian (JeOs 8.04 [Ubuntu]). I made sure the iputils-ping package was installed, which I can confirm it is. I also made sure netkit-ping was installed. All other packages that were specifically implied in the manual have been installed to.
Sadly if this brilliant piece of software cannot be installed on a Linux box we will need to look at alternate solutions.
Is there anything I have missed?
