Moving DataBase
Does anyone have a simple, step by step, procedure for moving the OpManager Database, logs, etc. I currently have OpManager installed on the C: partition of the machine and would like to have the data storage on the D: partition. (I need to move the data for all my AdventNet applictions)
Custom Dials and Values in Device Snapshot Dashboard
Allow for the modification of dials, their presentation and the values being displayed (including custom variables) on the device details snapshot page. Currently this is a fixed table and is clumsy with respect to the monitoring of some equipment types.
Reporting Errors
Hi in reporting Servers Top 50 1. Health Report with Period Last Month report ok for March but the Graph has no data available. all other are ok 1. Health Report with Period This Month has this "This month(From Tue, 1 Apr 2008 to Mon, 31 Mar 2008), Time Window - Full 24 hours, for business view Branches_bv" The dates are wrong The availability graph has data but all other are emplty (no data available) Although Time window is mentioned there is no option to select it 2. Startup delay in Initializing Web Server...
An OpMgr Ver 7.0 install on XP is always experiencing a delay during Startup either when "Loading OpManager Services..." or when "Initializing Web Server...". The delay is almost always 3-min 50-sec. After that, OpMgr starts and everything appears normal. I've got the latest hotfix (7027) and have tried repairdb but problem always appears during startup.
mibsToBeLoaded.conf
Hi Is there a posibility to load all mibs containt in direcory? There are a lot of mibs and how to specify to load them all in mibsToBeLoaded.conf .
License View
We are currently using a trial version of optutils, we have not begun to use switchport mapper yet, so we are not sure how many interfaces that we would truly need when selecting a license. Is there a way to view what is currently in use? How does the licensing work if switch port mapper is not used?
Port scan
Another thing that I think would be useful , is if we had an option in the port drop down of "all in list" that would scan all the ports we have put in in the "configure ports" area. Thanks.
Daylight savings time problem
Since the daylight savings time change, opmanager did not advance the time one hour when reporting events. Now all events and alarms are one hour behind. I see that a new build is out. Will this fix the time problem? The time on my server is correct.
Using not equal to in a threshold
I am trying to monitor Dell hardware. The snmp call returns the following. 1: Other 2: Unknown 3: OK 4: Non-critical 5: Critical 6: Non-recoverable The threshold screen only has =, > and < I want the alert to fire when the value is <> 3 How can I do this?
User with "Read Only Access" right can modify data
Hi, I notice that, when you are logged with a user that has "Read Only Access" right, and you specify a device that does not exist in the "Jump to >>" field, you can are prompted to add a device. Interface Speed
Hi, I'm pretty new to OpsManager and need some help in understanding some of the reports shown for the Interface Details. When I check a particular interface of my Cisco switch, for example, in the 'interface details' box it states the speed of the interface to be 1.54 Mbps. I would like to know if this value is obtained by calculating the rate of traffic going through the interface at that point in time or if it states the bandwidth allocated through that interface (meaning that it will continue

How to modify default monitor interval of ressources monitor

Enabling thresholds to all servers for specific items
Hi, How can I enable the threshold counters for a group, or list of devices. For example, by default, the CPU Utilization threshold is not enabled when adding a device. I now want to enable this for all my devices in the Servers catagories. Can you assist? Many thanks, as always, Derek
MIB upload
Sorry to ask what may seem as such a basic question but I have found a MIB that monitors Proliant servers and specifically the RAID array but have no idea how you go about importing it into Op Manager MSP. Can someone please give me a pointer or a document or something. Thanks. :!:

interface stats no longer display
hello, as you can see from the attached, the summary of interface traffic no longer displays on ANY device, but clicking an interface will provide a detailed view, graphs etc. any way to get this feature back? it stopped working a few days ago.

Huge log file
OpManager has a log file that is 19 Gig on my machine. It is a single file. How do I purge that down? Can that be automated?

URL authentication and business views
Two questions: 1. How can I validate that a URL has been authenticated in the URL monitor? Can you tell if any events are generated that can be tracked? 2. How can I create a business view with URL monitors? For example, I'd like to attach a URL monitor to a server in the business view so I can see what URLs will be affected by a server outage. opmanager for WinXP client doesn't show any monitoring

Switch Port Mapper stuck "In Progress"
I am attempting to use the Switch Port Mapper to scan a Cisco 6509 switch. I have successfully added the switch and SNMP community. I am scanning this switch now but it has been stuck at "In Progress" for nearly half an hour. Is this normal?
Switch Ports Operationally Down
Hi there I have a number of Dell switches that we use in our network and monitor with OpManager without any issues. I have recently added a new switch to the team and it reports all the ports that have nothing in them as operationally down. I have a number of other switches that only report as down when something was there and no is not there any more. However with this new switch I am getting errors saying that ports that have never had anything plugged in are operationally down. Here is the specific
DHCP servers
I have problems getting some of my dhcp servers to get added. I tells me they do not have DHCP enabled but they do. And snmp is working as I monitor all of these servers in opmanager, etc. Also, some locations have a cisco 851 giving out dhcp, would be nice if I could monitor those. Thanks!
Rogue Detection -No DNS-

Hi All, I have downloaded OpManager in order to get file conflict alerts from the 2003r2 DFS. Unfotunately I cannot see a section for adding rules to the event log for DFS. Is it possible to generate an alarm from the DFS log in some other way?
OpManager fails to...on a cleared alarm
Page/Log a Ticket in SD/Send Emails when a monitor clears. I've noticed this for a long time, but figured it was due to multiple upgrades of Op. However, after a fresh install and a fresh setup the issue is still there. I'm on the latest version of v7 (7025). I've setup monitor in Op to watch our routers and sometimes we will get paged when an alarm is cleared, but not other times. Routers will page sometimes and not others. I've re-associated the notifications several times and it will work for
