I'm having a problem with WMI it seems on the Exchange 2010 servers within my domain. 

 

I have many file severs set up with WMI monitoring for CPU, disk partitions etc - all working fine.  These use a global 'wmiadmin' account which is part of domain admins, & server operators in AD.  The credentials test passes (via the passwords part of the servers page in OPMan) yet on the Exchange boxes if I test the WMI say for CPU monitor it fails -  The Monitor did not respond to the test request.

 

However it works with the same settings for the file servers etc.

 

The Exchange boxes are more restricted from an RDC access point of view, but they have the WMI service running, and as I said they pass the WMI password test.

 

I tried adding the wmiadmin user to the local admin group of the Exchange server, but still the same issue.  I have this problem on both Exchange servers (they are pretty much the same build spec).

 

 I've tried changing the server type and such, no difference. 

 

Any ideas?
