ssh Cpu Utilizastion
Hi Guys I am currently switching between opmanager 5.5 on linux to Opmanager 5.6 on windows How ever when performing the cpu utlization via ssh it is not working. I have noticed there is a change between 5.5 and 5.6 intowards the command it runs to retrieve the information 5.5 /usr/bin/vmstat 1 3 5.6 top b n 1 | grep 'CPU[0-9]* states:' All other resource monitoring via ssh is working fine At this stage I do not want to use ssh Please advise me on how to fix this problem

Since yesterday high cpu load (50% java.exe)
Hi, we've opmanager since a few month. since yesterday the the server has a very high cpu load (constant 50% by java.exe). there is no discovery in progress, we didn't have added new devices. i turned off opmanager, execute repairdb.bat an restart the server - but this has no effect. before yesterday the cpu load was about 3-5% Opmanager: 6.002 Java: 1.4.2_08 Any idea? thanks, martin
Event Log rules
I find the configuration of event log rules rather confusing. Our previous monitoring software was designed so that user notification profiles specified the level of event that the user wanted to see (warning, critical, error, etc.), but other than that, all events for that level and above were alerted by default. You could then add filters to block events (based on error type or text strings) by device, device type, or globally. This seemed very logical, since you could not know in advance the types

Problem clearing/deleting alert

Missing Events
Hi, We are testing OpManager in parallel with some other products and we have noticed OpManager occasionally misses Events. I have event monitoring set for 30 seconds, and monitoring of domain controllers set to 1 minute. For the time being, I am only testing for accounts being locked out or unlocked. I would say we miss 2-3 events out of 10. Any suggestions??? Thanks Matt
ServiceDesk Integrations Issues
Using the demo of Opmanager 6005 and ServiceDesk 5501 I setup Add-On/Product Settings in Opmanager. Whenever I click on ServiceDesk within Opmanager I get the assets details but when I attempt to go back to Opmanager, I get the following: "Your session had been timed out for security reasons. Please re-login." Another issue is that when I click on some devices I receive the message "Unable to fetch Hardware Details from ServiceDeskPlus. " -I have verified that the device does exist in ServiceDesk.
Can I monitor a UNIX system using commands
I am trying to monitor specific things happening in my Linux based Jasomi Peerpoint. The item I am trying to monitor is displayed when I logon to the device and issue a "show count" command. This shows me the number of registrations on the Peerpoint. How can I monitor and graph this? Thanks,
Oputils no longer starts
The oputils service suddendly stopped working, there were no changes made to the system. Event viewer indicates a wrapper problem, where do I locate the logs? Thanks, Gene
SNMP only working for SOME monitors
Im working on setting up all our Cisco switches, routers and access points to use SNMP. I have been successful on about 10 and having problems on 4 ... and I have 40 more to configure. The problem that Im having is that I configure snmp on the switch, and then set up the monitors in opManager, test them and one, say the CP Utilization will work and then the Memory Utilzation wont work... however if I come back to the snapshot an while later they will work... it seems very intermitent. Any suggestions?

Ability to configure Multiple states, thresholds and actions
Hi all, First of all.. Probably I'm putting this in the wrong place but I couldn't find a clear place for feature requests.. Sorry for this in advance.. :) OK.. I would like to suggest this.. ;) I miss the ability to specify multiple alarmconditions depending on the state of the device. OpManager not finding devices correctly
Ok I have install OpManager and applied the lastest SP to it. I have the SQL back-end working properly. Now the problem is every device I try to add comes up as a desktop. I made sure that I have the right community string set and SNMP enabled on the devices I am trying to add. I have different comunity strings for certain devices and I have tried them all but they all come up as desktops. We want to use OpManager to monitor routers provided by one of our vendors, and they prefer to limit the MIBS available via the "SNMP_SERVER VIEW" command in the router configuration. One Alarm---->One Notification
Hello, im totally new in OPManager...we have installed it and our server sends notification when an Alarm occurs. But unless you cleared it, OPmanager sends further notification about the same alarm.....what can i do, to tell OPManager "please send only one notification for one alarm" i didn t like to have so much email messages in my postbox please help

Hi, I want to know how to set up a server which is running SQL to record information specific to the SQL e.g. in the MIB browser the MSSQL-MIB file -- the data located in here. Monitoring uses a large amount of CPU on client
Hi, I am currently evaluation the product and have an issue with the amount of CPU usage required on the target domain controllers. Ever since we installed OpManager we have been getting frequent alarms due to the processor queue length thresholds being broken; currently set as the default of 7. Further investigation has led me to conclude that these alarms are occurring when OpManager is polling the domain controllers. OpManager seems to utilising 100% of the CPU for about 5 minutes every 15-20

question about authentication in OpManager
Hello, We are continuing with our tests with OpManager which satisfy us. I would like to know if it's possible to connect to OpManager via Active Directory or LDAP like in HP Sim for instance. We would like to give to some people an access which is not defined in the OpManager database. The user has its local account DomainName\UserName and personalPassword and we would like that several specific persones access to OpManager with their own account. How can we do that please?
