Unable to modify Enterprise Dashboard, this restriction is unnecessary and causes problems when a widget fails
I'm evaluating OpManager for a potential purchase and have noticed some problems. I'm running v12.2 on Ubuntu Server 16.0.4 LTS. This issue occurred while trying to edit a widget. The widget disappeared while leaving a blank spot on the dashboard. As I am restricted from making any changes to this dashboard, I cannot delete and re-add the widget to fix the problem. Attached picture shows the problem.
OpManager v12 not recognizing Windows Server 2012 R2 host
I have a Windows 2012 R2 server that OpManager can ping and the credentials test succeeds, but it can't identify it as a server. If I manually associate it with the Windows Server 2012 R2 device template, the dials all work but it continues show the category as 'Unknown' and the Status as 'Device Not Monitored'.
Availability chart shows 100% UP time, even though the device is not pingable.
Dear Support, We have facing a problem since a days in Opmanager 8021 regarding Availability graphs is not proper working, e.g. devices & interfaces was down 24 hours or later but Opmanager showing in graph chat & reports 100% UP…. we trying Repair Database option but issue still persist…. kindly do need full. Stuck in maintenance mode
I set a downtime schedule a couple days ago for some maintenance we had to do on a group of servers in the Downtime Scheduler. After the maintenance window closed, I deleted the schedule so no one would enable it later. I discovered later that the servers that were listed in the schedule are still showing "On maintenance" and the Service and Windows Service Monitors are listed as down. I removed and re-added the monitors and did a rediscover/update status, but it still shows as "on maintenance".
Trouble adding device in business view
Just discovered that the [ADD DEVIE(S)] button is dead! Nothing happens, the other functions (add link, add shortcut) are working fine, we are running Opmanager build 8022. We use the MapMaker function from the opmanager site not the MapMaker client program. /Daniel
Java consumes almost 100% CPU resouces - Windows 2003 server
We are having some problems with JAVA.exe consuming most CPU resources when a user logs on to opmanager. When CPU resources are consumed, the server starts logging numerous system down errors (I assume because of low CPU resources). This also causes the Opmanager application to have very poor response for users. Our OpManager platform is Windows 2003 Server (VMware VM) and opmanager 8021.
Notification Profiles Error Page
Hi Happy New Year after upgrading to 8030 my notifications stoped arriving. I Upgraded to 8040 thinking that it may fix the problem but no luck. I tried to email a report and it works ok so the problem is on OpManager somewere. I tried to go From Admin Tab to Notifications profiles and i receive a page says Error!! My environment is on SQL 2005. I already tried repairdb.bat but it does not display any errors. ID 4205386. The title of the request is : Notifications Profile corrupted After
AIX Monitoring using CLI
Hi, Would like to refer a problem encountered in OpManager in monitoring AIX servers. OpManager cannot monitor the CPU, Memory and Disk utilization. I have already raised this issue but the problem keeps on occurring. We have different versions of AIX: 5.1, 5.3, 6.1 Your immediate response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Frustration...
Hi, OpManager is a fantastic product...when it works. For some reason, today i can't monitor AD or Exchange. Most of the AD monitors report N/A and when i test the monitor, it tells me it isn't responding. This has happened a few times now and i usually have to stop and start the services on the OpManager server. As i said, OpManager is good but it's annoying when it just stops monitoring. Nothing has changed on our servers so it must be down to OpManager. Can anybody advice please?? Matt H
Uptime on Availability Seems Wrong
In availability report, uptime seems a bit nonsense. If i want a report for whole of April, i will start the duration from 1 April 2011 (00:00) until 1 May 2011 (00:00). A report will generate, and uptime will be "30 Days 18hours". How come there is 18hours while April will only have 30 days? Build Number : 8723
Switch Port Mapper is no longer working in OpManager 8022
This was once an issue that support was able to resolve, however this has cropped up again. OpManager's Switch Port Mapper does not display MAC address, IP Address or DNS name. Checked that the correct community string was in place, tested to see if this was an issue with the switch being mapped so downloaded OpUtils 5.6 which then mapped that switch correctly. Please assist us in resolving this issue. Thank you. Rob
Daylight Saving changes not reflected in OpManager
On weekend there was a daylight saving change that moved time forward one hour in Sydney, Australia. The time showing in OpManager for 'real time' on all servers is displaying 1 hour behind. The time on all servers is correct. As a result scheduled downtime is not blocking alarms from server reboots and other alerts are being sent during the day but showing time of incident as one hour earlier . How can this be rectified? Version 8721. Thanks,
Added devices not showing up
Recently, when I add devices they do not show up anywhere in Opmanager. I have tried restarting the server, repairing the database, and just waiting. I can keep adding them over and over and it says successful, but can never find it. I am using Opmanager 8051 on Windows 2003. Any ideas? -Sam

ESX 3.5 Virtual Machine Email Alert Only Showing Machine Name for One CPU Core?
We monitor our ESX VI3 clusters with OpManager and there seems to be a glitch in the alerting for virtual machines with more than one CPU assigned. Example: DatabaseServer01 is assigned 4 CPU and during the course of daily operation, some action causes said CPU's to breach the assigned threshold of 95%. We receive 4 email notifications about this breach, but only one of them actually contains the VM name: Message: CPU Utilization of VM for .707 is 96 %, threshold value for this monitor is 95 %Device:

