I wish to use our Opmanager system to monitor the number of emails pending in the Exchange 2010 POPs mail queue used for your Servicedesk application, thereby adding another level of integration.
Primarily I want to alert if the Queue exceeds 'x' uncollected mails or if the oldest message is over 'x' minutes old. We occasionally have issues where SD mail fetching fails, and we do not know until someone tells us no tickets have logged for 1 hour for example.
While I appreciate that it would be better to fix the SD issue, this does not appear to be possible in a quick time frame, so I need an emergency measure in place asap.
How do I achieve this?
