Interface Speed
Hi,
I'm pretty new to OpsManager and need some help in understanding some of the reports shown for the Interface Details.
When I check a particular interface of my Cisco switch, for example, in the 'interface details' box it states the speed of the interface to be 1.54 Mbps.
I would like to know if this value is obtained by calculating the rate of traffic going through the interface at that point in time or if it states the bandwidth allocated through that interface (meaning that it will continue to be 1.54 Mbps unless I change the rate-limiting). I am guessing it is the former since I've never rate-limited the interface itself, but I'd like to confirm it from a more credible source.