The upgrade went without a hitch, however I can no longer view the business view we created. Has anyone else experiencing this issue? How may we correct it? Thank you so much. Rob
Status Message Unable to fetch Managed Object details for the object : xxx
Hello, we use OpManager Version 8720. Today we added a VMWare ESxi 4 Server to OpManager. After changing the IP-Adresses of the Virtual-Machines running on that VMWare server, we are not able to see the details of any of those virtual-machines. We always got the Message: Unable to fetch Managed Object details for the objec: xxx Even deleting and readding the VMWare-Server and its Virtual-Machines did not help. Our Database is on Microsoft SQL Server and we run DBRepair without any success. Can you
Traffic is not monitored
Hi! I have a problem with one of our Linux servers. No traffic is monitored there. The credentials work correct (SNMP and CLI). The port is shown as "available" but no other data will be collected. How is that possible? What am I doing wrong? My version is OpManager 8024. Hope you can help me solving this problem! Kind regards, Mok
64bit traffic counters are not working
Hi, I have an issue to monitor traffic on Windows server (2003/2008) and our NetApp storage. 32bit traffic counters are working, but all interfaces are 1Gb and counters can be overwritten. I.e. I need 64bit counters. I tryed to switch 32bit/64bit and vice versa, but it doesn't help. 64bit trafic counters are NA. Can you please help me to resolve this issue ? Thanks.

Interfaces not recognized in OpManager
Dear All, Recently I have upgraded and updated my OpManager version 7 (build number 7200) to version 8 (Service Pack 0 2 4). WMI Monitor Issues
When trying to monitor CPU, Memory, and Disk Utilization using WMI It fails to get results. When performing the test I noticed that it looks like there is a bad path when trying to run the scripts. Opmanager is looking in the directory "/conf/applications/scripts" when the directory is named "/conf/application/scripts". I have attached screenshots for reference. ActualLocation.jpg is the windows explorer view of the file system. WrongLocation.jpg is the test on CPU Monitor. WrongLocation2.jpg is
Test WMI Credential TIMEOUT
Hello, Running 8810. Unable to test wmi credentials, it times out. I am unable to add any new monitors to either physical or virtual servers. I uploaded the SIF. Thanks.
Can't draw a network map!
When I try to draw the network map, I get the error "No switch links found for this device. Please select different seed device" - I've tried all my Layer2 and Layer 3 switches, and get the same result. Do I need to do some extra configuration in OpManger or on the switches? They're all discovered, and the SNMP monitoring works.
View list - next page error
Hello, Running Opmgr 8720. I have 365 devices in a business map. When I show in the list and then I either hit show 500 records to see all the devices on one page or choose the arrow to goto the next page, the error "no devices found for the the XXXXX category." I have uploaded the support logs. Thanks.

Cannot draw network map
I have enabled SNMP on my Cisco switch, and discovered the device on OpManager (recognized as a switch, with the blue star), yet the Network Map tool still says: "No switch links found for this device. Please select a different seed device." Any thoughts? Thanks
Real-time monitor on high speed links
We are finding that the real-time monitors work well for slower speed links like a T-1 but for high speed links with say 15 megabits of traffic the chart jumps wildly. It will spike up to 200 megabits per second for one second and the next nothing then the next second back to 200 megabits per second. What are you using to find the interface speed per poll? Are you assuming a packet is 1500 bytes? Some of our links move a great deal of packets but they are VoIP packets so they are 64 bytes each.
Errors in the "list view" page
Dear all, I have a problem in my OpManager Professional (Build 8721) which refers to my Servers Map. If I open the server map in the "Map" view, i can see all of my configured servers correctly listed and, by clicking on them, i can correctly get all of the details. The problem is that, if i switch to the List View, i see the same servers listed many times up to the number of servers configured. all the others are simply missing in the List View. I've already tried to run a RepairDB with no success...

False Positive - service down
Hello, I have just got some events notified of services that are down; specifically the SQL server services. In a mild state of panic - being the end of the day on a friday and not wanting to work through the weekend - I jumped on the server to have a look and found that everything was normal. There are no events in the event log and certainly no issues with the server. But no matter what I did Opmanager still believes that the services are not working. For your visual reference have a look
IBM xSeries servers Hardware monitoring.
Hi, I'm unable to monitor the hardware status of IBM x3650 series servers. I've enabled SNMP. Is there any additional service need to be installed for hardware monitoring.(like hp insight manager.). Does any one has the detailed steps. Thanks in advance, Arun
Thresholds - all lost over night
Hi, Something happened and we have lost all our thresholds for all devices. The thresholds are not present anymore in the templates. This has happened for all templates in the same time - the standard ones (cisco, windows 2003, all). They are all missing - those built in the original templates but also those modified / added by me. If i go to the a specific monitor I can see the status of the threshold as "normal" in green but if i try to edit the threshold there is nothing as threshold alert or
[Business view] - 0% Traffic map / IE unscrollable X axis
Hi, I just wanted to point out that when using the business view traffic map, when a link has 0% traffic, the link is grayed out, as "-NA-", whereas it should be darkblue, according to the legend. Since -NA- should mean that the port is down. I'd like to mention too that in Internet Explorer (7 and 8), when a background image is wider than the browser window, the horizontal scroll bar does not appear, and the legend is not viewable, nor anything that could be placed beyond the visible
CPU and memory bar in the maps "List view"
Hi, I created a custom template for a Juniper switch EX4200. I configured the monitoring of the CPU and the Memory. I also changed the "opmanager_snapshot_dial.xml" to see the dial on the device detail. I would like to see the same information also in the List view. See the attached file. As you can see the CPU and memory bar are always 0 even if looking the device detail you can see that the memory is 5%. How I can do that? Thanks, Roberto D.
