monitor MSSQL on a different port
I have MSSQL running on ports other than 1433, how do I configure the service to monitor SQL on those ports? I have OpManager running with MySQL, so please don't confuse this question with installing OpManager or changing OpManager to use MSSQL. Thanks

I need to know if it is possible to trigger a URL based on an ALERT. Been searching the forum - but unable to find specific info. What we intend to use this for is to trigger an action in another system using a HTTP API (a IP CCTV security system) when a certain SNMP TRAP/ALERT occurs in ManageEngine. In our Citrix farm we often get CPU spikes. I have configured the thresholds so that if CPU is above 95% for 3 checks (15 minutes intervals) then an alert is sent. The issue is that we will get 8 to 12 alerts at once for the same server advising that the threshold is breached and when the error clears, we will receive the same amount of messages advising that the issue has been cleared. WMI Issue with Exchange 2010 Servers
Hello, I'm having a problem with WMI it seems on the Exchange 2010 servers within my domain. I have many file severs set up with WMI monitoring for CPU, disk partitions etc - all working fine. These use a global 'wmiadmin' account which is part of domain admins, & server operators in AD. The credentials test passes (via the passwords part of the servers page in OPMan) yet on the Exchange boxes if I test the WMI say for CPU monitor it fails - The Monitor did not respond to the test request.
CPU Alarms and Multi-CPU Servers
With multi-CPU servers, if CPU utilization goes above our set threshold, we get multiple alarms - one per CPU/core (using the WMI CPU monitor). Is it possible to configure the CPU threshold or alerts to use the total CPU utilization on the server, not one per CPU or core? Thanks, Dan

Disk Utilization - Windows 2008
Hi. When OpManager raice an alarm for a Virtual Windows 2008 server I often increase the disk size for the server. But OpManager does not see that the disk has been increased. Even if I rediscover the server, remove the disk utilization monitor and add it again, it still have an alarm on the utilization. Only removing the server in OpManager and add it again helps. Running both SNMP and WMI. Any other solution to that? Thanks Torsten

Hello, I want to monitor a Eaton ups (Evolution S 3000) on OPManager but I receive an error: When I try to run a test from a performance monitor, I receive a popup with a error message (The Monitor did not respond to the test request). We typically do not utilize the FTP process. I need to see if I can find a way to monitor the process for when it gets turned ON as it should be in an OFF status. Any help is much appreciated.

I get "Cannot add device. This free edition of OpManager does not support adding more than 10 devices". I have only 7 devices in my list... I have deleted a device too, because there is a device I want too try out, but I still get the same error-code. Are there still deleted devices in some kind of config-file so the program think it is 10? I would need some help here, please .....

OpManager Hyper-V monitoring not working in Build 9100
Just upgraded to build 9100 and am trying out the Hyper-V monitoring feature. Hyper-V host is running Windows Server 2008 R2 w/Hyper-V. It has 5 Guest VMs and WMI is enabled an working. When I discover the host, it adds all the VMs properly and all seems well. However, many metrics inside the VM do not work, such as: - Memory usage - CPU usage - vNIC usage ..which makes the monitoring somewhat pointless. Suppressing alarms, including SNMP Traps not working
Hi, I am testing the suppress alarm function in OpManager, so we dont get spammed when a server gets maintenance. The server is monitored by SNMP, CLI and is sending traps for various events. When i select Suppress all alarms, i still get notification mails on SNMP traps send by the server. I also tried to create a maintenance program, including the server and/or businessview, but that does not fix te problem. How can i suppress ALL notifications of a selected server for a periode of time? Kinds

Hello, I have OPmanager set up but I'm looking to get some monitoring for our Exchange (2010 SP1) DAG's, I want to be alerted when the databases switch sites - i.e when one moves to active on another site. Is that possible? I was going to check and see if there is an Event ID relating to it, but I thought OPManager might handle this within a plugin feature or such?
Configuration Management Intermittent Backup Failures - "Device Response Not Available"
Version - 9011 I've setup 3 Cisco devices that I am trying to perform configuration backups through a scheduled process. These backups work when I test the credentials and they even work sometimes through the scheduled process. However, I have received "Backup Failed" errors on 2 of the devices that I know are up and running (no DNS issues, no network issues), but the plugin seems to fail. Discover and monitor ESX host *without* classifying already discovered VMs as "Virtual Devices"
I have an environment where all of the servers, whether they're physical or virtual, have already been discovered, thresholds adjusted, and notification profiles applied. I notice when I discover an ESX host, even if I have auto VM discovery unchecked, all the already discovered "Server" devices on that host get modified to become "Virtual Devices" and the notification profiles and monitoring I had configured on them is removed or changed. Is there any way to monitor an ESX host without this reclassification?
Backup OpManager without NetFlow
Is there a way to execute BackupDB_Mysql.bat and have it skip the NetFlow plugin data? We want to backup only the OpManager database and not the NetFlow database due to it's size. Thanks, Aaron
OpManager Availability problem
Hi all, I have a problem with availability round graph in OpManager. Some devices after the short downtime shown as 100% unavailible, but at the same time device is availible and snmp test shows PASS. This bug may be corrected by rediscovery option.... and as a result in availiability reports this devices shown as down. Is someone have this trouble? What can I do whith this?

Is there a more efficient way to choose which services to monitor? Currently, these are the steps I take to monitor a service: (1) Add the device I want to manage (2) Click on the monitors tab --> Windows Service Monitors --> Add Monitor --> Click [here...] to discover services from device --> choose the service I want (3) Go to the notification profile tab --> Click on the appropriate profile --> click when any [selected...] Windows Service is down --> choose the service from the Criteria window
Upgrading OpManager Free Edition
I'm currently running Opmanager Free edition at home and have been searching for over an hour to see if there is a way to upgrade to the current, without losing my statistical data? I'm running under Linux 64BIT. I've tried the scripts that are located in the bin/backup, but when trying a restore, it complains about version being different. And Google isn't being so kind. Email Alerts too slow
I have a test email alert profile that is set to email if any of the following parameters are met: 1) Device misses 1 poll 2) Echo Service is down 3) If "Cisco Shutdown" TRAP is received It usually takes anywhere from 6-8 minutes of a device being down for an email to be sent. Does anyone know how to set it up to email immediately when a device is offline? Thanks. Respectfully, Will
