We are finding that the real-time monitors work well for slower speed links like a T-1 but for high speed links with say 15 megabits of traffic the chart jumps wildly.

 

It will spike up to 200 megabits per second for one second and the next nothing then the next second back to 200 megabits per second.

 

What are you using to find the interface speed per poll? Are you assuming a packet is 1500 bytes? Some of our links move a great deal of packets but they are VoIP packets so they are 64 bytes each.
